Stampin’ Up! Free Shipping, Retiring Lists, Weekly Deals, and Secret Garden!

Hey there! Just posting quick today. I have a workshop tonight and tomorrow night that I am prepping for, so I'm a bit time crunched today. I've been trying to add a few non-stamping additions to my day that take bites out of my prep (and blogging!) time, coupled with the dratted Typepad downtime that we experienced for almost 5 days, it's really gotten me out of my blogging routine! I'm trying to exercise more and eat healthier to try to relieve some inflamation and joint pain I've been experiencing. It seems to be helping, but I just don't have my new routine figured out yet. I'm so sorry!

If you get (and open) my  newsletter emails you know about the FREE SHIPPING that Stampin' Up! has going on right now, but just in case you missed it:

I can't leave you without showing you a little something stamp-y, can I?

Stampin_up_secret_garden_kathy_johnson

A pretty little thinking of you card by Kathy Johnson from one of my past monthly swaps! Cathy stamped the Secret Garden image on Whisper White, then ran the layer through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder, giving it an embedded look! The greeting is from Thoughts & Prayers, and she cut out one of the Secret Garden blooms with the Secret Garden Framelit Dies.

Secret Garden stamps and framelits, as well as the Square Lattice TIEF are both on the Retiring List. Don't delay if you want them for your collection, and shipping is still free through tomorrow!

That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's the supplies for Kathy's card. Just click on any image to go directly to my Online Store:

Stampin’ Up! Afternoon Picnic Tea Party Card!

Stampin’ Up! Afternoon Picnic Tea Party Card!

Hey there! Good day today. I slept Nyquil-free last night! yay!

I have just a few more workshops left for Sale-a-bration. The next one is Thursday night for Kim. Last summer when I did a workshop for her we made a teapot card using the Gingham Garden Designer Paper. You can see that card HERE. Kim enjoyed the card so much she wanted to make it again, so I re-created it using Afternoon Picnic Designer Paper, Sahara Sand Cardstock, and the Tea Party stamp set:

Stampin_up_tea_party_1 - Copy

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. It's very soft and vintag-y, in contrast to the bright and retro one from last summer!

Stampin_up_tea_party_2 - Copy

The body of the teapot is embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder. We are inserting a tag made with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and stamped with a sentiment from Blooming With Kindness.

Stampin_up_tea_party_3 - Copy

We are adding a few tiny pearls to the Tea Party teapot, and the ends of the tag are stamped with the scallop stamp from the Tea Party set with Wisteria Wonder ink.

Stampin_up_tea_party_4 - Copy

Since this card is a little larger than your standard-size, we are making a custome envelope with more Afternoon Picnic Designer Paper and the Envelope Punch Board.

That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's the supply list for today's project. Click on any of the pictures to find that item in my Online Store:

Stampin’Up! Winter Serene Silhouettes!

Stampin’Up! Winter Serene Silhouettes!

Hey there! Today I have a card to show you I CASED and adapted from Penny Thomas and Patty Bennett. I needed a more "winter" themed card for a workshop I'm doing tomorrow. I will bring a "thinking of you" and a "happy birthday" stamp to the party so this can be adapted from the Christmas theme it has right now:

Stampin_up_serene_silhouettes_greetings_of_the_season_1

Super-duper easy to make! Here's why:

  • It's all one color of cardstock – Crumb Cake! The base is left plain, the next layer(4" x 5 1/4") is Square Lattice embossed and sponged with Crumb Cake ink. The next layer (3" x 4") is left plain, then the final layer (2 3/4" x 3 3/4") is stamped with Early Espresso and sponged with Crumb Cake!
  • The Crumb Cake card base is from a package of Cut & Ready Card Bases. A package of 20 card-ready, cut-to-size (8 1/2" x 5 1/2"), scored (at 4 1/4") for $4.95! A great value when you need to make a card quick or alot of cards at once!
  • Only two colors of ink – Crumb Cake and Early Espresso
  • Only two stamp sets – Serene Silhouettes & Greetings of the Season
  • Only three embellishments – Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder, Stampin' Sponge, and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details!

Stampin_up_serene_silhouettes_greetings_of_the_season_2

After you put the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the little birds there is a bit of drying time for the glue before you can mail it, but it's really not that long if you don't put the details on too thick!

Here's the info for the Cut & Ready Card Bases (only available until December 31st!)

B1_Cut_Ready_Oct2213_NA

Whisper White Cut & Ready Card Bases    #135804   $4.95

Very Vanilla Cut & Ready Card Bases          #135805   $4.95

Crumb Cake Cut & Ready Card Bases          #135806   $4.95

Smoky Slate Cut & Ready Card Bases          #135807   $4.95

Cherry Cobbler Cut & Ready Card Bases     #135808   $4.95

Old Olive Cut & Ready Card Bases                #135809   $4.95

Pool Party Cut & Ready Card Bases              #134810   $4.95

Here's why these card bases will help you relax and enjoy the season:

  1. You'll save work and time not having to cut and score cards-even if you're simply making a card or two.
  2. You'll be able to make multiples in no time.
  3. There's no trimmer required unless you need to cut layers!

Stampin’Up! Owl Punch Turkey!

