Stampin’ Up! Carousel Birthday Goes Around and Around!

Stampin’ Up! Carousel Birthday Goes Around and Around!

Hey there! The Ferris wheel in the Carousel Birthday set cried out to spin!

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps1

I cut out wheel with a Layering Circle Framelit, then used a tiny brad to adhere to the card front and spin!

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the cupcake bottom on Early Espresso, then cut with an Up & Away Thinlet. The Bermuda Bay cupcake frosting was also cut with another Up & Away Thinlet. Although no dies coordinate with Carousel Birthday, it's nice that two of the Up & Away thinlets do!

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps3

I added frosting with a Fine Tip Glue Pen, sprinkling with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps4

This sentiment coordinates perfectly with the Ferris Wheel!

I pierced the center with my paper-piercing tool, then pierced the center of a  1 1/4" circle.

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps7

I put the brad "legs" through both holes, then adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The dimensionals allow the Ferris wheel to spin!

Stampin_up_carousel_birthday_carolpaynestamps9

It's so easy to create a card with this set!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! This is a late post today. After church and Sunday dinner, grandson #3, Oakley, asked me to take him outside to play. It's a beautiful, crispy fall day, so I was happy to oblige! Now that we are back and he has went down for his nap, I finally have a few minutes to blog. Today I have some really cute Christmas swaps to share with you!

First, Tamie Ackerson used the To You & Yours Too set for her swap. This set coordinates with the To You & Yours Shaker Cards Project Kit:

Stampin_up_to_you_and_yours_too_1

I love her addition of sequins to the Charlie Brown-like tree!

Stampin_up_to_you_and_yours_too_2

Next, Sharon Tong-Robinson used the Jingle All the Way/Sleigh Ride Edgelits Bundle for her swap. LOVE those edgelits!

Stampin_up_jingle_all_the_way_1

Kathy Johnson used the Snow Place stamps/Snow Friends Framelits Bundle for her card. Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, & Whisper White is a great color combo for this card!

Stampin_up_snow_place_2

Dena Tarkowski also used the Snow Place/Snow Friends Bundle, with a White Craft ink-sponged Woodland Textured Impressions Folder background.

Stampin_up_snow_place_1

Ruth Anne Lilley created a Flap Fold card with Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper, Cozy Christmas, and A Little Something:

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_3

This card is always fun to open, and would also make a great gift card  holder!

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_4

Finally, Ann Betty used Merry Moments Designer Series Paper, Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions folder, and Cozy Christmas for her pocket tag card!

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_1

She used the Scallop Tag Topper punch to create the double tag:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Awesomely Artistic on Sunday Night!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Awesomely Artistic on Sunday Night!

Hey there. This is a late post, but my computer is sick (again!) I'm on a laptop that's super-duper slow. It also needed about 129 updates, which ended up TAKING. ALL. DAY.

This evening I have a few cards from the mail-in swap I participate in every month, all using the Awesomely Artistic set!

First, Ann Betty stamped the dragonfly and flowers from Awesomely Artistic on Very Vanilla before embossing with the Brick Wall folder and cutting with a Tags & Labels Framelit. She stamped the same flowers on the Sahara Sand, then colored with a Pear Pizzazz marker.

Stampin_up_awesomely_artistic_1

Next, Jackie Ordway stamped the "texture" stamp down the left side to give a fabric look. The "thanks" is from the Another Thank You set.

Stampin_up_awesomely_artistic_2

Finally, Laura Milligan used Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, and Memento Tuxedo Black for her creation. Little snippets of White Organza and Bermuda Bay Sequins. OH. MY.

Stampin_up_awesomely_artistic_3

That's all for now. I WILL be posting again on Monday, so PLEASE COME BACK!

Here's one supply list for all three cards. You can order everything from my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’Up! All Abloom Herringbone!

Stampin’Up! All Abloom Herringbone!

Hey there. On the stage at Leadership, Shelli Gardner reminded us of a fun technique using Washi Tape called "herringbone". I had almost forgotten about it again until I found a herringbone example by Peggy Gilbert online today. I almost couldn't CASE her creation fast enough I was so in love with it!

Here's my version using the All Abloom Designer Paper Stack:

Stampin_up_all_abloom_1 - Copy

Believe it or not, I DID NOT CUT ANY OF THESE STRIPS to make this card! I had all of these strips in my scrap stash I keep with each designer paper pack! This card went together so fast, it took longer to decide which stamps to use than anything else! This technique is perfect for all of those little scrap/strips you just hate to throw away!

Mossy Meadow is the green color in this paper, so I used that color for my card base, and then used a bit of Mossy Meadow twine (from the new In Color Accessory Pack that is one of the new offerings as a free Sale-a-bration item this month) to glue-dot a  tiny bow on top of the Melon Mambo button from the Brights buttons pack.

Stampin_up_all_abloom_2 - Copy

Inside I did cut the four strips to edge the 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White layer because I needed 1/4" wide strips to leave room for the sentiment from the Simply Wonderful Sale-a-bration set.

That's it for today. I'm adding the supply list below to help you when you are shopping in my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

Stampin’Up! Sheltering Tree in Bloom!

Stampin’Up! Sheltering Tree in Bloom!

Hey there! I've been catching up on things around here since I got home from Kimberly's on Tuesday night. I had a class at the Cozy Table in Benton, IL yesterday afternoon, then Mark's birthday was yesterday, and I have a Stamp Camp in Marion, IL tonight. Busy, busy, busy finishing up February!

The card I have for you today was inspired by a Leadership swap from Alicia Graham:

Stampin_up_blushing_bride_sheltering_tree_1 - Copy

So girly and springlike! The blossoms on the tree are heat embossed with Blushing Bride embossing powder.

Stampin_up_blushing_bride_sheltering_tree_2 - Copy

I have an appointment in an hour, so I'd better get off of here and get ready! If I get a chance I will pop back in and post the supply list for this card, as well as my class hand out later today. If you can't wait, you can always shop on your own in my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

Until tomorrow, (or later) have have a Stampingrox! day!
