Stampin’ Up! English Garden Gets the Blues!

Hey there! I know today is usually Sunday Swap day, but I tried to post this card a couple of nights ago while here in Salt Lake City but the complimentary 24 hour internet in our room went down and the post vanished.

We are headed home today. We've had a blast! The 2016/17 New Catalog IS FABULOUS!!!!! It's the best catalog ever and the event was the best I've ever attended, and I've been coming to conventions since 2004! I can start sharing tidbits with you in a couple of days!

My card today uses English Garden Designer Paper, Rose Garden Thinlets, and Watercolor Wishes stamps:

I have been hoarding a few packages of this paper, only using it whenever I have a card I really love! I pulled a few strands from a length of 1 1/4" White Jute Ribbon to tie around the card front. The threads are just the right amount of fuzzy!

The Night of Navy flowers in this print are gorgeous by themselves, but I wanted to add a touch of Rose Garden to them so I cut Tip Top Taupe with the smallest flower from the set and sponged on Night of Navy ink. I added a Night of Navy bloom punched with an Itty Bitty Accents punch, and topped them off with a pearl.

Inside I did a bit of sponging around the edges, stamped another sentiment from Watercolor Wishes, and added one more Rose Garden bloom.

Stampin’ Up! Balloon Celebration and Weekly Deals are Going Away!

Today's card is a simplified Balloon Celebration card I created for workshops later this month:

I love the patterns in the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, and the Balloon Celebration Bundle (stamp set & Balloon Bouquet Punch) made it a snap to create this card!

I punched the tiny sparkly white balloon with one of the Party Punch Pack punches, and added Clear Wink of Stella to a couple more balloons.

I embossed the inside white layer with the Confetti Textured Impressions folder and added sentiments included in the Balloon Celebration set. More Party Punch Pack punched balloons finish it off.

Stampin’ Up! Framed Butterfly!

Hey there! I just want to take a moment this morning to say God is GOOD! He's good all the time, no matter what is going on in my life, but we just received some great news about my husband's health. For a few weeks I have been under a cloud of worry because of a diagnosis of melanoma from a mole removed from his chin. He's a farmer and son of a farmer, so he had lots of sun exposure before it was widely known to use sunscreen. He had more incised a week and a half ago, and today he had the 10 stitches out and got a clear pathology report, which is why we are thanking God. The melanoma type was "insitu", which means it was limited to the top layer of skin, but the doctor told us there could still be a 2% chance that it could have moved deeper. He has to go back in three months and probably be checked regularly for a long time. We are thankful for God's provision and will be using sunscreen all the time from now on!

Today I have a cheery card for my April Online Class. I used Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, Butterflies Thinlets, and Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper:

Stampin’ Up! English Rose for April Online Class!

Hey there! I've been doing a lot of stamping this week, as well as cutting a lot of paper, prepping for classes later this month after I return from the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live in Salt Lake City next week! Today I have one card I've created for the April Online Class using English Garden Designer Paper, Rose Garden Framelits, and the Watercolor Wishes stamp set.

I've re-discovered my stash of English Garden designer paper, which retires on May 31st (and may disappear before then when the Retiring Stamps & Accessories List goes live on April 18!)

This card is really easy. After layering the two designs of English Garden on a 4 1/4" x 11" Tip Top Taupe folded card base, I sponged the edges with Tip To Taupe ink. I wrapped 20" of Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim around the front to tie in a bow. This lace is TO DIE FOR! If you don't have any of it, you NEED it! It's delicate, soft, and stretchy to make perfect bows! I wish we had this lace in more colors! I cut out a couple of Blushing Bride roses with my Rose Garden Thinlets, sponged on more Blushing Bride, then adhered with glue dots.

The greeting, stamped with Tip Top Taupe, is from Watercolor Wishes, a set you can only get when you order the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit.

Inside I used another sentiment from Watercolor Wishes and an edge of another Blushing Bride rose.

Stampin’ Up! A Beautiful Ride!

Hey there! I had a request for a Beautiful Ride card at a workshop this month. They fell in love with a card from my display, so I CASED myself! You can view the original card HERE.

My self-CASE:

I used the same layout as my original, but used all different colors and papers.

The Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper worked perfectly for a vintage look, and I used colors from the paper for the card base and layers; Basic Black and Lost Lagoon. I embossed the Lost Lagoon layers with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions folder. I added a punched flower from the Tree Builder Punch and a Cajun Craze Candy dot to the congrats banner cut with a Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets die.

After stamping the "bug" on the Hello Honey cross-hatch design, I added the flowers and "Love" with the same Archival black ink. I colored the tires with a Project Life Journaling Pen. I LOVE those pens! I added a Cajun Craze Candy Dot to the tire centers for a more color pop.

This set just works with the Z-fold. I punched clouds with the Tree Builder Punch from the opposite side of the same paper I stamped and cut out the "bug"from.

I stamped the sentiments directly on the Lost Lagoon layer before embossing with the Softly Falling folder. I lined the envelope with another Botanical Gardens design, cut with the Envelope Liner die.

Stampin’ Up! A Dozen Thoughts Butterflies!

Hey there! Today I have a simple card created with both sets of the butterflies framelits dies!

I used the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the white background, and created the banner with English Garden Designer Series Paper and the Banner Triple Punch.

I cut the Perfect Plum butterfly overlay with the medium Butterflies Thinlets Die with the largest Bold Butterfly Framelits for the Basic Black underlay. I adhered together with my Fine Tip Glue Pen, then adhered to the card with Glue Dots. White Perfect Accents complete the body center.

"just because" from A Dozen Thoughts is stamped with Perfect Plum and cut with a Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits Die. I traced around the outside of the same die on Perfect Plum, cutting with Paper Snips. After I adhered the layers together, I hand-trimmed the plum layer in half.

Inside I stamped "YOU'RE IN MY THOUGHTS" from A Dozen Thoughts on Whisper White, then cut with another Project Life Cards & Labels Framelit. A 1" wide strip of English Garden ties the inside and outside together.

I used the coordinating smallest butterflies from both sets of framelits to layer the inside butterfly, adding a single White Perfect Accent.
