Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day August 22nd!

Hey there! Here's a fun group of five swaps, all created with Sale-a-bration catalog freebies, for Sunday Swap Day!

First, Shelly Gruber used 3 Sale-a-bration freebies, each from a $50 order, to create her Counting Sheep card. The other two SAB freebies are Sheep Dies, and Penguin Playmates 12" x 12" Designer Series paper.

She used a greeting from All for Baby on the front and a sentiment from Counting Sheep inside.

Next, Laura Barto used Delicate Dahlias SAB freebie to create her fun-fold:

Stephanie Flath used the Penguin Place stamp set with the Checks & Dots embossing folders and 1/4" Black & White Gingham Ribbon for her card front.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest with a Watercolor Shapes Background!

Hey there! Today I have one more Nature's Harvest card to share with you (for now! wink!) This time I combined the set with the Watercolor Shapes stamp set to make a really quick background:

I started by stamping the large rectangle image from Watercolor Shapes with Crumb Cake ink on the 4" x 5 1/4" Crumb Cake front layer, then stamped the blooms and the greeting with Blackberry Bliss ink. After I wrapped some Linen Thread a couple of times and tied in a knot, I then embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder before adhering to a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" Blackberry Bliss layer. I added a few Gilded Gems for some sparkle and interest.

Inside I used a sentiment from Shaded Summer and another bunch of blooms, all stamped in Blackberry Bliss!

This was one of the quickest and easiest cards I've made in a long time!

Stampin’ Up! Hats Off for a Baby Boy!

Hey there! I think I am finally recovered from the big Father's Day celebration we had here on Sunday! I worked all day Saturday getting the house ready. As a paper crafter, I tend to have a lot of my supplies out where I can SEE them and FIND them, which sometimes means I do have messes to clean up! I also have been working on Vacation Bible School Crafts, so I also had those supplies to pack up to make room for the 26 members of our family to be together! It has taken me about two sleeps to recover! lol!

Today I have a simple card I created to go with a baby boy gift for a friend at church. I used the Hats Off Bundle and a simple color combo of Basic White and Balmy Blue.

I stamped the hat and the emblem with Misty Moonlight ink. After cutting out the hat with a Hat Builder Die, I mounted it on the Balmy Blue layer that I had embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Hats off doesn't have any baby-specific greetings, but this little guy has two big sisters waiting for his arrival, so "Life is Great" seemed appropriate, which is included in the set.

Inside I stamped "Here's to the Next Adventure", which is also included in Hats Off and just felt right for this card.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach Fun Flap Fold!

Hey there! Today I have a fun card to share with you, created with an easy fun fold, the Sweet As A Peach Bundle, and the Stitched Greenery Die!

I ran both the white front layer and the 6" x 2" Pear Pizzazz flap fold strip through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss with the Stitched Greenery Die. The flap is scored at 2" so it will fold and adhere under the inside white layer, which is also cut with the Stitched Greenery Die. I used the same color combo of Pale Papaya and sponged Calypso Coral for the peach.

I stamped the peach branch on the inside but didn't add a sentiment so I can decide later if I will use it for a birthday, anniversary, thank-you, etc.

This card is a winner!
