Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Sweet As A Peach!

Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Sweet As A Peach!

Hey there! Today I have another card created with the Sweet As a Peach Bundle, but there's not a single peach on it!

When I first opened the You're a Peach Designer Paper I matched up these prints and promised myself I would make a card with them! Stampin_up_balmy_blue_sweet_as_a_peach_carolpaynestamps1

Here's my card. I used the flowers in the Sweet As a Peach set instead of the peaches. There are Peach Dies that cut them out!

Stampin_up_balmy_blue_sweet_as_a_peach_carolpaynestamps2 (2)

I centered each bloom with an Opal Round. They have just the right amount of subtle sparkle!

Stampin_up_balmy_blue_sweet_as_a_peach_carolpaynestamps4

This tiny "hello" is included in the Sweet As a Peach set, along with the tiny flowers and the die to cut it out is in the Peach dies!

Stampin_up_balmy_blue_sweet_as_a_peach_carolpaynestamps5

The inside sentiment is also from Sweet As a Peach!

Stampin_up_balmy_blue_sweet_as_a_peach_carolpaynestamps6 (2)

I'm loving playing with this bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Gilded Alcohol Background!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Gilded Alcohol Background!

Hey there! I'm back today with another alcohol ink blended background, but this time I added gilded leafing to the raised edges of the vellum! Gorgeous!

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pink_gilded_carolpaynestamps1

I cut the bloom from a piece of Gold Metallic paper, then added Gilded Gems for more sparkle. I also used Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pink_gilded_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Peaceful Moments. I inked the bloom first with Fresh Freesia and added Polished Pink with a Sponge Dauber before stamping on the lower corner and on the envelope.
Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pink_gilded_carolpaynestamps4

After creating the background on the vellum using Stampin' Blends and 91% rubbing alcohol I embossed the layer with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder. I then lightly rubbed the raised embossed ridges with a Versamark ink pad, sprinkled with Heat & Stick Powder, and then gently heated with a Heat Tool. Immediately after heating I pressed the layer into my container of Gilded Leafing, rubbing and brushing away the excess with a medium-t0-soft brush.  You need to be careful to just barely touch the Versamark pad to the raised ridges of the layer or you will end up with a blotchy mess like this:

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream for Darcy!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream for Darcy!

Hey there! Yesterday my granddaughter, Darcy, graduated from Kindergarten and I got to go to the ceremony! I wanted to make her a card to commemorate the occasion, so I pulled out the Sweet Ice Cream Suite from the Spring Mini Catalog.

Darcy loves popsicles  more than she does ice cream, so I used one of the prints from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper that has fun popsicles all over it with Bermuda Bay card stock and ink:

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed a Bermuda Bay panel on the left side with one of the Checks & Dots embossing folder. These folders are created to fit in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, a fun, smaller, more portable and affordable version of the standard Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine!

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps2

I used the Tailored Tag Punch for the greeting, then added a few of the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles with tiny dots of liquid glue. I used the Take Your Pick Tool to pick up the sprinkles and place them on the glue.

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps3

Inside:

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps4

Dimensions to make your own card:

Bermuda Bay base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4"  greeting mat: scrap front layer to emboss: 3" x 5 1/4"

Ice Cream Corner DSP for front flap: 1" x 5 1/4" inside strip: 1" x 4 3/4"  for envelope flap: 2 1/4" x 5  3/4"

Basic White for greeting: scrap  inside layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

NOTE: The Sweet Ice Cream stamp set DID carry over to the new Annual Catalog. The Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper and Sprinkles DID NOT carry over and are while-supplies last with a sure retirement date of June 30th, so order your supplies TODAY!

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Favorites!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stampers Dozen May Blog Hop! Our May theme is "New Catalog Favorites", so you'll be getting glimpses of each of our favorite products from the New Annual Catalog!

So far my favorite in the New Annual Catalog is the Expressions In In Suite found on pages 96-97. It's even featured on the front of the catalog!

I used one of the coordinating colors found in the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Paper, Pale Papaya, to create my card:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pale_papaya_carolpaynestamps1

I used two layering circles dies to create the window to see the greeting inside the card.

I accented with Genial Gems.

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thanks!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created with the Artistically Inked Bundle. If you have been visiting my blog this week, you know I've been featuring this bundle every day since Monday. Today I used the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic 6" x 6" Specialty Paper to create this:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

I cut the Gold Metallic paper (it's really a glimmer paper, but the photo doesn't show you how sparkly this die-cut really is) with one of the Artistic Dies. I added it with strategically placed glue dots.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps2

This gold striped paper is from the Expressions In Ink Specialty paper pack. I stamped the "thanks" from the Artistically Inked stamp set directly on the paper, embossing with Clear Embossing Powder. Stamping on the gold stripes makes the word look like it is behind them!

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps3 (2)

Inside I used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments to coordinate with the greeting on the front.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps4 (2)

I stamped the same image I had stamped on the inside layer all around the Magenta Madness card front with Magenta Madness to add texture and depth to the card front.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_magenta_madness_carolpaynestamps5 (2)
