This card from the flyer has prompted alot of questions, so I made one:

Stampin_up_big_shot_stars_framelits_2 - Copy

I embossed the middle star from Bright & Beautiful with white embossing powder on Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, and Pool Party cardstock, then with Silver embossing powder on Whisper White. After cutting the stars into 3/4" wide diagonal strips, I put them back together to create one star and then inserted it through the opening I cut on the top layer with the same-size Star Framelit.

The Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Folder is a Sneak Peek from the Holiday Catalog too! It will be available to order starting August 28!

Stampin’ Up! Yee Haw!

Stampin’ Up! Yee Haw!

Hey there! Today is a busy day! I'm putting the finishing touches to my project for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop tomorrow, sewing at Alisa's house, and seeing my middle daughter Kimberly, for a little bit too because today is her birthday!

Stampin' Up! just released a new photopolymer set that I am really excited about, Yee Haw! This sample from Stampin' Up! says it all:

10437758_10152675791943487_4158099878692349723_n

Isn't it just the cutest? They used the Hardwood background, new Kraft cardstock for the banner, Itty Bitty Accents flower punch, a Tea Lace Doily, Gold Sequins, Encore Metallic ink, and a little strip of Typeset Specialty paper.

There are 25 fun "cowpoke" stamps in this set for $25.95! Photopolymers are CLEAR stamps, so you can see exactly where you are placing your image as you stamp!

Stampin’Up! Mixed Bunch with Blendabilities!

Stampin’Up! Mixed Bunch with Blendabilities!

Hey there! How's your week going? It's Wednesday, isn't it? I have a party tonight in Carbondale. Here's a card we will be making using Mixed Bunch, A Dozen Thoughts, Million & One, and Blendabilites markers:

Stampin_up_mixed_bunch_1 - Copy

I embossed two Mixed Bunch blooms with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock, colored one with a Pumpkin Pie Blendability, colored the other with a Cherry Cobbler Blendability, punched both with the Blossom punch, then layered them with a Glue Dot in the center.

I made a paper clay button with my Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Paper Clay & Molds. I colored the button with a Daffodil Delight Blendability marker, then attached to the flower center with Tombow glue.

IMG_6298 - Copy

Inside I stamped the Million & One sentiment with Memento ink and added a few blendability-colored flowers to coordinate with the card front:

Stampin_up_mixed_bunch_3 - Copy

That's it, pretty simple card. Paper clay buttons need about 24 hours to dry before using, but just a little forethought is all it takes to get a little pile ready for class!

Here's your shopping list for today:

Unti tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! World of Dreams Meets Work of Art!

Stampin’ Up! World of Dreams Meets Work of Art!

Hey there! It's Tuesday, so I will be posting the newest Weekly Deals from Stampin' Up! at the bottom of this post, but first here's a card I created last night for a workshop tomorrow using both Work of Art and World of Dreams:

Stampin_up_world_of_dreams_1

I love using the "swoosh" stamp from Work of Art as a background for images! It's a quick and easy way to add color. I stamped 5 times with the same inking of the stamp. I huffed my breath on the ink for the last three stampings.

I added a 1 inch strip from the All Abloom paper stack to pull the Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, and Whisper White colors together.

The greeting is punched with the Label Bracket Punch. I cut an Island Indigo Label Bracket in half cross-wise to "stretch" the mat behind the greeting.

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!
