Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette Triple Time!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette Triple Time!

Hey there! The card I'm sharing today we won't be making at the Stampin' In the New Year Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack, but I wanted to share it with you now because I love it so much and it's also made with the Petal Palette stamp set!

I have two versions of this card. The first is what I would call Triple Time Clean-and-Simple. The layers are also shifted to the left instead of centered in traditional Triple Time, which does make it a little trickier to line up before and after stamping, but I love the look!

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps1

I used Pool Party for the card base and the mat layers, and Whisper White for the image layers.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps2

To stamp the layers triple-time, I used a tiny bit of adhesive behind each layer to keep them in place while stamping. I inked the bloom/leaves image with Bermuda Bay ink, then used a baby wipe to remove the ink from the leaves. I inked the cleaned leaves with Old Olive using a Stampin' Write Marker. I stamped all of the layers at the same time for the triple-time effect.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps9

I used the measurements on my grid sheet to line up the edges of the layers 1/2" apart. This is the key to the Triple-Time Stamping technique.

Stampin_up_petal_passion_triple_time_carolpaynestamps11-1

After stamping I took the layers apart and backed each one with a Pool Party layer that is 1/4" longer and wider than the stamped layer it is adhered to. After adhering all of the layerts to the card base I added a bow tied with Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon using a glue dot. I also added a single Petal Passion Embellishment with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps3

My second version is stepped-up by embossing all of the stamped layers with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before I took it apart to add the Pool Party layers.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps5

This one is actually my fave!

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps10

There are two different styles in the Petal Passion Embellishments pack, the flower and this little leafy branch. Both can be added to your projects with glue dots, or tied with narrow ribbon, baker's twine, or thread.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_triple_time_carolpaynestamps7

I stamped the inside of both cards the same using a Petal Passion phrase with Bermuda Bay ink. To stamp the bloom/leaves I simply breathed (huffed) on the previously inked image before stamping to get a lighter, faded look.

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette for Stampin’ In the New Year!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette for Stampin’ In the New Year!

Hey there! Today's card is another one we will be making at my Stampin' In the New Year Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack next Monday. The Petal Passion Suite is my absolute favorite from the upcoming Occasions Catalog. If I could only own ONE set from this catty, Petal Palette would be it. I love that there are coordinating framelits too!

Inspired by Mary Fish, I made some changes to make this card my own:

Stampin_up_petal_palette_carolpaynestamps2

Starting with a Crumb Cake card base, I layered on Powder Pink, then a Crumb Cake layer I embossed with an inked Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After stamping the Petal Palette images with Basic Black Archival ink on Crumb Cake, I used a Sponge Dauber to add Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink to the blooms and leaves. I cut them out with a die from the Petals & More Thinlets Dies. The dies and the stamp set are bundled together to save you 10%. After cutting out the blooms and adhering to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals I added some shimmer with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_carolpaynestamps3

Before I stamped and cut out the chickadee, I sponged a scrap of Crumb Cake with Whisper White Craft ink and dried with my heat tool. I liked the look much better than when I added the white ink to the stamped birdie. The birdie on the left is stamped over the sponged white ink. The birdie on the right is stamped first and then sponged with ink.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_carolpaynestamps6  Stampin_up_petal_palette_carolpaynestamps7

I perched the birdie on a greeting banner stamped with a Petal Palette phrase and cut with a Petals & More Thinlet Die. I added a single pearl to the far end of the greeting banner.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I stamped a sentiment from the Big on Birthdays set, found in the Annual Catalog. I colored the corner blooms with sponge daubers.

Hey there! Welcome to the Alaska Achiever's Blog Hop for December 2017! Our theme every month is our own choice this year, so I'm going to share an Occasions Catalog/Sale-a-brtion Sneak Peek with you that we will be making at my "Stampin' In the New Year" Stamp-a-Stack next Monday on New Year's Day!

