Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Another Great Year!

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Another Great Year!

Hey there. I have another card to share with you today that I created a few weeks ago but just haven't had time to show you yet. I "think" today's card doesn't have a single retiring product on it, but let's check to make sure, shall we?

I embossed the greeting from Another Great Year (carrying over to the NEW 2014-2015 Catalog!) with White Stampin' Emboss Powder before applying the color to the Watercolor Paper.

Whoops! I DID use Midnight Muse ink and cardstock, which is retiring! =(  This color can be substituted with Night of Navy and would still blend well on the Watercolor Paper with the Pool Party and Baked brown Sugar. All colors were applied to wet Watercolor Paper with an AquaPainter dipped directly into ink refills.

As a final touch I splashed a few drops of water onto the paper and then allowed the water to just settle into the color.

Sponging around the edges of the inside and the outside pulls the color from the Midnight Muse layer into the creation.

That's all for now. Below is the listing of the products used for you to refer to as you are shopping in my Online Store HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Angel Paper!

Stampin’Up! Angel Paper!

This past Sunday my husband and I sang in our church choir's presentation of "The Offering", which included a drama that wove a heartfelt story in with the songs to enhance the melodies and lyrics' meaning. During practice it was mentioned that the girl in the story, Maggie, needed "angel paper" to wrap her present for the baby Jesus. The program director said she hadn't had time to find angel paper, so I volunteered to make some with my Stampin' Up! supplies, and here it is:

I used the stamp set, Rejoicing In You, to stamp the angels in Versamark on plain white tissue paper. I then sprinkled them with Gold embossing powder and heated with my Heat Tool. At first I was a bit worried about applying heat to the tissue, but while the Heat Tool DOES get really hot, it only took a quick pass over the powder to melt it and there was no danger of burning the paper!

I stamped one of the stars from the Merry Minis stamp set in the Holiday catalog in the same manner to fill in the space around the angels.

Maggie also needed a wrapped box for the play, so I wrapped one of our Kraft Boxes with the embossed paper.

Maggie's grandpa states that he thinks the "angel paper" might actually be birds, so these angels were perfect!

I LOVE it when I can use my Stampin' Up! supplies to enhance my "real life"!

Until next time, have a Stampingrox! day!

Sale-a-bration is Coming to a Close!

Sale-a-bration is Coming to a Close!

I know, It's sad but true. Only three more days left of Sale-a-bration, the best time of the Stampin' Up! year when every order of $50 or more qualifies for FREE stamps! Also, only three days left to join my "Yes, Ma'am's" Demonstrator Team at a 15% Discount and get a free product bundle worth $50!

Where have I been the past couple of weeks? Meeting myself coming and going with Sale-a-bration Classes and Hostess Parties. We also had a big family weekend added in there with some of my husband's family in from Tennessee for a couple of days! We hosted the "family feed" at our house on the Sunday dinner of that weekend with over 30 people crammed together, but my daughters and my dear Sister-in-laws all pulled together and made it happen. It was an amazingly smooth and enjoyable day!

Just one more SAB party tomorrow night, then I move on to prep for my April Punch Class and "Days to Remember" Calendar Class this weekend!

April has an amazing hostess and customer special, (see my previous post), so if you want to get in on that as an April hostess, contact me and we will fit you in my calendar somewhere!

Here's a couple of projects from the past couple of weeks:

A candles

The above card uses the Clear Scallop Square Die for the base. Ice Cream Parlor Designer Paper and Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Buttons are all still FREE with a $50 order until Midnight, Thursday, March 31st! The candle flames are one of the Blossom Petals Punch petals, spritzed with Vanilla Smooch Spritz!

**Notice anything different about the "birthday" letters? They are heat embossed with White Embossing powder, but after the embossing cooled we "colored" inside the letters with the Versamarker! The Versamarker makes the Pacific Point cardstock underneath just a little bit "more" and makes it pop!

One of my Harrisburg groups likes to do Techniques, so this month we did "Embedded Embossing"!

That's all for tonight, I'm heading to bed!

Hope you had a "Stampingrox!" day!
