Stampin’ Up! Free As a Bird Fun Fold Overlay!

Hey there! Today I have another fun-fold overlay card, this time with the Free As A Bird stamp set and Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. My color palette for this one is Petal Pink and Whisper White with some hints of Very Vanilla.

I tied the Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon over the flap embossed with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder. I put a glue dot under the knot to keep it all in place.

I love the look of the Bird Ballad Designer Paper with the Petal Pink card stock. Soooo pretty! I added three tiny pearls to accent the greeting from Very Versailles.

The inside sentiment is also from Very Versailles.

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop July 2019 Color Your World!

Hey there! I used Lined Alphabet stamps, Layering Alphabet dies, and Stampin' Blends for my hop creation!

I stamped "happy" on Shimmery White with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colored across the letters with my Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blend. I colored bottom up with my Light Highland Heather Blend, and added Dark Highland Heather Blend along the bottom.

I attached the letters in a whimsical manner with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals over Highland Heather butterflies cut with a Butterfly Beauty die. See my printable tutorial at the end of my post for more details!

Inside is sentiment-free.

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Part 3!

Hey there! Today I have a third card to share with you that I created with the Magnolia Lane Suite. Once I got started, I really went on a roll!

For this card I embossed a Shimmery White layer with the Layered Leaves folder then added the gold-embossed vellum magnolia bloom with dimensionals:

All of the research I've done on magnolia color (you seldom see a magnolia in Southern Illinois, lol!) shows it with color radiating from the center but with the outer edges are more white or cream. After heat embossing the flower on vellum with gold powder, I colored the bloom on the back side with a Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend. I then removed the color from the edges inward with the Stampin' Blend Color Lifter. You need to clean the tip of the Color Lifter frequently on scrap paper to keep the tip color-free so it can remove more color.

After coloring, I sponged Liquid Glue on the backside of the bloom/leaves, adhered to a layer of Whisper White, then cut with the coordinating Magnolia Memory die.

The Soft Suede-stamped sentiment was punched with the new Timeless Label and I added a bow tied with new Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim.

I stamped the inside sentiment with Soft Suede. I then added a Mossy Meadow leaf that I stamped-off once on scrap paper before stamping below the sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! Retiring Favorites with Coffee Cafe and Cookie Cutter Christmas!

Hey there! I'm a little under-the-weather right now with a spring cold/allergies. Just about all of my little grandkids have it too, and my hubby has joined in the fun, so I've not had any mojo to stamp for awhile.

I'm really glad I have the opportunity to share more of my Retiring Favorites samples with you!

Stampin’ Up! Bike Ride!

Hey there! I added the "Last Chance" banner to remind you (and me!) that many stamps, dies, and accessories are on the retiring list, including many of the things I used on today's creation! This card is created with the retiring Bike Ride stamp set and Build a Bike framelits:

I love how the Seaside embossing folder (retiring) gives the look of the bike riding through the wind! I sponged the raised lines, as well as the bike, with Crumb Cake ink for a vintage look.

I added the banner with Blushing Bride using the retiring Pick a Pennant stamps and Playful Pennants dies.

I punched the Blushing Bride blooms with a retiring Bitty Blooms punch.

One of the few things NOT retiring on this card is this sentiment from Strong & Beautiful.

Stampin’ Up! Dear Doily Inlaid Embossing!

Hey there! Happy one month Anniversary to Troy & Grace! It's hard to believe, after all of the months of waiting for their wedding day, they've been married a month!

Today I have another card created with the Butterfly Beauty dies from the Beauty Abounds bundle and sentiments from Hello Doily:

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique with the butterfly cut-out and the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this look. See my instruction handout at the end of this post for the full details of this technique!

Inside I used the bloom spray from Beauty Abounds and a sentiment from Dear Doily.
