Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! As promised, I have swaps to share today! Let's get started:

Stampin_up_tap_tap_tap

First, a brand-new set called Tap, Tap, Tap. The Hardwood background was stamped on all five cardstock strips to give it a "paneling" look.

Stampin_up_wetlands_1

Next, color was sponged on the background, the Wetlands goose was stamped, then framed with "Polaroid" mat cut with the On Frame framelit dies.

Stampin_up_lovely_as_a_tree

Lastly, the oldie-but-goodie set, Lovely As a Tree was given a fresh look with the "split negative" technique. DID YOU KNOW? Lovely As a Tree has been in the Stampin' Up! catalog for over TWELVE years? It is the longest-sold stamp set ever! I've been a demo for 11 years, but it has been with Stampin' Up! longer than I have! This card combines Lovely As a Tree, Hardwood Background, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, and a bit of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape. Perfect!

That's all for now. Enjoy your Sunday! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Flower Patch for the 4th!

Stampin’ Up! Flower Patch for the 4th!

Hey there! Happy 4th of July! I'm having one of the most hectic (and fun!) summers in a long time, which isn't leaving much time for blogging. I actually got up at 5:30 a.m. just  to post this, and if you know me at all you know I DON'T DO EARLY very well! LOTS going on at my house, all good, which means this summer is whizzing by, and by looking at my calendar, I don't think it's going to slow down.I leave for the Stampin' Up! Inspire, Create, Share Convention in less than two weeks, then a quick family vacation to French Lick, Indiana, then keeping my grandson, Jaxon, for a few days. Add in Punch & Technique Class, Christmas in July Classes, a handful of hostess stamping parties and July is completely BOOKED!

I created this card a few weeks ago using my new Flower Patch stamp set:

Stampin_up_flower_patch_1 - Copy

I was going for a fireworks-Fourth-of-July effect. What do you think?

The "celebration" image is from the Project Life Remember This set.

Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Real Red inks stamped on Whisper White.

Stampin_up_flower_patch_2 - Copy

After stamping and assembling I added a thin layer of clear Dazzling Details. It takes several minutes for this sparkly glue to dry so leave it laying flat.

Stampin_up_flower_patch_3 - Copy

Inside is a sentiment from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit inked with Stampin' Write Markers.

That's all for now. Low-key plans today. I will be stamping and my hubby will be farming, but we are continually thankful for our freedoms to decide how to spend our days!

Here's a supply list for my Online Store:

Stampin’ Up! New Weekly Deals and a Blendability Release Date!

Stampin’ Up! New Weekly Deals and a Blendability Release Date!

Hey there! It's raining here today. ALOT. It's dark and sleepy. I wanted to stay in bed all morning, but there's too much to do for that!

Before I share the new weekly deals and a card, I want to let you know that we finally have a release date for the first 6 colors of Blendabilities Markers!!!!!

Drum roll  . . . . . .

JULY 1ST!!!!!!!!!

That's right! Beginning July 1st, (which is just one week away!) You will be able to finally order Blendabilities in the following colors:

  • Cherry Cobbler (item #130995)
  • Coastal Cabana (item #131000)
  • Daffodil Delight (item #130998)
  • Old Olive (item #130999)
  • Pumpkin Pie (item #130997)
  • Rich Razzleberry (item #131003)
  • Skin Tone Assortment (item #129370)

Each color comes in a 3-pack of light, medium, and dark of the designated color. I've played with these some already and they are SO MUCH FUN!

Each color pack will be $11.95 for all three hues with the exception of the Skin Tone Assortment, which  will be $22.95

In addition, the following accessories will also be available:

  • Memento Ink Pad (item #132708) $5.95
  • Memento Ink Refill (item #133456) $4.95
  • Color Lifter (item #129369) $4.95 -This might be better called a "color lightener". It DOES NOT erase color completely, it more like bleaches or lightens it. And it DOES NOT work on our regular Classic water-based dye ink at all.

More good news! The next 6 colors will be available for you to purchase on August 1st!

Whew! Are you as excited as I am? Up to now all I've been able to do is just tell my customers "no you can't order the Blendabilities yet, and we don't have a release date either". I'm SO GLAD to be able to give you a start date! yay!

Another exciting announcement are the new Weekly Deals for June 24-30! Great time to get the Big Shot toys you've been wanting at 25% off! Go to my Online Store HERE and click on the "Products" tab, then "shop now"!

Here's today's card, another creation by my downline, Linda Reaney. Linda used the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies (on sale in the Weekly Deals this week!) to cut out the tree in the new Hostess set, Nuts About You!

Stampin_up_nuts_about_you_1

I love Linda's choice of the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder to emboss the Early Espresso layer and the new Mossy Meadow In Color is perfection for the foliage!

How about the perky little Pool Party birds?!

That's all for now! Here's the supply list for Linda's card. You can find all of these items in my Online Store too:

Stampin’ Up! Perfect Peacock by Linda!

Stampin’ Up! Perfect Peacock by Linda!

Hey there! Just a quick post this afternoon before I'm off to a stamp class in West Frankfort this evening!

I held my quarterly Yes Mam's downline meeting on Saturday. We had a shoebox swap, a yummy potluck lunch, and a class taught by Crystal Lopez on using the soon-coming Blendabiities alcohol markers from Stampin' Up! It was a blast!

I encourage my downline to bring projects they have been working on and sharing in their classes, and of course everyone is encouraged to bring their cameras to take pics of my displays and the projects their sister Mam's share.

Linda Reaney brought two cards she had created using the new Perfect Peacock stamp from the Annual Catalog. First, she stamped, colored with markers, then added a used dryer sheet with our Stampin' Glue Stick. Lastly she sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter:

Stampin_up_perfect_peacock_2

It's quite pretty, but it pales in comparison to her next creation:

Stampin_up_perfect_peacock_1

For this one Linda stamped, colored with markers, and then used the "Faux Diamond Dust" technique to give it the all-over sparkle! Gorgeous!

Here's a quick step-by-step for "Faux Diamond Dust":

1. Stamp image and color as needed.

2. Pat entire cardstock piece with an Embossing Buddy to completely dry the ink so it won't smear when you do Step #3.

3. Pat a Versamark inkpad all over image piece. Make sure you have the clear, sticky ink evenly all over the image and the surrounding cardstock.

4. Sprinkle all with Iridescent Ice Stampi' Emboss Powder. Tap excess back into container.

5. Heat with Heat Tool. Do not over-heat, as this will cause the Iridescent Ice to lose its' sparkle.

Linda did an excellent job coloring the peacock, and her choice of combining this image with the "Faux Diamond Dust" technique was pure genius!

That's all for now! You can purchase your Perfect Peacock stamp and all the supplies to do the Faux Diamond Dust technique from my Online Store:
