Stampin’Up! Beau Chateau Gatefold!

Stampin’Up! Beau Chateau Gatefold!

It's Sunday evening and I'm finally finding a minute to sit down and think about my blog! The past couple of days have been action-packed: Friday we most of the day in the car driving to Rolla, MO to attend a Transfer Student Enrollment Day with Logan. We've been expecting to move him there in August, but found out that day that he will be moving there in JUNE! Turns out if he takes a couple of Chemical Engineering Pre-requisite Classes this summer he can start in the fall as a Junior. I must admit, I'm having trouble with his leaving early, so I may be teary alot in the next few weeks!

Yesterday was spent at a "Spring Into Stamping" event in Champaign, IL. Three of my downline attended with me, and even though we left my house at  4:30 a.m. for the almost three hour drive, we had a blast!

I had the priviledge to present at this event, and I showed the Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique with the Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets. This is the card I demonstrated, using Beau Chateau Designer Paper and the Blossom Punch!

Stampin’ Up! Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets!

Stampin’ Up! Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets!

Well, it seem like I'm doing late night postings for now! Jessica, Alisa, and I worked on the decorations for Kimberly's baby shower today, and we got a lot of things worked out and planned, and some things even finished, so we think one more day and we will be done!

This weekend a few of my downline and I are going to Champaign, IL, for a "Spring Into Stamping" event hosted by Kim Peck and Meg Loven. We have attended this event a few other years and it is always enjoyable! This year I was invited to present a 10-15 minute Technique demonstration "on stage", so I am really  excited and nervous at the same time! I have chosen to demonstrate the "Dazzling Diamond Dust" technique with the Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets, but have been playing around with a few other uses of the product. Here is a new card I just made tonight with the Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique, Beau Chateau Designer Paper, Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Folder, and "Loving Thoughts" stamp set:

So what do you think? The photography is kind of crummy because I didn't take the time to get out my photo tent to take the pictures, but you get the idea!

I think it's time for me to go to bed, I've run out of things to say tonight!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! Everything Eleanor and a New Technique!

Stampin’ Up! Everything Eleanor and a New Technique!

Good Thursday Morning Stampers! I need to pause with showing you the rest of the calendar pages to show you a Sneak Peek from the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 ANNUAL CATALOG, which begins on June 1st! In this catalog you will see many positive changes, with this catalog feature more of our "core" products and less seasonal. This is a positive change, IMHO, because who needs, for instance, Christmas stamps in your catalog in the spring taking up space?

Anywhoo, yesterday was my Mother-in-law's 84th birthday, so I made this card especially for her. She loves lavendar and purple, so I used Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, and Whisper White for my color palette, along with a Sneak Peek stamp set, "Everything Eleanor"! Everyone attending Leadership this past January received this set! I love how Stampin' Up! tries very hard to keep us supplied with fresh stamps!

Here's the card:

I used a new technique I just learned from Erin Gonzalez, "Versa-Shadow"! It's very easy but gives a really professional look to your project! This is a Technique we will be learning at my Technique Classes in April! I also made her a corner bookmark with her initial, "D" for "Dolores", using the "Broadsheet Alphabet". The directions for the bookmark were in the magazine Stampin' Up! sends out to all demonstrators this month, so since Dolores loves to read, it was just the perfect thing for her!

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget, Sale-a-bration ends on Saturday, just two more days after today, so contact me ASAP if you want to get some of the freebies available!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Quilted Dazzling Diamond Dust!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch Quilted Dazzling Diamond Dust!

Try sayin' that 5 times fast!

I'm getting ready for a workshop tonight, and yesterday evening, (after the taxes were done, yuck!) I started working on the projects for it! I wanted to use the SAB Designer Paper, "Everyday Enchantment", and I knew I wanted to use the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set, but after that I was pretty stumped. I went to Stampin' Connection, the exclusive, demo-only website Stampin' Up! provides for us (just ONE of the MANY great perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!) and typed in "Mixed Bunch". Several PAGES filled with thumbnails of great ideas came up. I found a card with this color scheme, using the "embedded embossing" technique to give the card it's quilted look, so I stated CASE-ing. (CASE-ing means to "Copy And Share Everything"!") I changed up a few things, such as adding the "Dazzling Diamond Dust" technique with the Big Shot Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, as well as adding the Word Window-punched sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes", and "Everyday Enchantment" Ribbon and Brad.

Can you see the glitter on the Blossom Punch-ed flower? I LOVE IT!

I also mounted the focal point on a Lucky Limeade mat layer and then a cardbase of Poppy Parade. I know the color in the DSP is supposed to be Calypso Coral, and I LOVE Calypso Coral, I actually prefer to use Poppy Parade with this paper. I think it just gives it all a little more "pop"!

Here's the inside of the card. I used an oldie-but-goodie, tried-and-true, go-to set, "Curvy Verses"! (Do you think I can come up with a few more cliches? If you can think of some more, leave me a comment with your suggestions and I will give away a few of these cards! Just leave me a comment between now and midnight, Sunday, March 4th and I will draw names to give 6 of these cards away!

Good Morning!

Good morning Stampers!

So sorry for the late posting this morning, once in awhile things just do not go as planned, do they?

Here's another "punched glitter" technique card, only this time I used the Big Shot Framelits to cut out the "Apothecary Art" image!

This picture doesn't do the glitteriness justice, but you can get the idea! We are making this card at my workshop in Marion tonight! I get to stamp with these lovely ladies almost every month and I can't wait!

Well, I'd better run and get the rest of my projects for tonight all packed up!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day
