Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Hey there! It's Sunday! yay! This morning was my turn to help in the nursery at church during the morning service. Lot's of work, but so much fun!

Today's swap cards are all about florals and color!

First a side-fold card with the  Flower Patch Bundle, Four You greeting, and yummy new Melon Mambo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon!

Stampin_up_flower_patch_1

Inside you can see how the side-fold and center panel work. Card base is Wild Wasabi.

Stampin_up_flower_patch_2

Next, a window pocket card. A Flower Fair Framelit was used to cut the window, and a phrase from the new Fabulous Four was embossed with white to make it pop!

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_1

I have helpers when I'm taking my pics outside on my deck. This is just one of the TEN kittens we have right now!

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_2

Next is Blended Bloom. The hand-cut lattice technique was used on the spine of the card and the Hardwood Background really completes the backyard-fence look!

Stampin_up_blended_bloom_6

Here's another view of my Blended Bloom card from earlier this week. You can view the original post with more details HERE.

That's all for now. I'm so sorry this isn't posting until Sunday night, but you know how things go, sometimes not at all how you plan!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! As promised, I have swaps to share today! Let's get started:

Stampin_up_tap_tap_tap

First, a brand-new set called Tap, Tap, Tap. The Hardwood background was stamped on all five cardstock strips to give it a "paneling" look.

Stampin_up_wetlands_1

Next, color was sponged on the background, the Wetlands goose was stamped, then framed with "Polaroid" mat cut with the On Frame framelit dies.

Stampin_up_lovely_as_a_tree

Lastly, the oldie-but-goodie set, Lovely As a Tree was given a fresh look with the "split negative" technique. DID YOU KNOW? Lovely As a Tree has been in the Stampin' Up! catalog for over TWELVE years? It is the longest-sold stamp set ever! I've been a demo for 11 years, but it has been with Stampin' Up! longer than I have! This card combines Lovely As a Tree, Hardwood Background, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, and a bit of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape. Perfect!

That's all for now. Enjoy your Sunday! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! It’s Sunday Swap Day with Something for Baby!

Stampin’ Up! It’s Sunday Swap Day with Something for Baby!

Hey there! It's Sunday, which means it's time to share some swaps! I know I've been absent from my blog quite a bit this week. Part of the reason is I broke my camera lens a few weeks ago and now when I take pics with my little point-and-shoot I'm just not happy with them at all. A new lens has finally been ordered, so hopefully it will come in soon and I can get my blogging mojo back.

Today I have three baby cards to share, all using the new set, Something for Baby!

First, Raedean Shibata created this simple congratulations card, including paper-piercing using a template from the Festive Paper Piercing pack and a greeting from Something to Say. She paired Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock with a selection from the Lullaby Designer Paper pack.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_1

She used Crisp Cantaloupe and Hello Honey Stampin' Write Markers to ink the bib stamp. Sooooo cute!

Next, a much larger image from Something for Baby was used for this card, which unfortunately I have lost the creator's info. Some swappers attach their info on the back of the card on a post-it note, which helps me keep the name with the card, but some do not. If it's just loose with the card, it's much more likely to get lost as I take the swaps with me to workshops and classes.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_2

This card features just Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. Just two colors, but it makes a very visually pleasing look! The rhinestones were colored with one of the Daffodil Delight Blendability markers, which should finally be available in a few weeks.

Lastly, I CASED this card from Deb Valder. Deb makes the most amazing cards. I stepped up just a few things, but I'd definitely going to be making more cards with this template, and I know you are going to want to know how!

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_2

This card stands up on it's own and is called a "block card". Doesn't it look just like a stack of baby blocks? Images from Something for Baby were cut with the coordinating Baby's First Framelits.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_1

(Please pardon the sawdust. Apparently we have wood bees trying to make a home in our deck roof!) I cut the numbers with the "1, 2, and 3" from the File Tabs Edgelits Dies.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_3

Pretty, pretty, pretty!

On the top blocks I stamped more phrases from Something to Say:

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_4

The tiny little hearts were punched with the Owl Builder Punch.

Stampin’ Up! Cruise Swaps Part 5!

Stampin’ Up! Cruise Swaps Part 5!

Hey there. I'm back again with more cruise swaps!

This swap has some retired product, but I wanted to show it to you anyway because I love the layout:

Stampin_up_million_one

Flower Shop and Petite Petals blossoms were stamped on Vellum with black ink, then punched with the Pansy Punch and Petite Petals Punch. They were colored on the back side of the vellum with a Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write marker. Their attachment to the card with Glue Dots is hidden by the Pearls added to the centers. The greeting is from Million & One.

Next, Blushing Bride cardstock was stamped with the Hardwood Background, then punched with the Triangle punch to create the fencing.

Stampin_up_pleasant_poppies_1

Pleasant Poppies, a greeting from Six-Sided Sampler, and Gold Sequins combine for a harmonious look!

Lastly, the leafy stem from Summer Silhouettes was stamped with Pistachio Pudding before adding the fussy-cut owl and banner from So Very Happy.

Stampin_up_so_very_happy_1

The branches were punched with the bird builder punch, "happy birthday!" was highlighted with a White Gel Pen, and a sliver of glitz was added with Silver Foil  paper.

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
