Stampin’ Up! Happy Watercolor to the Moon!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Watercolor to the Moon!

Hey there! It was a "Liam day" today, the first one since before Christmas! yay! Logan and Ben are taking turns going up to Kimmy's house to keep him but today Logan didn't feel real great so Liam's daddy dropped him off here this morning. Liam & I had fun sorting through the toybox! I actually always enjoyed doing that when my kiddos were little. I enjoy putting all the pieces back together, and they enjoy rediscovering the toys after they are re-assembled! I also cleaned out my bathroom sink cabinet, courtesy of Liam's "encouragement"! He loves to pull out the drawers and open the doors while I am brushing my teeth, so afterwards we just cleared it all out, pitched out the old or not used anymore, then rearranged! Not necessarily what I thought I would do with my day, but hey, grandbabies don't stay babies very long do they? The rest of it can wait!

Alisa & Oakley came over for awhile later in the afternoon and we had fun putting Oakley and Liam in the tub together too! All in all a FUN day!

I have a new card to show you. I created this one last week while finishing my prep for my SAB Kickoff using the Happy Watercolor, Hardwood, and Love You to the Moon stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog:

Stampin_up_happy_watercolor_1

I stamped the flower and the phrase on two pieces of Watercolor Paper, then cut out the flower with an Apothecary Accents Framelit. I stamped the watercolor "smear" (is that what it is? I'm not sure!) behind the blossom with Pool Party ink, then used an Aquapainter to blur the ink over the paper.

I stamped the Hardwood stamp with Crumb Cake ink on the Baked Brown Sugar layer. After adding the half a Tea Lace Doily, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, and my stamped elements I spritzed it all with Vanilla Smooch Spritz, then added a tiny flower punched with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center!

Stampin_up_love_you_to_the_moon

Inside I did not re-ink the Hardwood stamp, I just breathed on the rubber to re-moisten the ink before stamping on a layer of Very Vanilla. I added the "thanks for being mine" from Love You to the Moon with Crumb Cake ink.

That's all for now. To order Happy Watercolor, Hardwood, or Love You to the Moon, click HERE to go to my Online Store.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Vivid Vases and Sweet Sorbet!

Stampin’ Up! Vivid Vases and Sweet Sorbet!

Hey there! We started our day with a glaze of ice on the ground and cars, but we still had church, morning and evening, so the day has been a good one! Most of our family was here for lunch, and I kept the three littlest grandsons in the nursery tonight at church, so I've had a really good day!

If you checked out my upcoming classes post on Saturday you got a glimpse of this card, which is part of my Vivid Vases Class later this month:

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_1

We all received Vivid Vases as one of our Leadership stamp sets. It's so nice that Stampin' Up! will give us a heads-up before an event so we can choose to not purchase a set we are going to receive with our event check-in!

I paired it with the Pool Party/Whisper White/Basic Black print from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper Pack (free with a $50 order!) to coordinate with the Card-in-a-Box I showed you a few days ago. I chose to paper-piece a couple of the vases using my Paper Snips, then used a Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker and a White Stampin' Chalk Marker to color in and/or highlight the remaining ones. I stamped the envelope with the same stamp with Pool Party ink.

Stampin_up_vivid_vases_2

I thought this phrase from Starburst Sayings coordinated well with the greeting on the front. I stamped the vases on the bottom edge with Pool Party ink on the Pool Party cardstock.

It's a pretty simple card that wouldn't take alot of supplies to do:

Vivid Vases #133818 wood-mount only $11.95

Starburst Sayings  #133182 wood-mount $25.95, #133185 clear-mount $18.95

Starburst Framelit Dies #132967 $26.95

(Starburst Sayings stamps & framelits are also available in bundles, both wood and clear-mount at a 15% savings!)

Pool Party #122924, Basic Black #121045, and Whisper White #100730 cardstock

Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319 $5.95

Pool Party inkpad #126982 & marker (not for sale individually, it is only available as part of the Subtles Marker Pack#131263 $28.95 for 10 markers)

Paper Snips #103579 $9.95

Jet Black StazOn pad #101406 $7.95

White Stampin' Chalk Marker #132133 $3.50

Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (FREE with a $50 order!)

You can order your supplies to make this card when you click HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day, Valentines, One More Time!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day, Valentines, One More Time!

