Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye Baby Wipe Technique!

Hey there! When I was playing with the Apple of My Eye and That Thing You Did stamp sets, I decided to try the baby wipe technique with the citrus stamp:

If you aren't familiar with the baby wipe technique, here's a quick little description:

Fold a baby wipe into an ink pad shape on a non-porous surface, like a disposable plastic plate. (I use an inexpensive baby wipe that doesn't have much of a design embossed on it)
Using an ink pad reinker, put drops of ink directly on the baby wipe. For my card today I started with drops of Daffodil Delight. I spaced the drops apart so as they reacted with the moisture in the baby wipe they would bleed toward each other.
Add drops of other colors in between and around the first ink drops, allowing the colors to bleed into each other. For my card I used Tangerine Tango for my second color.
Use this "custom" inkpad to ink your stamp.

I used my Circles Collection Framelits to cut the citus shapes. I hand-cut the banner ends with my Paper Snips.

Sentiments from That Thing You Did and a Gold Glimmer star punched with an Itty Bitty Accents Punch are the finishing touches!

This card easily fits into a Medium Whisper White envelope!

I combined Balloon Celebration, Big News, and the Party Pants Sale-a-bration set with "Ombre Stamping" to create this card we will be making this weekend at my #imbringingbirthdaysback Stamp-a-Stack!

Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, and Basic Black provide the sharp contrasts needed to make this card a winner!

Inside there's just a bit more ombre stamping and a sentiment from Fabulous Four.

Stampin’ Up! No Bones About It for #Imbringingbirthdaysback!

Hey there! Today I have a perfect little boy (or big boy!) card we will be making at my #imbringingbirthdaysback Stamp-a-Stack this weekend using the No Bones About it stamp set! I had two weekdays in a row at home this week, so I had a lovely chance to work and play with my stamps! yay!

Stampin’ Up! That Thing You Did Again for Bringing Birthdays Back!

Hey there! We had a really big weekend celebrating Mark's birthday! It wore me out, but it was a good tired! I took yesterday to finish the samples for my #imbringingbirthdaysback Stamp-a-Stack this coming weekend. Today's card is another one will be making using the That Thing You Did and Botanical Blooms sets:

This a a simple, flat card that will be super easy to mail! All of the stamping on the front is done inside the negative area cut in a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of scrap paper. I applied 2-way glue to the back of the scrap and let it air dry so it would stay in place with Post-it Note tackiness, but is also easy to remove.

I used the Botanical Blooms set with a greeting from "That Thing You Did" on the front and a sentiment from the Sale-a-bration set, "Hello" (which is still available to choose as your freebie with a $50 order).

Stampin’ Up! Number of Years for Bringing Birthdays Back!

Hey there! Today I have another card for you that we will be making at my Bringing Birthdays Back birthday card class in a couple of weeks! I wanted to use the Number of Years set because I actually clapped my hands when I saw it in the Occasions Catalog. I've been dying for a large set of numbers with framelits to cut them out, and this set is perfect!

The flower bunch is included in the Number of Years set, which I stamped on a piece of Typeset Designer Paper before adhering to the Pool Party layer punched with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.

After embossing the Crumb Cake layer with the Large Polka Dot folder, I brushed the edge of my White Craft pad over the raised dots to give a little soft color. I also added a bit of glitter Washi Tape from the Sale-a-bration brochure. I cut a 2" piece into thirds and sponged lightly with Pool Party ink before adding to the bottom of the tag to balance the 3/8" Pool Party Glitter Ribbon on the top.

I found my "happy birthday" greeting and inside sentiment from Happy Happenings.

It is easy to achieve exact placement when stamping the flowers and the separate leaves with Photopolymer stamps!

This card is another one we will be making at my "Bringing Birthdays Back" Stamp-a-Stack at my house on March 4th and 5th!

Stampin’ Up! Going Global for Mark!

My husband's birthday is Friday, so I decided the hop theme was the perfect time to make his birthday card. I decided to use the Going Global set from the Occasions Catalog again, incorporating it with the Sunburst Thinlet Die and Gold Foil Sheets. (Don't worry, he NEVER looks at my blog, so I'm not spoiling his birthday surprise)
