Stampin’ Up! Dear Doily Inlaid Embossing!

Hey there! Happy one month Anniversary to Troy & Grace! It's hard to believe, after all of the months of waiting for their wedding day, they've been married a month!

Today I have another card created with the Butterfly Beauty dies from the Beauty Abounds bundle and sentiments from Hello Doily:

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique with the butterfly cut-out and the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this look. See my instruction handout at the end of this post for the full details of this technique!

Inside I used the bloom spray from Beauty Abounds and a sentiment from Dear Doily.

Stampin’ Up! No Cards to Share Today!

Hey there! You read the title right, no card today, but I want to share with you a new blogging schedule starting today. Honestly, I've realized I need to be a more gentle on myself. For the past several years I've held myself to a rigid schedule of blogging every day. With the exception of Sunday Swap Days I only share my original work. Original creations will continue, just the schedule of blogging is changing.

Creating every day, then photographing, editing, watermarking, writing a tutorial, and the blog post, can be exhausting. Some nights I've been falling asleep while my fingers are typing! God has been whispering in my heart that I needed to make some changes, but I didn't know what to change. I've been praying for guidance and He answered. I don't ever want to resist the Lord's direction.

I'm still doing workshops for my stamping friends and classes in my home. None of that will change, only my blogging schedule.

For now, I will share my creations on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and continue Sunday Swap Days. I don't know how long I will continue this schedule, but rest assured I am not quitting paper crafting!

I love to stamp and I love my job as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I love my customers (stamping friends, really!) and I love the girls on my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers.

I love you, my blog readers. I hope you will understand why I need to make this change and will check back with me regularly. I appreciate your willingness to come by my little piece of the blogging world to see what I have to share.

Stampin’ Up! By the Bay!

Hey there! Today I have a simple card to share with you created with the Sale-a-bration set, By the Bay. I used the Emboss Resist Technique, one that I keep returning to often over the years.

Stampin’ Up! By the Bay!

Stampin’ Up! February 2019 Paper Pumpkin Grown With Kindness!

Hey there! The February Paper Pumpkin box arrived today and I pounced on it for a session of quick and easy stamping! February's kit, called "Grown With Kindness", is a set of 9 photo-realistic cards featuring succulents!

I whipped these 9 cards together in about 30 minutes!

The stamp set included in the box has 14 different images, so there are many combinations to try!

The kit included everything I needed to make the cards: adhesive, black and white twine, banners to stamp, pieces to layer, and a Fresh Fig one-inch square Stampin' Spot!

My only addition to my stamping session was a Lemon Lime Twist inkpad to coordinate with some of the succulents!

This is my favorite phrase from this box!

This one is pretty good too:

Here's a tip for tying a bow with twine: put a glue dot where you want the bow to be on your card. After you tie the first step of the bow, press the twine into the glue dot. Finish tying the bow and press the rest of the knot into the glue dot too! The glue dot is like having and extra hand while you tie!

Stampin’ Up! Vibrant Vases!

Hey there! Today is Darcy's 4th birthday! She informed me yesterday she is expecting a special card from me in addition to her gift, and even wanted to supervise the creation of it. I managed to put her off so it would be a surprise. I'll be sharing her special little-girly card with you next week!

Today I'm sharing a card that is a semi-case of a card from the Occasions Catalog page 23 with the Vibrant Vases set:

Vibrant Vases includes the three solid vases to stamp and punch with the Vases Builder Punch, as well as the leaves and the tulip two-step stamps. I stamped the leaves with Garden Green and the tulips with Lovely Lipstick.

I used Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon, and cut the tiny scallop edges with a Be Mine Framelit.

I cut the Vibrant Vases greeting banner with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit.

Inside I used a sentiment from Climbing Roses. You can see a bit of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap peeking out behind the card.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday, More Sale-a-bration Swaps!

Hey there! I'm sharing more Sale-a-bration swaps today because on February 15th Stampin' Up! releases a second collection of Sale-abration choices!

Karen Kurz stamped the Tea Together teapot on a Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet (SAB) , cut with a Tea Time Framelit. The greeting was cut with a Well Written Framelit.

Jenna Roby used Tea Together and Tea Time Framelits (you need to order $100 before tax & shipping to get them free). White Glossy card stock, All My Love Designer Paper, and Layered Leaves Dynamic Folder.

Lovely Lipstick and Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends to colored the teapot.

France Martin used the other $100 Sale-a-bration freebie, Lasting Lily:

She colored the white side of a Colored Doily with Blueberry Bushel ink and added a few Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins for sparkle.

Sharon Tong-Robinson also used Lasting Lily for her calm and serene sympathy card:

Stephanie Flath combined Lasting Lily with Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Paper, a Heart Epoxy Droplet, and a Stitched Shapes framelit.

Stephanie used the Diagonal Fold technique to add more interest to a less-than-fun reason to send a card.

Finally, to end on a brighter note, Tamra Davis combined the Daisy Punch, Bitty Blooms Punch Pack, Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper, and a Lasting Lily sentiment for her swap:
