Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day October 22nd!

Hey there! It's time for Sunday Swap Day! yay! Today's swaps are all about Christmas! Double yay!

This first "shutter card" was expertly created by Mary Lang! Mary combined the Carols of Christmas set with Nature Sings and Christmas Pines, pulling it all together with traditional Christmas colors of Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, and Old Olive!

In my enthusiasm to add my watermark to these cards I apparently added it twice to this one! The Lantern Builder Thinlets and Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper make this card a winner! Christmas Around the World DSP is part of the B3G1F Designer Series Paper Sale that ends October 31!

This card was created with the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies, Embossing Paste, Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Gold Glimmer Paper, and Quilted Christmas 1/4" Ribbon!

Merry Mistletoe and the Be Merry Designer Series Paper are the stars of this card! A Garden Green background embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder perfectly sets off the rest of the card, as does the Whisper White strip punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch!

Tags & Trimmings and the Trim Your Stocking thinlets were used to create this adorable stocking card. Gold embossing of the snowflakes on the vellum complements the Gold Glimmer Snowflake and ties in perfectly with the Mini Gold Sequin Trim used for the stocking hanger!

Finally, it doesn't have to be a Christmas set to make a great card! Watts of Occasions includes elements for Christmas, as well as thanks, sorry, love you, and other encouraging phrases, making it a very versatile set!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day August 13!

Hey there! I'm going to quickly post the swap cards for today. We've been gone on our trip for the past week, returned home Friday afternoon and yesterday morning I left at 5:20 a.m. to attend a stamping training meeting with my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers. My head hit the pillow pretty early last night, and I have some serious catch-up to do from being gone! I'm in the nursery at church this morning too! My life is hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

To start off our swap day, Audra Moncur created her lovely card with the Grown with Love bundle and Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper:

Remove the belly band and open the card to see the shutter open!

Rhonda Bassler created a Gatefold card with the Orange Blossom set and Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper:

Jan Rodrain used Crafting Forever, the Marbled background stamp, and Touches of Texture to create her swap:

Stampin’ Up! Christmas in July!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards you've seen before, but I'm pairing them together because they are two of the cards you can make at my Christmas in July Class next week!

We will be making 8 different cards, one of each, starting with these two, created with the Watts of Occasions and Merry Mistletoe stamp sets!

The Watts of Occasions card will be pretty quick and easy, with the Holly Textured Impressions folder for the background and Stampin' Write Markers to do the inking!

The Merry Mistletoe card also uses the Holly Textured Impressions folder for the background, but it's a different look in Garden Green! Be Merry Designer Paper, Regals Enamel Shapes, and Stitched and Layering Squares framelits will make this another easy card!

I'm going to get off here quick today so I can work up another card for class!

Christmas in July Class Details:

Thursday, July 13th, 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 14^th 1-4 p.m and 6-9 p.m. Saturday, July 15^th, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Stampin’ Up! Watts of Occasions!

Hey there! We've had Oakley and Lando with us since yesterday morning while their parents took a short trip for their anniversary. We've had picnics outside, Oakley rode in the big-rig sprayer with Papa, and we took a fun "hike" last night just as the sun was going down. Fun times making memories!

Today's card was created with the new Watts of Occasions set. It has five different light bulbs and 5 separate greetings, so it's unique AND versatile! I used the Christmas tree bulb and greeting for my first card with this set:

The Whisper White background layer is embossed with the Holly folder, and I used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin' Write markers to color the components of the bulb and the greeting. I added a silver Metallic Enamel Shape star to the top of the tree.

I love, love, LOVE the Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon!

I don't think we send enough thank-you's for Christmas gifts, so I used my Stampin' Write Markers again to add a sentiment from One Big Meaning. I stamped the bulb again in the lower left corner, making it look a bit like a snow globe!

I'm planning a Christmas in July class next month. I'm thinking this card may just be included in the class!
