Hey there! I'm still struggling a bit with technology (still lots of passwords to re-establish, as well as printer connections, etc), and now my washing machine is broken. I've called the repair people. They hope to be able to send someone to me tomorrow. Until then I took several loads to Kimberly's today to run through her washer while I babysit. She is a lifesaver!

Today I'm still sharing more projects we saw demonstrated and displayed at Vacation Stamping School. There were two sessions where we could watch demonstrators "demonstrate" how they made a project, fun fold, or technique. Laura Borchert demonstrated how to make a shutter card and also had several samples to see.

Her first sample used the Fresh Florals Designer Paper and the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set:

The fun part is when you open the card to reveal the opening shutter:

Coffee Cafe' and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. I love the sponged "coffee" on the cup front!

With Daisy Delight and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Laura created a "bellyband" to keep this card closed.

Finally, Laura used Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Star of Light stamps for a gorgeous Christmas shutter card:

She used Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon to create the bellyband instead of card stock.

Hey there! I'm going to quickly post the swap cards for today. We've been gone on our trip for the past week, returned home Friday afternoon and yesterday morning I left at 5:20 a.m. to attend a stamping training meeting with my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers. My head hit the pillow pretty early last night, and I have some serious catch-up to do from being gone! I'm in the nursery at church this morning too! My life is hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

To start off our swap day, Audra Moncur created her lovely card with the Grown with Love bundle and Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper:

Hey there! The new 2017-2019 In Colors are my favorite group of new colors EVER! Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide look great together and with so many of our core colors too!

One of the Make & Takes at my New Catalog Open House next week will be one of these cards. The colors across the top starting on the left: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink. The two bottom colors starting on the left are Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist!

I had to choose ONE color to cut enough paper for the Make & Take, so I decided to go with the Berry Burst version. We will be using all four patterns in the stack!

We will be cutting Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the new Happy Birthday Thinlet, but before cutting we will adhere a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the backside of the glimmer paper to make adhering to the card a snap!

We will mount the greeting on a Berry Burst Layering Oval embossed with the new Oh My Stars Textured Impressions folder, layered over a piece of  Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon.

The crowning touch of the card is the Berry Burst  2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bow! These bows are ALREADY TIED FOR YOU! Even better, they come with a tiny round dimensional already attached, ready to adhere to your project! You've GOT TO HAVE THEM!
