Stampin’ Up! Cruise Swaps Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! Cruise Swaps Part 3!

Hey there! Busy, busy, busy! VBS every night, Liam is here again all day today, and prepping for my Birthday Card Buffet this Saturday! Whew!

I still have some awesome swaps to share with you from the cruise, so let's get to it!

Melissa Ellis used Timeless Talk for her swap. The stars and word bubble frame are from the new Project Life Point & Click set. Her color palette is Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.

Stampin_up_timeless_talk_1

I love the way she combined the 2 1/2" Circle Punch shapes with the Strawberry Slush Designer Paper, Perfect Polka Dots, and Arrows Textured Impressions Folders. That little bit of washi tape is from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack.

I am CASEing this card for my Birthday Card Buffet!

Here's your shopping list for My Online Store:

Lorri Heiling used the Fringe Scissors and Happy Hour to create her adorable little Tiki bar card. She even used the Hardwood Background to subtly add a wood finish to the top edge of the bar!

Stampin’ Up! a Couple of Birthday Cards!

Stampin’ Up! a Couple of Birthday Cards!

Hey there! I arrived home last night from Leadership in Houston, TX and am both exhilarated and exhausted! Can you relate?

I have tons of fun new stuff to show you but none of it has been edited or sized to fit on my blog. When I sat down with my laptop I find that my mouse is apparently wearing out and will barely right click, so I found a couple of birthday swaps that you haven’t seen yet but are still current:

Stampin_up_zoo_review_1

These little guys from Zoo Review are just adorable. The creator (sorry, I’ve lost the name) used the masking technique to stamp the penguin in the middle, covered him with a mask, then stamped the same penguin on either side of him. SO KAY-UTE! The “you can never have too much happy” from Yippee-Skippee! matches perfectly with this little group of guys!

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_1

My second offering for you today uses a riot of punches to create the happy little clown and the pennant banner! The “happy BIG day” from the Chalk Talk set has a bit of a “big top” feel to it, don’t you think?

Well, this is all I can manage today without my trusty mouse working properly! I have to run some errands today, so in addition to getting my teeth cleaned, buying a new phone (Instagram, here I come!), and getting groceries, I will be purchasing a new mouse!

Today is the last day for the current Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals. To shop for those click HERE.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Leadership Presentation!

Stampin’Up! Leadership Presentation!

Hey there! I've had an awesome day, the first day of the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference  in Houston, TX! It was my day to present at the Share Fair, and it was a blast!

Now, I know some of you are probably thinking, giving a presentation is a blast?!? But yes, it really was! It was also a bit nerve-wracking, of course, and my heart rate did go up, but overall it was an awesome experience, from the moment Emily Montoya called me to ask me to present back in November 2013 right up through today!

I was "wired for sound"!

Stampin_up_leadership_wired_for_sound_1

It was fun to see my name up on the big screen!

Stampin_up_leadership_presentation_4
I made sure I showed off my family!

Stampin_up_leadership_presentation_3

There was even a display board with my name and creations on it!

Stampin_up_leadership_presentation_1

I will be posting more details pictures of the projects in the near future! I used the "Yay for Cards" bundle from the Sale-a-bration 2014 brochure for my presentation. Be sure to ask me for a copy if you don't have a demonstrator of your own to receive one from! I would love to help you out!

I am grateful to Stampin' Up! for giving me the awesome opportunity to participate in their Leadership Conference! I stepped out of my comfort zone and learned so much!

There was also an Opening General Session today. We were privileged to hear Shelli Gardner, Co-founder of Stampin' Up!, speak. Her daughter, Sarah Douglas, gave a stamping presentation. During Sarah's presentation, she showed up some new products we will be getting in the next few months! We all flipped because:

drum roll, please . . .  .

1.We are getting Alcohol-based Markers! 12 sets of colors, three shades per pack of the same color, all for $11.95! I am so excited to get to try these! No date has actually been announced, but we were told we would see them by the end of the first quarter of 2014! I am also excited that these are in production in the U.S.! It makes me happy that Stampin' Up! is suporting jobs in the U.S.!

2. We are also getting a Memento black inkpad, which is compatible with the alcohol-based markers!

3. Photopolymer stamps are becoming part of the Annual Catalog in June 2014!

4. Photopolymer stamps will soon be manufactured at the Stampin' Up! stamp manufacturing plant in Kanab, Utah!

5. We will soon have a line of PERSONALIZED photopolymers! Yay!

Well, it 's getting late and we have a full day of Leadership Activities tomorrow!

