Another Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Treat Gatefold Card!

Another Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Treat Gatefold Card!

I actually made 2 different cards for the swap I participated in. Here's the second one using pretty much all the same supplies, including the Blossom Punch, Perfectly Penned, and the Cheerful Treat Hostess Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Up! Blossom Punch and Cheerful Treat Hostess Designer Paper!

Happy Saturday Morning! I am ready for my first of two Punch/Technique Classes this week, but first I need to show you this fun card I made for a swap I participated in this week using the Blossom Punch and Cheerful Treat DSP!

Double punch gatefold 1©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

It's called a "Double Door" or "Gatefold" card. I found inspiration from Lyssa Zwolanek, then took the card to another level with several tweaks and changes!

Here's the really impressive part, when you open the card!

Double punch gatefold 2

Simply fab!  "Celebrate Today" is from "Perfectly Penned", the Whisper White flower center is from the "Blossom Party" Big Shot Originals Die, and the Glimmer Brad is Wild Wasabi from the Subtles Collection! The "latch" in the middle of the gate uses the "Word Window Punch", "friend" from "Fabulous Phrases", Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and Basic Jewel Rhinestones! I attached the latch with a couple of Mini Glue-dots!

See you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by! Until then, have a "Stampingrox!" Day

Stampin’ Up! Modern Label-Blossom Punch

Stampin’ Up! Modern Label-Blossom Punch

Good morning, stampers!

Here's another installment of one of my punch projects for this month's class, this time using the Blossom Punch and the Modern Label! I got my inspiration from Dawn Olchefske this time:

Modern label blossom 1

We are also using the "Chamomille" standard wheel from the Occasions Mini for the background. I love this combo of Very Vanilla, Pool Party, and Pear Pizzazz!

And the punch 6 x 6 page:

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Quilted Dazzling Diamond Dust!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Quilted Dazzling Diamond Dust!

Try sayin' that 5 times fast!

I'm getting ready for a workshop tonight, and yesterday evening, (after the taxes were done, yuck!) I started working on the projects for it! I wanted to use the SAB Designer Paper, "Everyday Enchantment", and I knew I wanted to use the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set, but after that I was pretty stumped. I went to Stampin' Connection, the exclusive, demo-only website Stampin' Up! provides for us (just ONE of the MANY great perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!) and typed in "Mixed Bunch". Several PAGES filled with thumbnails of great ideas came up. I found a card with this color scheme, using the "embedded embossing" technique to give the card it's quilted look, so I stated CASE-ing. (CASE-ing means to "Copy And Share Everything"!") I changed up a few things, such as adding the "Dazzling Diamond Dust" technique with the Big Shot Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, as well as adding the Word Window-punched sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes", and "Everyday Enchantment" Ribbon and Brad.

Can you see the glitter on the Blossom Punch-ed flower? I LOVE IT!

I also mounted the focal point on a Lucky Limeade mat layer and then a cardbase of Poppy Parade. I know the color in the DSP is supposed to be Calypso Coral, and I LOVE Calypso Coral, I actually prefer to use Poppy Parade with this paper. I think it just gives it all a little more "pop"!

Here's the inside of the card. I used an oldie-but-goodie, tried-and-true, go-to set, "Curvy Verses"! (Do you think I can come up with a few more cliches? If you can think of some more, leave me a comment with your suggestions and I will give away a few of these cards! Just leave me a comment between now and midnight, Sunday, March 4th and I will draw names to give 6 of these cards away!

Stampin’Up! OnBoard Art Journal & Creative Elements!!

Stampin’Up! OnBoard Art Journal & Creative Elements!!

Just wanted to share with you this Onboard Art Journal I decorated and gave to my downline who attended my Christmas Party this past year. It's a "create" journal for them to use to jot down ideas and inspirations for their business and pleasure stamping (which for me is one and the same!) The viney-flourish from the "Creative Elements" set and has been heat embossed with White Embossing Powder directly on the naked cover. The "create" words from the same set were white embossed on a Baja Breeze strip of cardstock and then Ticket Corner-punched on each corner. A Basic Jewel Pearl, a big strip of "Springtime Vintage" fabric tied into a pretty knot, and a flower punched with the "Blossom Punch"  and a Jumbo Pearl finish it off with flair!

Downline gift 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I used more stamps from the same set to embellish each page!

Downline gift 2©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I love how the fabric decorates the inside cover too! I just clipped the fabric fat quarter along the side the width I wanted my strip to be, then tore the fabric all the way across the piece! Tearing fabric can be a very satisfying, stress-reliever! Give it a try sometime!

That's all for now! Today is my last day to get my taxes finished! Until tomorrow, have a
"Stampingrox!" Day!

Project for the Yes, Ma’am’s!

Project for the Yes, Ma’am’s!

Good Monday Morning, Stampers!

Eight of my downline, the "Yes, Ma'am's!" met at my house yesterday afternoon for a time of stamping and sharing. To start off the stamping week right,  today I'm sharing with you the projects I prepared for them to make:

Beyond the Garden Quick Cards
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

The box (in the center) will hold the three cards with their matching envelopes and is VERY simple to make! I found the directions for the box on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website as part of the Online Extras for the January Stampin' Success, the monthly magazine for demonstrators. Stampin' Up! provides LOTS of ideas and inspiration for their demonstrators, all we have to do is use our monthly magazine for inspiration or go to the website for more instructions! Once I made one, I was inspired to make more!

Here's the first one I made, using our "Simply Scored Scoring Tool", which was almost an exact copy of  Stampin' Up!'s version:

Original box

©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

After I made this box, I started creating cards to fit in it. I knew I wanted to use the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set from the Occasions Mini along with the Blossom Punch. After I paired this set with "Beyond the Garden" Designer Paper, I had to create a different box to match it! Funny how sometimes what you think you are going to do turns into something completely different, isn't it?

I created a tutorial for this box and cards for my downline, so today I'm sharing it with you:

Download Mixed Bunch Quick Cards and Box

The tutorial includes a supply list of all the stamps, cardstock, ink, and accessories I used to create this project. If you need to order any of these supplies, and do not have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator of your own, you are welcome to go to my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website to order:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Feel free to use this as you wish, for your personal creations or if you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for your events. All I ask is that you do not sell it by itself online, please keep it free!

I hope to be back this afternoon with a Valentine version of this box! My "to do" list is pretty long, so we will see!

Until later, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