Hey there! Earlier this week I received my monthly packet of swaps. It took me about a day and a half to find the time to open it, but when I did I was not disappointed! Today I'm going to share the valentines that were in the packet. Next Sunday I will share some of the other fantastic swaps that were in there, but for today here goes:

Stampin_up_take_care_language_of_love

First, a really sweet and simple one from Barb Dykhouse. Barb tore a piece of paper, then laid it on the Whisper White layer and sponged ever-so-gently with Smoky Slate ink. She stamped the tree branch from Take Care next, then stamped and punched out the little hearts from the Language of Love set with the Small Heart punch. She then added the "heartstrings" with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. LOVE it!

Stampin_up_love_you_to_the_moon

This was another swap I received at Leadership by Michelle Suit. Michelle used the Love You to the Moon stamp set, pairing it with Fresh Prints Designer Paper and the On Film Framelits. The tiny hearts were punched with the Owl Builder Punch! Cute!

DSC_0289

Karen Kurz created this one with the Perfect Pennants stamp set, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, and Envelope Punch Board. She punched the seemingly dozens of hearts with the Small Heart punch from Silver Glimmer, Champagne Glimmer, and Red Glimmer Paper. The Soft Sky heart in the background was punched with the Full Heart Punch.

Stampin_up_petite_petals

I swapped with Linda Wright at Leadership for this one! Real Red cardstock, Fresh Prints DSP, Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Petite Petals stamps and punch and Labels Collection Framelits combine to create a quick and perky valentine!

Stampin_up_flowerful_heart

Katy Simecka used the Flowerful Heart wood-only stamp (still available unti February 14th!) with Retro Fresh Designer Paper, Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim, and a banner from the Perfect Pennants set for her valentine offering.

Stampin_up_banner_blast

Tamie Ackerson used the free SAB set, Banner Blast with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder and a Delightful Dozen greeting. She added a Red Glimmer Small Heart for her finishing touch!

Stampin_up_best_of_love

Last but definitely not least, Ruth Bingle used Whisper White Cardstock Vellum over the "love" stamp from Best of Love (still available until March 31st) to give a frosted, elegant look! I also love the crisp textured look of the wavy Fresh Prints paper under the Whisper White Small Heart-punched layer. Ruth added a litle bit of Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon tied in a bow. Simply perfect!!!!!

That's all for now. It's not too late to order Valentine stamps! To shop and place your order (and choose a free Sale-a-bration item when your merchandise total reaches $50!) click HERE to go to my Online Store.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Spiral Flower Die!

Stampin’Up! Spiral Flower Die!

Hey there! I'm almost ready for my Sale-a-bration Kick-off tomorrow! No sleeping on the couch for me tonight! (If you saw my Leadership presentation, you get the reference, lol!)

Yesterday I played with a lot of fun stuff from the Occasions Catalog! I used the Spiral Flower Originals Die (#129279 $17.95) to create this:

Stampin_up_spiral_flower_die

I used Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Blushing Bride cardstock for all 7 of the roses. After cutting the paper with the Spiral Flower die, I curled all of the spirals with my bone folder, then starting with the outer end of the spiral, I wound each one around itself. When done, I let each one "relax" while I wound the rest of them, then use a hot glut gun to secure the spirals to the built-in base.

I created a belly-band for the Kraft Gift Box with Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper and Wild Wasabi cardstock. After attaching a Tea Lace Doily to the top, I added Wild Wasabi leaves cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder. I then added the flowers with the hot glue gun again, then tucked some Bird Builder punched-leaves to fill in between the blossoms.

I white heat-embossed the tag from Chalk Talk on Wild Wasabi cardstock, cut it out with the Chalk Talk framelit, then mounted it on a piece of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock. Baked Brown Sugar coordinated perfectly with the Kraft Gift Boxes!

After adding the tag under the doily, I then spritzed the entire thing with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. I actually added a bit of spritz to a Stampin' Spritzer, then filled it full of 91% Rubbing Alcohol. This stretches the smooch spritz, allowing more coverage, and also keeps it from clogging the nozzle of the spritzer.

That's all for now! You can order your own Spiral Flower Orignals Die, Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper, and Kraft Gift Boxes from my Online Store HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
