Stampin’ Up! Going Global for Mark!

Stampin’ Up! Going Global for Mark!

Hey there!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for February. This month our theme is One for the Boys. We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see!
GV Blog Header
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps – or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
My husband's birthday is Friday, so I decided the hop theme was the perfect time to make his birthday card. I decided to use the Going Global set from the Occasions Catalog again, incorporating it with the Sunburst Thinlet Die and Gold Foil Sheets. (Don't worry, he NEVER looks at my blog, so I'm not spoiling his birthday surprise)

He does mean the world to me and he's been my best friend for over 40 years. We dated three years before we were married, so actually we've been best friends for over 41 years! Wow! That should make me feel old, but all it really does it make me feel happy and blessed!
Stampin_up_going_global_2_carolpaynestamps - Copy
I used all of the images in the Going Global set, except for the "world's best dad", and the only reason I didn't use it is because this isn't a Father's Day card! lol!
All of the supplies I used today are available to order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Carol Payne, so check the blog hop line up list  below to see who is next in the list!

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Inspired By Project Life!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Inspired By Project Life!

GV Blog Header

Hey there and welcome to the October Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop! This month's theme is "Inspired by Project Life".  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects shared here by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from across the globe!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
It just happened that my project for today is one I created for a sweet couple at my church having their first baby, a boy named Carson. They are a farm family, very into John Deere tractors, so I created the gift packaging, and a large portion of the gift, with a "John Deere Green" theme!
Stampin_up_project_life_baby_boy_1
I used punch art for the tractor on the gift bag, 50+ thank-you notes, and the Kraft 6"x8" Project Life Album!
Stampin_up_project_life_3
Every new mother needs thank-you notes! I kept these simple so I could make a bunch! The "ground" is a 1/4" wide strip of Kraft 12" x 12" Corrugated Paper that I added to the bottom of the Whisper White Note Cards.
Here's tutorial to make the tractor. Click to download:

I translated the tiny tractor into a larger size for the gift bag and the album cover. I cut Carson's name with Big Shot Little Letters Thinlets.

This new mommy also teaches 4th grade so I knew she wouldn't have time to attempt "traditional" scrap booking, but I gave her a Project Life Album all ready to go, and she is eager to give it a try!
I included:
139655SKraft 6" x 8" Project Life Album # 139655 $10.00
135297S 6" x 8" Variety Pack Project Life Photo Pocket Pages #135297 $6.00
135874S6" x 8" Project Life Envelope Pages #135874 $5.00
138457SHello Baby Boy Card Collection #138457 $16.00
138458SHello Baby Accessory Pack #138458 $10.00
I also included a pack of  Project Life 3" x 4" Grid Cards #136528 $3.50 and Project Life Journaling Pens #135304 $5.00.
Carson's mommy is SO EXCITED to give Project Life a try! I refer to it as "scrap booking with baseball cards", it's that easy!
There are several themes of Project Life cards and accessories available from Stampin' Up! Check them out and order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Remember to Give Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Remember to Give Thanks!

GV_Blog_Hop_Banner_04
Hey there and welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for September. The theme for the hop this month is Remember to Give Thanks!

You may be starting from here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

For my contribution to the hop this month, I decided to use a tried and true technique that works perfectly with the thankful theme, Faux Silk!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_1 - Copy

I stamped Vintage Leaves with Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow on plain tissue paper then crumpled it in my hand. After I opened the tissue and partially smoothed it, I covered a Very Vanilla layer with Stampin' Glue Stick and adhered the tissue to it, smoothing the tissue but still leaving a few wrinkles to give it more of a "slubbed silk" look.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_3 - Copy

I wrapped the edges of the tissue around to the back side of the vanilla layer and adhered with SNAIL, then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

After I stamped the "thankful" greeting with Chocolate Chip and cut banner points with my Paper Snips, I sponged the acorn element with Chocolate Chip before adding with a glue dot. After I smushed the wooden leaves directly onto the ink pad I realized I could use them to "stamp" over the greeting, then adding with glue dots.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_2 - Copy - Copy

An Early Espresso 1/2" Seam Binding bow finishes off the front.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_4 - Copy

Inside I used a sentiment from Lighthearted Leaves, which coordinates perfectly with today's "Remember to Give Thanks" theme.

To order supplies used today, you can find them all in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Holiday Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Holiday Sneak Peek!

GV_Blog_Hop_Banner_04

Hey there and welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for August 2015. The theme for the hop this month is Holiday Sneak Peek and we're all excited to share projects using new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!

You may be starting here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me (which right now means you will want to go up to the top of the list and work your way back down to me) to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

My creation for the hop features Flurry of Wishes Stamps and Snow Flurry Punch Bundle on page 25 of the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_1 - Copy

I heat embossed the snowflake with white powder on Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper has a "sheen" that photographs as haziness around the embossed snowflake. The tiny snowflakes are in the paper's design. I added a single rhinestone to the center for more sparkle.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_2 - CopyHeat Embossing Tip: Winter Wonderland paper has A LOT of static, so using the Embossing Buddy is a MUST before stamping and heat embossing to prevent powder scatter!

I punched Silver Foil paper with the Snow Flurry Punch, using the smaller of the two snowflakes included in the punch. I added a Winter Wonderland Embellishment to the center with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_3 - CopyThe greeting from Flurry of Wishes is heat embossed on Basic Black and cut with a Deco Label Framelit. I cut a same-size Deco Label from Silver Foil  to mat behind.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_4 - Copy

Another glamorous addition to this card is the White 3/8" Glitter Ribbon. This ribbon is much more sparkly in real life, and is packaged with a roll of Gold 3/8" Glitter Ribbon.
Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_5 - Copy
Inside I stamped more Flurry of Wishes with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, adding a single rhinestone to the snowflake center.
