Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day February 21st!

Hey there! Today I have a set of four cards all created with the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle!

First, the focal point of Emily Tull's gift card holder is this Minnie/Mickey-themed creation using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch! (for some strange reason I can't get the full card to upload to my blog, but this is the best part)

Next, Cathy Miller used a "bubble wrap" technique to create the fun background for her Sweet Ice Cream thank-you card. To do this easy technique you simply ink up a section of bubble wrap, then lay it on your card stock and press gently to transfer the ink. You are basically turning bubble wrap into a stamp!

Linda Pagel also used the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle:

She added a bit of Champagne Shimmer Paint to the scoop after embossing with the Painted Texture 3D folder, then added a Red Rhinestone for a "cherry"!

Finally, Ami Wilson used the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle to create a 3-dimensional ice cream cone!

So cute!

Stampin’ Up! Masked Pretty Perennials!

Hey there! I decided to re-visit the masking technique I first showed you HERE.

The card I created to day was just as simple, but with a color combo of Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, and Tuxedo Black.

To create my mask I used a piece of 5" x 3" copy paper, tearing along the top and bottom edges. I secured the 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White layer to my grid sheet, then secured the mask across the layer on each edge. I then stamped the blooms with some of them on the mask.

After I had stamped all of the images, I removed the mask to expose the blank area that was then ready to stamp my greetings:

"happy for you" is all from Pretty Perennials. I added a few rhinestones for some sparkle.

I tied two 10" lengths of Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon into a double bow.

I stamped the inside with more blooms but left off any sentiment so I can use it for any occasion.

Stampin’ Up! Flower & Field Pretty Perennials!

Hey there! Today I have another card created with the Flower & Field Sale-a-bration 12"x 12" Designer Series Paper. This time I paired it with the Pretty Perennials stamp set to create a fast and easy birthday card:

This card is pretty straight-forward. I simply added 1 3/4" x 4" strips of Flower & Field Designer paper to the top and bottom of a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel, then stamped the greetings in the open space in the middle with Just Jade and Tuxedo Black ink.

I added a length of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon tied in a knot and a few Matte Black Dots to complete the look.

Stampin’ Up! Hey Chick Fun-Fold!

Hey there! Today I have the card I was unable to share during the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop due to my ongoing health problems with anxiety. Here's hoping a praying I have a string of good days ahead!

I created my fun-fold card with the Hey Chick bundle and one die from the Birthday Chick dies. I also used Flower & Field Sale-a-bration 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. I colored my hen with Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, and Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.

Inside I added a 1" x 11" wide strip of Just Jade card stock scored at 2 1/4", 5 1/2", and 8 1/4", folded into a "W" and adhered to the inside of the card. I used various dies from both the Chick Dies and Birthday Chick Dies to embellish, cut from Just Jade, Bumblebee, and Whisper White.

I love all of these dies!

The sentiments are all from Hey Chick.

Stampin’ Up! A Fun Fold Tomorrow!

Hey there! I know you've come to my blog today expecting to see a fun-fold created for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop, but the card is not ready and I am not participating in the hop this month. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment my failure to be posting today may cause. I want to explain a why this has happened.

Ever since I had a virus the two weeks before Christmas I have been mainly dealing with a growing problem of anxiety that has also affected my blood pressure. I've never had a problem with High Blood pressure before, so this is all new to me. My anxiety first started back in April after the shutdown, but it was mild compared to what I've been experiencing since the quarantine was over. It's not connected to anything happening in the world or in my life right now, so everything should be going fine, but I am not. I've been working with a doctor and had medication that we thought was working well, but some days for some unknown reason the meds don't work and I am jittery, nervous, and cannot eat. I've lost quite a bit of weight and more hair than usual, so I am really struggling some days. The days leading up the the hop have been especially difficult. Today I feel much better and am looking forward to my regularly scheduled doctor's appointment on Wednesday.

That said, due to some extra medication I have felt much better today and am working on my fun fold card. I plan to get my post up and ready for tomorrow morning.

I hope this will shed some light on my current situation and why my blog posts have at times been sporadic. I am hoping (and covet your prayers) that I will be able to recover from this and can get back to my normal life of babysitting Fiona, stamping, and participating in life.