Stampin’ Up! See Ya Later Post-It Notes Directions!

Stampin’ Up! See Ya Later Post-It Notes Directions!

Hey there! I'm posting from the lobby of the Hilton Americas in downtown Houston, TX! We arrived here a little after 6:30 p.m. after a thankfully uneventful plane ride. After taking a taxi (we were able to share the ride with our friends Elizabeth & Kim)  Linda and I enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner at a place called "Guadalajara" with them too! While we were waiting in the lobby of the hotel for Elizabeth & Kim, Pam Morgan from Stampin' Up! found us and gave us her recommendation to try out Guadalajara. She didn't steer us wrong!

On the way to the restaurant, we walked by this place and I just had take a picture of it for my son:

Bens beans 1

It was as I suspected, a coffe shop!

Bens beans 2

My Ben loves coffee, so here's to Ben!

Now on to the main reason for this post, my class hand-out for the See Ya Later Post-it Note holder we made at class last week!

Stampin’ Up! Another Great Year!

Stampin’ Up! Another Great Year!

Hey there! Some of my kids have gone home, some are still here, and tomorrow my nephew and his sweet wife are coming to visit! yay!

Today's project is another we will be making next week at the Stampin' in the New Year Stamp-a-Stack using a new Occasions Catalog set, Another Great Year:

Stampin_up_another_great_year_1

I'm really diggin' the Pool Party, Whisper White, and Real Red color combo! Bet you couldn't tell from the projects I've been showing lately, could you?

For this card I stamped the giant "happy birthday" first in Real Red on the Whisper White layer, cleaned the stamp, then stamped on Real Red cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool. I then cut out the "happy" and "to you" banner pieces so I could layer them over the Real Red stamped image to give it a bit of a "split negative" look.

I embossed the Pool Party layer with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Folder, which will be free with a $50 order beginning January 28th.

Silver Glimmer stars punched with the star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack finishes off this card with just the right amount of bling!

Stampin_up_another_great_year_2

I stamped the inside phrase, also from Another Great Year, with Real Red. I added a 1/2" strip of Fresh Prints Designer Paper stack to the bottom of the Whisper White layer to help tie the outside to the inside.

That's all for now! You can order the "Another Great Year" stamp set and the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack beginning January 3rd, but unti then you can check out the 25 new items added to the Clearance Rack today:

Stampin’ Up! Best of Love “Olive You”!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Love “Olive You”!

Happy Saturday to you! Sorry for the delay to day in getting my post up, I just let myself me a little lazy this morning!

Some of you are probably wondering about how my eye surgery went. It went well. No pain, just a little "poke" feeling. A little headache for awhile, but not migraine level. Eye a little "smeary", with some particles floating around, but most of it is gone already this morning. It took longer for the prep than the surgery itself!

They are pretty sure it was completely successful. My left eye pressure was 17 before the procedure, 14 fifteen minutes after. Just have some anti-inflammatory drops to put in it 3 times a day.

Having the right eye done next Friday. Checking on the status of the "Vitreal Membrane Detachment" (which was the eye event that started all of this in the first place) on March 18th. Hopefully if I don't get a tear in my retina by then I will be out of the woods.

We just never know what life is going to throw at us, do we? I'm taking the VMD as a blessing in disguise as they wouldn't have caught the "Narrow Angle Glaucoma" this early without it!

As promised, here's the final sample for the "Best of Love" class:
Olive you 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Who doesn't want a giant olive for their birthday??!!!

I used one of the Ovals Framelits Dies to make the olive card shape, then punched the pimento opening with the Extra Large Oval Punch. The greeting is from Henry Says, since it was still out on my stamping desk. It was the right size to fit in the Ticket Duo Punch!

Olive you 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

I cut a smaller Real Red Oval Framelit for the pimento layer on the inside (the Oval Framelits contain 7 sizes of ovals). I stamped the "olive you!" in Jet Black StazOn twice, on Whisper White and on Real Red, then cut out the Real Red one to pape-piece over the white layer. Why did I make my olive red on the inside, and not Lucky Limeade like the card base? I really have no idea, except it just seemed to me to make a nicer contrast with all the green!

That's it for today! I'm still working on taxes (they have taken a back seat this week with all of this eye stuff going on). I was much more inclined to partake of "stamping therapy" than taxes!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
