Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette Flap Fold Wedding!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette Flap Fold Wedding!

Hey there! While I was creating my projects for the Petal Palette Stamp Class I made a few extras. The Flap Fold wedding card I'm sharing today is one of them!
Stampin_up_petal_palette_wedding_carolpaynestamps1

After embossing with one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions folders I sponged a bit of Sweet Sugarplum ink to make the design stand out.

Stampin_up_petal_palette_wedding_carolpaynestamps2

Silver heat-embossing makes the greeting and the inside sentiment pop!

 I love this "Flap Fold"!

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Hey there! I needed a card to match a belated wedding gift garnished with a fall spray from Hobby Lobby, so I used a You've Got This stamp to match the one in the spray!

Stampin_up_you've_got_this_carolpaynestamps1

This card previews a sneak peek of the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, available to order tomorrow, November 1st!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps2

I rubbed a Bermuda Bay ink pad on the negative side of the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before embossing a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. After embossing with the Big Shot, this gives the background a much richer look. I stamped the bloom from You've Got This with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Shimmery White card stock before coloring with Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. I added some Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to the center, Old Olive to the leaves and stem, and used the Stampin' Color Lifter to blend and soften the colors. Stampin' Blends make you look like a pro without the problems!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps3

This present is for a couple who were married in July (we weren't able to attend the wedding), so I used this elegant greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the Classic Label Punch. Anytime during your first year of marriage you are a newlywed, right?

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

I used 1/4" Copper Trim for my embellishment (shown here on an experimental card with Fun Foam) The Copper Trim is pretty tied in a neat bow, but it becomes gorgeous when you pull the fibers apart!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

When you stretch the fibers you end up with this unique and fancy bow! I love it!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used a sentiment from the Rose Wonder set. Again, this sentiment is appropriate for a wedding gift any time in the first year, or even an anniversary!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

I colored the inside bloom with my Stampin' Blends markers. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get to pre-order new products to play with them before customers can order them. We've had alcohol markers before, but there were manufacturing problems that necessitated a recall. After playing with them a bit, I think they've got all of the kinks worked out and I love them!

Stampin’ Up! Going to the Chapel!

Stampin’ Up! Going to the Chapel!

Hey there! Last Saturday I attended the wedding of a dear friend's daughter from my church. I created this wedding card with the In the City Host set. I used Shimmery White card stock for the base, then added stamped and punched images for a whimsical-but-elegant look!

Stampin_up_in_the_city_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the church from In the City with Crumb Cake ink, then colored with the fine tip of a Blushing Bride marker. I punched with the 1 3/4" Circle punch, then layered it on Blushing Bride punched with the new Starburst punch. I added a Crumb Cake tree punched with the Tree Builder Punch, with blossoms punched from Blushing Bride with the same punch. The tiniest Pearl Basic Jewels adorn the centers.

Stampin_up_in_the_city_carolpaynestamps2

After stamping the greeting with Crumb Cake, I added one more pearl adorned blossom.

Stampin_up_in_the_city_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I used a sentiment from Special Celebrations. I just love this new set! I know I'm going to be reaching for it a lot this year.

Stampin’ Up! Falling In Love Dragonflies!

Stampin’ Up! Falling In Love Dragonflies!

Hey there stamping friends! Today I have one more creation with the Dragonfly Dreams Thinlets and then I'm done! Tomorrow's Sunday Swap Day will have a couple of Dragonfly Dreams cards, but after that I will be sharing a different creation theme with you!

Today's card uses the sold out Falling In Love Designer Paper, as well as the retiring Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and So In Love stamp set.

Stampin_up_so_in_love_dragonfly_dreams_carolpaynestamps1

I love this fold. It's so easy but works great to blend the card front with the inside! You start with a standard 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base, scored and folded at 4 1/4", then score 1 1/4" from one end and fold back. I put dimensionals under the fold to secure to the card front. I carefully peeled the backing from the glimmer paper before cutting with the Detailed Dragonfly thinlets. I adhered them to the front fold with a glue dot under each dragonfly body.

Stampin_up_so_in_love_dragonfly_dreams_carolpaynestamps2

I hand-cut the Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride Glimmer banners with Paper Snips. I adhered the greeting banner to the glimmer banner with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin_up_so_in_love_dragonfly_dreams_carolpaynestamps3

A very impressive anniversary card!

Stampin’ Up! Rose Garden by Donna!

Stampin’ Up! Rose Garden by Donna!

Hey there! Today is my oldest son's birthday! Happy Birthday Troy!

Last night I had my monthly workshop at Donna's house and she shared with me a wedding card she created. It was so gorgeous I asked for permission to share it with you today!

Stampin_up_rose_garden_thinlets_carolpaynestamps

The bride's wedding colors are Pool Party, Mint Macaron, and Blushing Bride, with a vintage-y newsprint look too. Donna started with retired Stampin' Up! designer paper on her card base, then cut the rose and leaf outlines from Champagne Glimmer Paper, which is also retired, but could easily be cut from current Gold Glimmer.

She cut out the large rose from Blushing Bride card stock, then lifted out the petals to add back into the glittery outline that she had adhered to a solid base. She filled in the small rose with Pool Party pieces and the leaves with Mint Macaron.

It's a gorgeous card, even prettier in real life. Photography can never do it justice!

Here's a short supply list should you need to go shopping in my online store: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

Stampin’ Up! Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Wedding Card!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Wedding Card!

Hey there!

Project Life card collections contain 100 cards in three sizes, perfect for scrapbooking or cardmaking. With two of each double-sided design you can have double the fun! The Hello Lovely card I used today was 4"x 6", so I cut 3/8" off each end to fit the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Soft Suede card front with a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" Soft Sky layer in between.

Stampin_up_hello_lovely_project_life_carolpaynestamps1

A Floral Phrases sentiment was stamped in the center of the flower wreath with Soft Suede.

Stampin_up_hello_lovely_project_life_carolpaynestamps2

I trimmed 5/8" Burlap Ribbon into a 3-strand length to wrap around the card front, then tied the remaining 2-strands in a bow. Tiny pearls are the only other embellishment.

Stampin_up_floral_phrases_carolpaynestamps1

Another Floral Phrases sentiment and a few flowers from In the Meadow, inked with Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Soft Sky markers.
