Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day August 13!

Hey there! I'm going to quickly post the swap cards for today. We've been gone on our trip for the past week, returned home Friday afternoon and yesterday morning I left at 5:20 a.m. to attend a stamping training meeting with my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers. My head hit the pillow pretty early last night, and I have some serious catch-up to do from being gone! I'm in the nursery at church this morning too! My life is hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

To start off our swap day, Audra Moncur created her lovely card with the Grown with Love bundle and Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper:

Next, Sharon Tong-Robinson used the Orange Blossom set:

Cynthia McQueen used Fresh Florals Designer Paper with Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Ribbon of Courage to create a Shutter Card:

Remove the belly band and open the card to see the shutter open!

Rhonda Bassler created a Gatefold card with the Orange Blossom set and Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper:

Jan Rodrain used Crafting Forever, the Marbled background stamp, and Touches of Texture to create her swap:

Finally, , Natalie Woll used Embossing Paste with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Palette Knives to create the background fr her Watts of Occasions birthday card:

I am so glad I swap with these girls every month! I get so much inspiration and have all of these fun ideas to share!

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pattern Crafting Forever!

Hey there! I didn't expect to make another card with Crafting Forever so soon, but I had another idea brewing, so I pulled out the Pick a Pattern Designer Paper to make this:

I used Just Add Text for my greeting; implementing the "tear & flip" technique to show both sides of a piece of designer paper on the front. I added an In Color Glitter Acrylic Shape for a splash of Emerald Envy color, adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Inside I was inspired by Beth Rush to cut another Pick a Pattern design into paper dolls to adhere with a glue dot on the outer hands.

Perfect phrase to go with the theme!

Stampin’ Up! Crafting Forever!

Hey there! I played this morning with the Crafting Forever set!

I used Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper with Pool Party, Basic Black, and Whisper White.

I used Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon, Label Me Pretty and the Pretty label Punch. I hand-cut the scissors to add with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.

This card is going to a good friend having surgery this week.

I colored the brush cup with my Blender Pen and ink squeezed onto the inkpad lid, then colored the brushes with markers.

I colored the second version completely with the Blender Pen and inks: Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, and Basic Black, squeezed onto the pad lids. This gives a softer look and lets more of the stamped detail show. I added a little shadowing with Pool Party ink applied with the Blender Pen.

I'm not an accomplished watercolorist, but Blender Pens help me look like one!

Stampin’ Up! Crafting Forever!
