Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #4!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #4!

Good morning! How are you on this last Sunday of July? I ready to share with you a few more swaps! Without further ado, here we go!

This card was created with 2013-2015 In Colors Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Slush using the Sketched Birthday stamp set on page 13! Stampin' Up! gave everyone at Leadership in Orlando, FL this set, so I'm happy I have it!

Sketched birthday 1

The greeting is from the photopolymner stamp set, Bombs Away Birthday! This set is a go-to when I want a fun, irreverent, birthday greeting!

Sketched birthday 2

Next up is a card with the Tea Party stamp set (pg 35), Oval Collection Framelits, Beautifully Barouque Textured Impressions Folder, Tea Lace Doily, and Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Stretch Ruffled Ribbon!

Tea party 1

Close-up you can see the attention to detail of both Stampin' Up!'s stamp creation and the stamper's coloring of the image with Baked Brown Sugar and Marina Mist ink & a Blender Pen. The addition of the 4-Petal punched flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and the Basic Jewel Pearl give dimension and vintage style!

Tea party 2

Last-but-certainly-not-least, Susie Wood created this center easel card with the Kind & Cozy (page 82) and the Simply Stars (page 124) stamp sets! Don't worry about all of those Real Red punched stars, the Merry Minis Punch Pack is still available on the Holiday Carryover List! The "hello" is from the Four You stamp set on page 22!

Susie Wood

That's all for now! I will be back tomorrow with more fun creations to show you and will have more swaps to show you next Sunday!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Good Monday morning to you! I know you are going to find it hard to believe, but there is still NO baby Oakley yet! I can't stand it! But things are looking up! At her appointment last Wednesday, her doctor said if she didn't have him on her own by today they will put her in the hospital tonight and get things started! Whew! Hopefully that means we will have him here before Wednesday!

With that in mind, I'm going to get some posts ready to auto-post so you will have something to see for the next few days (or week) while I am busy being grammie!

Speaking of being grammie, this weekend I had the chance to do just that with Liam. Liam's mommy, Kimberly, came down with the nasty tummy bug I had last weekend, and so I brought him home to stay with me on Saturday through Sunday afternoon. He was here for my "SWOW/Christmas Card" Classes, and charmed everyone, to say the least! Liam has always been my little buddy, I am looking forward to spending more time with him starting in August when his mommy goes back to work teaching school!

Today's card is one of the Christmas cards we made Saturday. This one uses the Tag It! Ronald McDonald House Charity set. I always make sure I purchase and use the set Stampin' Up! creates for this purpose each year because Stampin' Up! donates $3 from the sale of each set to the RMDH Charity. We have friends who lived at the Ronald McDonald House in St Louis when their little girl was born extremely prematurely, so this charity is  near and dear to my heart!

Inside a verse from More Merry Messages and snowflake-y stamp from A Round Array!

Tag it 6

We cut the Tea Lace Doily in to four pieces, then pleat/gathered each piece as shown and attached to the back of the focal image with a Glue Dot and SNAIL adhesive.

Did you know the Tea Lace Do
ilies, while the catalog says they are white, are actually an off-white color now? It's true! They are perfect for a homespun-looking card like this one!

Well, that's all for today! I hope to have baby Oakley news for you soon!

Until tomorrow, which I hope is Oakley's birth-day, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Harvest Blessings Birthday!

Stampin’Up! Harvest Blessings Birthday!

Good Morning! Today I am headed to my Aunt & Uncle's 60th Anniversary Celebration! I am also taking three of my grandkids with me; Ava, Cohen, and Jaxon! I am excited to show them off to relatives I rarely get to see! It's about a 3 hour drive north to Hartsburg, Illinois (and a 3 hour drive back!) so it's a big day ahead of us!

Today I want to show you this card we made at my "Best Of" class yesterday, using Harvest Blessings, Best of Birthdays, and the water drops stamp from the My Paper Pumpkin Try-it Kit! This is a 4 1/4" square card. I  like to use this size sometimes just to do something a little different from the regular 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"!

All products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Tractor 1

The card base is Baked Brown Sugar, layered with Marina Mist, then Soft Sky. All stamping and sponging was done with Baked Brown Sugar (isn't that just the YUMMIEST name?) ink and we added a Baked Brown Sugar Candy Dot in the lower right corner. This was my first time using a Candy Dot, and I think I'm in love! They are so easy to lift off the packaging with a Paper Piercing Tool, and simple to apply with the adhesive already on them! FUN!

After stamping and sponging we also embossed the top layer with the Chevron Textured Impressions Folder. I think it gives the look and feel of tractor-tire tread, what do you think?

Tractor 2

Finally, on the inside we stamped with a phrase from the Bring On the Cake stamp set, along with the pumpkin/apple basket stamp and the "you are the seed . . ." stamp from Harvest Blessings.

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love & Soho Subway for Maddie Kate!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love & Soho Subway for Maddie Kate!

Good morning! Just wanted to show you quickly a few pics from Maddie Kate's birthday party last night and the card I made for her!

All products are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

First, the birthday girl!

Birthday girl

And of course she had to blow out the candles! Her mom made the cake, which she always does for birthdays. This year instead of "happy birthday" like usual, she wrote "She has the sophistication of a woman of TWELVE", a favorite quote from the movie "Little Rascals"!

Candles

And here's the card I made for her! I didn't want to post this until after she received it. Who wants a card everyone has seen before you do?

Label love for maddie kate 1
Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, and Island Indigo coordinate perfectly as the listed colors in the new Soho Subway designer paper coming in the NEW Catalog in just a little over a week!

The Label Love birthday greeting was punched with the Artisan Label punch, then layered on two more punched labels for the mat. They are attached to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Label love for maddie kate 2
I used an Window Sheet technique I learned in Fiji to attach the Big Shot Typeset Alphabet letters for her name on the inside when she opened the card!

Label love for maddie kate 3
For the third dimension of this card I stamped the cake from Make a Wish (in the Occasions catalog now but IS carrying over into the new catalog!) once in Baked Brown Sugar, once in Island Indigo, once in Crisp Cantaloupe on Very Vanilla scraps, then once in Crisp Cantaloupe on the Very Vanilla card layer. I fussy-cut out the individual cake layers with my Paper Snips, then attached them with a Stampin' Dimensional under each layer.

My final touch is just a teeny-tiny bit of Clear Dazzling Details on the candle flames! LOVE it!

Oh, and the "CELEBRATE" is from Seasonal Sayings, and the "you mean SO much to SO many people" is from One in a Million!

That's all for now! Maddie Kate's little sister, Ava Claire, spent the night with me while Maddie had 5 of her girlfriends spend the night, and today we  are going to have mani's and pedi's, and who knows what else we will do? We watched a couple of stamping videos before Ava went to sleep (Ava is a girl after her Grammie's own heart, she LOVES to stamp too!), so we may do a little stamping too!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