Stampin’Up! Owl Punch Turkey!

Hey there! I had a request for a punch turkey for a party I'm doing later this week, so today I got busy and created these guys using the Owl Builder Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch:

Stampin_up_owl_punch_turkey1
I used the Owl Builder Punch for the turkey body and the Scallop Oval punch for the turkey tail. The greeting on the card is from the Truly Grateful stamp set.

Stampin_up_owl_punch_turkey6
I created this guy first, a table favor attached to a Hershey Nugget. Then I decided to turn him into a card so I stepped him up just a bit by embossing the "feathers" with the Perfect Polka Dot, Fancy Fan, and Houndstooth Textured Impressions Folders. The Crumb Cake layer behind the turkey is embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder.

Stampin_up_owl_punch_turkey2

Sweater Weather Designer Paper coordinated perfectly with the cardstock colors of Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry.

The Owl Builder Punch is SO versatile, I find I use some part of it on almost every punch project I use. I don't know how we got along without it before Stampin' Up! created it, and I hope we don't have to do without it for a long time!

Well, that's all for now. To order any of the products used for this project you can go to my website: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’Up! Perfect Blend is Perfect!

Stampin’Up! Perfect Blend is Perfect!

Happy Monday morning! Today is my day to design my SWOW and my Christmas Card Classes for this month! I will be keeping Liam the rest of the week starting tomorrow afternoon, so I need to get my creative work done today so all I have to do is cut paper and play with him the rest of the week! If all goes well today I should have some new ideas to show you tomorrow!

Until then, I finally got a chance yesterday to photograph and categorize the swaps my downline swaped at convention for me. It still seems weird that I missed the biggest Stampin' Up! Convention ever, but I know it was for the best and that I was where God wanted me to be, so I'm o.k. with it.

Today's swaps were created with the Perfect Blend stamp set. I have a confession: I don't own this set. Shocker, I know, as I probably do have 80% of the sets in the catalog. (Hey, I get alot of them free with Hostess Benefits, Title Benefits, Sale-a-bration Benefits, Annual Awards, and Incentives!) So I was really glad to get a few samples using it.

Lorraine Duran created this one with Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso. I love how the Crumb Cake vertical strip was textured with the Square Lattice folder to give it the look of the cardboard cozies they put around the cups when you buy them in the airport!

Lorraine duran perfect blend

The only thing I can tell you about the creator of this swap is that her name is "crazycatstamper", but I really like the way she paired Pool Party, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede together. She used the Square Lattice folder on the cup cozie section this time, and added some bling with an edge of Clear Dazzling Details along the edge of the black oval. You can't tell in this picture, but she also added Crystal Effects to the cup lid to give it a "plastic" effect!

Crazycatstamper perfect blend

The last card in my Perfect Blend collection was created by Beverlee Morales. Beverlee chose a more feminine route with her choices of Early Espresso & Whisper White, with a dash of Melon Mambo Gingham Garden Designer Paper for the cups, Silver Glimmer Paper for the scallop border, Tea Lace Doily, and a Simply Pressed Clay flower! Seems like the Square Lattice folder is a natural to use with this set. Beverlee used it to emboss the Whisper White layer!

Stampin’ Up! Geometric Best of Birthdays!

Stampin’ Up! Geometric Best of Birthdays!

Today's card is another CASE (and change) from the talented Artisan stamper, Wendy Wexler! This project was another of the Punch Club projects from this weekend using several Stampin' Up! Square Punches and Best of Birthdays stamp set!

Geometrics 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

I used the retiring River Rock cardstock and ink, as well as retiring Certainly Celery cardstock. After running the Very Vanilla layer through the Big Shot in the Chevron Textured Impressions Folder I used the River Rock inkpad Direct-to-Paper to ink up the raised chevron pattern.

Geometrics 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

The inside word is from Seasonal Sayings, a Holiday Catalog set that is on the Carry Over List in the Occasions Catalog. I used the River Rock inkpad again Direct-to-Paper to get the swished-ink look!

I used a BUNCH of Stampin' Up! Square punches to make this card:

1" Square Punch #124094 $15.95

1 1/4" Square Punch  #119865 $15.95

1 3/8" Square Punch  #119877 $16.95

Postage Stamp Punch #122344 $15.95

Here's how I made those cute little "square rings":

Geometrics 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

I punched the Real Red cardstock first with the 1" Square Punch, then set aside the punched-out square to use elsewhere on the card. I then inserted the negative image from the punching into the Postage Stamp punch, "eyeballed" it for eveness, and punched out the cutest little "square ring" you ever saw!

After embossing the various-sized squares with the Perfect Polka Dot, Square Lattice, and Chevron Textured Impressions Folders, I attached them to the card front with SNAIL adhesive and Tombow Multi-purpose Adhesive Glue (on the skinny little square rings!)

That's it for today! I'm going to be working on the projects for my "Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Class" this Friday, so check back tomorrow to see some of the projects we will be making!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Textured Impressions Folders used:

Chevron #127749 $7.95

Square Lattice #119976 $7.95

Perfect Polka Dot #117335 $7.95

The free shipping special is over, but you can still go to my website anytime to place your order!
