Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship!

Hey there! Today I have a Thinking of You double z-fold I created with the Beauty of Friendship bundle!

The card base measures 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". The 1" x 11" z-fold arm is scored the same, but flipped opposite the card base folds to adhere.

I used Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper for the background layers of each panel, adding a die-cut sentiment and trees. Gilded Gems add the finishing touches. I punched a row of pines with the Evergreen Border Punch.

Stampin’ Up! Give It A Whirl Mario!

Hey there! Yesterday was our family's "August Birthdays" celebration, so I can finally show you the card I made for Liam's 9th birthday:

I combined the Give It A Whirl Dies, Hat's Off Bundle, Playful Alphabet, and Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder to create this special birthday card. Liam is crazy about everything Mario, so I tried to give this card a "Marion look", right down to the yellow buttons on his jumpsuit!

My grandkids are always excited to receive one of my cards, this one did not disappoint!

Inside I used a phrase from the Happiest Birthday stamp set.

I had fun making this one! I even inked the inside of the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder with Pacific Point ink before I inserted the Pacific Point card stock. I embossed after I had cut the layer with the Give It A Whirl dies.

It's so much fun to be able to customize birthday cards for each grand kid!

Stampin’ Up! Interlocking Gatefold with Nature’s Harvest!

Hey there! I'm still playing with the Nature's Harvest bundle. There are so many possibilities with this suite of products!

For today's card I created an interlocking gate-fold card. I started with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" layer of Soft Succulent card stock, scored and folded at 2 1/8" from the left short end (portrait). I then folded the opposite end to meet the first fold in the middle. This created two flaps for the front.

I attached two pieces of Harvest Meadow designer 5 1/4" x 1 7/8".

For the interlocking flaps (cross-wise) I cut two pieces of Soft Succulent 4" x 2 1/4". I added a piece of coordinating Harvest Meadow designer paper cut 2" x 3 3/4" to each flap. I then adhered the flaps, one on each side of the of the card.

The greeting is from Nature's Harvest, stamped with Soft Succulent and cut with a Harvest die. I added a Harvest die cut of Soft Succulent behind it, along with a Gilded Gem.

After stamping the cone flowers on Basic White and cutting out with a Layering Circle die, I colored the cones with Bumblebee and Cajun Craze ink using a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I squeezed the inkpad lid to the pad while it was closed to create a pool of ink in the lid, then dipped the tip of the Wink of Stella in the ink to color. I used the same technique to color the stems and leaves with Soft Succulent. The ink cleans off the tip of the brush with just a few swipes on my scratch paper! I adhered the flower circle to a slightly larger scalloped Soft Succulent circle, then adhered to the bottom cross-panel with dimensionals. A couple more Gilded Gems and the front was complete!

Inside I used a sentiment from Elegantly Said, stamped in Soft Succulent, then breathed on the ink remaining on the coneflowers and stamped near the left corner.

This card was very easy but very fun to create!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Timeworn Type Embossed!

Hey there! I played with my Nature's Harvest bundle some more last night, so I have two cards to share with you today!

I love the die cuts you can make with the Harvest dies! I cut Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, and Crumb Cake ones to create these two cards, mixing up the card stocks with the dies. Fun!

I adhered three 4" x 1 5/8" strips of Harvest Meadow Designer to a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Crumb Cake and then embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder to create the background to adhere the die cuts with tiny dots of liquid glue and Mini Glue Dots.

I used the gorgeous 3/8" Diamond Weave Ribbon to tie around the stems. I heat embossed the "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" from Elegantly Said with gold powder before cutting out with a Harvest die. This die will fit quite an assortment of greetings from several different sets, not just Nature's Harvest!

Anniversaries are not just for marriages. I created this card to give to a couple who are celebrating a work anniversary!

For this card I simply used some of the die cuts I had created from different card stock.

I embossed the greeting on Crumb Cake this time. I used Gilded Gems on both cards for a bit of shine.

This sentiment is from Elegantly Said. I embossed the Bumblebee layer under the sentiment layer on the inside for more texture and interest.

I could have stamped the penguin with the Penguin Place stamp set, but for speed I punched him directly from the Penguin Playmates Designer Paper with the Penguin Builder Punch. I then cut a background layer from another Penguin Playmates print with one of the Hippo & Friends Dies. I cut a slightly larger circle from a piece of Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper (another Sale-a-bration freebie with a $50 order) with a Layering Circle Die for the base of my ornament. I stamped a toboggan hat with Midnight Muse ink then hand-cut with my Paper Snips. After adhering with a mini glue dot, I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the hat for some shine. I also added a few Subtle Shimmer Sequins with tiny dots of liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Penguin Place with Misty Moonlight ink on a narrow strip of Basic White card stock, then cut it down shorter and narrower with my Paper Trimmer.

I cut the same size circle from the same striped paper as the front, but flipped it over for the back! All of the prints in the Penguin Place Designer Series Paper are so cute! I used a piece of gold Elegant Trim for the ornament hanger.
