Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Products List and a Clearance Rack Refresh Starts Today!

Hey there! I know I've been AWOL for awhile, but I do have some good things in the works that are just not quite ready to share yet! Last week I was prepping for our family Thanksgiving when I suddenly became ill with a tummy bug on Wednesday evening which knocked me down for the rest of the weekend. I was very sad to have to "cancel" our family gathering, but we will all be together at Christmas, Lord willing!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Imbedded Embossing!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Imbedded Embossing!

Hey there! Today I have my 16th and final post featuring the Artistically Inked Bundle. After today I will be playing with other stamps, dies, papers, etc., that I have recently ordered from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog!

My card today features Pale Papaya and Polished Pink with the Imbedded Embossing technique:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_sponged_edges_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the large bloom with Pale Papaya ink on Pale Papaya card stock, adding Polished Pink ink over the Pale Papaya ink on the stamp using a Sponge Dauber BEFORE stamping on the card stock. I cut out the large bloom and the smaller ones stamped with Polished Pink on Pale Papaya with Artistic Dies.

Here's an up-close of the Imbedded Embossing. After cutting the intricate Pale Papaya blooms with an Adhesive Sheet on the back using the Artistic Die, I adhered to the Pale Papaya layer using the adhesive sheet. I then ran the entire layer through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. I then lightly added Polished Pink ink with a Blending Brush.

The Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon perfectly compliments the card, as does the Champagne Rhinestones I used for the flower centers.  The greeting is from Tasteful Touches.                                                                                                                                                                                             Stampin_up_artistically_inked_sponged_edges_carolpaynestamps4

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Seeing 3-D!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Seeing 3-D!

Hey there! It's time for the Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop! This month our theme is Seeing 3D. We're sure you'll find incredible inspiration from the projects you are about to see!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

GV Blog Header

For the "3-D" theme I created an easel calendar with a masculine theme. I used The "Going Global" product suite, perfect to create an easel post-it note calendar for a guy's desk:

Stampin_up_going_global_1 - Copy

This calendar folds  flat to fit into a custom envelope or box created with the Envelope Punch Board.

Stampin_up_going_global_2 - Copy

I used Basic Black and Delightful Dijon, two colors from the Going Places Designer Series Paper. My husband is a self-taught astronomer, so I think he would love this constellation design!

Stampin_up_going_global_3 - Copy

The black map behind the calendar was embossed with the World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sponged lightly with Whisper White Craft ink to bring out the design.

"I thank my lucky stars for you" was heat-embossed with gold powder and punched with a 1" Circle Punch. I used the 2" Circle Punch for the globe and the Washi Label Punch for the sentiment.