I used the Party Pandas Sale-a-bration set with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this:

Stampin_up_party_pandas_carolpaynestamps1

I was inspired to create this card by  this dress I found on Pinterest:

D636ba3c6ffb4a7b7f856df6ba01e28b

To create the leafy background I inked the negative side (the side with the leaves not popped up) of the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder with black ink, inserted the layer of Emerald Envy card stock, and ran it through my big shot.

Stampin_up_party_pandas_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped one of the three pandas in the Party Pandas set with black ink on Whisper White card stock and cut him out with Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_party_pandas_carolpaynestamps4

After I added him to the center of the card I punched Whisper White flowers with the Tree Builder Punch and added them with glue dots. I hand-drew flower centers with a Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. The greeting is also from Party Pandas, stamped with Basic Black ink and punched with the Classic Label Punch.

Stampin_up_party_pandas_carolpaynestamps1

Inside I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Wit set in the new Occasions Catalog that starts January 3rd. I stamped the confetti, also from Party Pandas, with Emerald Envy ink.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas with the Mams Continued!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas with the Mams Continued!

Hey there! Katie Wolters gave me a really great gift at our Yes Mam! Stamper's Christmas Party. Actually TWO gifts because the card she made was awesome too! She used the Spooky Cat photopolymer set in an out-of-the-box way; using the "hoot owl" to create a "snowy owl" for a winter/Christmas card! The second gift is the gorgeous wood card holder Katie helped her dad make! Simple and versatile, you can set it in the grooved base for a portrait presentation:

Stampin_up_spooky_cat_carolpaynestamps1

Or you can turn it so the holder is landscape! I love Katie's choice of the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. It makes the card look warm and cool at the same time!

Stampin_up_spooky_cat_carolpaynestamps2

Katie heat-embossed the owl with white powder for the "snowy owl" effect. She also added snowflakes and a branch cut with Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies. She used an easy masking technique: tearing a strip of paper to lay over the bottom of the Whisper White layer before sponging the rest with Marina Mist ink. This gives a "snowbank" effect.

Stampin_up_spooky_cat_carolpaynestamps3

Her final touch is a bit of white satin ribbon tied in a simple knot.

Hey there! A couple of weeks ago my team, the Yes, Mam! Stampers, gathered to have our annual Christmas Party. Everyone brought food, we exchanged gifts, and of course we stamped! I will be sharing what we stamped next week (Occasions and Sale-a-bration sneak peeks), but today I want to share with you Christmas creations by my sweet friend, Angie Lisk!

First, our gift exchange guidelines required either the gift to be made with Stampin' Up! or packaged using Stampin' Up! products.  Angie packaged up a set of fancy paper plates and Christmas napkins with a shiny bow and a simple tag she gussied up with a Hometown Greetings Edgelit.

She took a simple piece of Whisper White card stock and turned it into a winter scene with the edgelit and the Big Shot. A punched hole and a bit of white ribbon and voila!

Next, Angie gave every one of her sister Mams a bottle of Bath & Body Works lotion in packaging she created herself!

Created with Kraft card stock that is now retired, this box is sturdy!

Angie adhered a bit of Christmas Quilt Designer Paper to the front of the belly band, then added a greeting layer cut with a Stitched Shapes and Layering Circle Framelits. She added one of our Stitched Felt Embellishments (still available but retiring) to complete the simple homespun look.

I received a special gift from Angie, packaged in a gold foil Striped Treat Bag! A quick and simple packaging solution, Angie simply folded the top of this 4 3/4" x 7" bag over, and then added a Gold Library Clip and a tag created with the Merry Little Labels stamp set and Everyday Label Punch! The Gold Foil leaves were punched with the Leaf Punch from the Painted Harvest Bundle. Note: the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper and Merry Little Labels stamp set are retiring on January 2nd, but you can still order them in my Online store: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Inside the bag was the cutest little present! Angie had ordered a custom-engraved  Block D just for me with my name and the cutest little owl on it!

She also gave me a custom-engraved bone folder!
