Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Fall Assortment!

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Fall Assortment!

Hey there! I have a pretty nice group of fall swaps to share with you today!

First, Anne Brown combined Into the Woods Designer Paper with Acorny Thank you for her swap, adding a Gold Foil "thanks" cut with a Hello You Thinlet:

Stampin_up_acorny_thank_you_1

Tone-on-tone stamped acorns make a subtle background:

Stampin_up_acorny_thank_you_2

Next, Sandy Carlson used Thankful Forest Friends, including a gorgeous print from the Into the Woods Designer Paper and Into the Woods 3/8"  Cotton Ribbon!

Stampin_up_thankful_forest_friends_1

Thankful Forest Friends has a total of 7 whimsical images that work for the outside and the inside of the card:

Stampin_up_thankful_forest_friends_2

Jenn Gulch also used Thankful Forest Friends and Into the Woods paper for her Corner Flip Card swap:

Stampin_up_thankful_forest_friends_5

Katina Martinez' swap isn't actually fall-themed, but I love how she stamped the wreath from the Circle of Spring on vellum, colored with markers, and accented with punched Itty Bitty Accents flowers. After cutting with the Wonderful Wreath framelit, she mounted on a Whisper White Brick Wall-embossed layer. The Basic Black background was embossed with the Lovely Lace folder.

Stampin_up_circle_of_spring_1

I also love her fresh color combo of Whisper White, Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral:

Stampin_up_circle_of_spring_2

Finally, Tamie Ackerson chose Vintage Leaves for her swap. After stamping with Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, and Cajun Craze on the coordinating card stocks, she cut with the Leaflets framelits, then spritzed with alcohol and crumpled each leaf before adding to her creation with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon gives an earthy feel. Tamie even tied a few of the threads from the ribbon around the leaf stem.

Stampin’ Up! Leaflets Framelits Dies!

Stampin’ Up! Leaflets Framelits Dies!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing some gorgeous swaps that all use the Leaflets Framelits Dies. Two stamp sets coordinate with the dies, Vintage Leaves in the Annual Catalog and Lighthearted Leaves in the Holiday Catalog, but I was surprised by other sets that also work great!

Marcie Besecker combined Hardwood Background, Woodland Textured Impressions folder, Vintage Leaves, and a Sheltering Tree greeting:

  Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_1
Marcie embossed Vintage Leaves with gold powder, colored with reinkers and Aqua Painters, then cutting  with Leaflets dies.

She pulled threads from 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon to add a fringe, then tied the threads around the leaves.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_2

Mary Waring cut Into the Woods Designer Series Paper with a Leaflets Framelit, layering over Blackberry Bliss and Gold Foil. She used more Into the Woods for the "tree trunk", dividing from the Blackberry Bliss with Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon turned with the plain side up.

Stampin_up_acorny_thank_you_1

A greeting from A Little Something was punched with the  Acorn Builder Punch, then layered over a Gold Foil acorn. Little touches of Crystal Effects to each tiny acorn adds dimension and shine. Stampin_up_acorny_thank_you_2
Katy Simecka combined Vintage Leaves, Sheltering Tree, and Woodland Textured Impressions Folder for her creation:

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_3

Finally, Karen Kurz cut a leaf "window" from Crushed Curry before embossing with the Woodland folder. She stamped Happy Scenes on a Shimmery White layer, sponging with So Safforn, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze. She highlighted the window with a Basic Black marker.

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Remember to Give Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Remember to Give Thanks!

GV_Blog_Hop_Banner_04
Hey there and welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for September. The theme for the hop this month is Remember to Give Thanks!

You may be starting from here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

For my contribution to the hop this month, I decided to use a tried and true technique that works perfectly with the thankful theme, Faux Silk!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_1 - Copy

I stamped Vintage Leaves with Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow on plain tissue paper then crumpled it in my hand. After I opened the tissue and partially smoothed it, I covered a Very Vanilla layer with Stampin' Glue Stick and adhered the tissue to it, smoothing the tissue but still leaving a few wrinkles to give it more of a "slubbed silk" look.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_3 - Copy

I wrapped the edges of the tissue around to the back side of the vanilla layer and adhered with SNAIL, then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

After I stamped the "thankful" greeting with Chocolate Chip and cut banner points with my Paper Snips, I sponged the acorn element with Chocolate Chip before adding with a glue dot. After I smushed the wooden leaves directly onto the ink pad I realized I could use them to "stamp" over the greeting, then adding with glue dots.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_2 - Copy - Copy

An Early Espresso 1/2" Seam Binding bow finishes off the front.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_faux_silk_4 - Copy

Inside I used a sentiment from Lighthearted Leaves, which coordinates perfectly with today's "Remember to Give Thanks" theme.

To order supplies used today, you can find them all in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop. With so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want want to miss a single one! Remember you are currently at Carol Payne Stamps, so please check the blog hop line up below and click the next on the list.

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves Birthday!

Hey there! I LOVE the Vintage Leaves set almost as much as Lighthearted Leaves! I CASED (and changed) a swap by Karen Trelfa to create my 3rd card for the September Online Birthday Class:

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_1 - Copy

Karen's card was shades of Stampin' Up! greens. I used Rich Razzleberry as my main color, also stamping the leaves in Cajun Craze and Tip Top Taupe.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_2 - Copy

A phrase from Petite Pairs in Rich Razzleberry on a Very Vanilla scrap, cut with one of the Leaflets Framelits, was adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional. I added a knot of into the Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon with a glue dot.

A splatter from Gorgeous Grunge, stamped with Tip Top Taupe, pulls the scattering of leaves together.

Inside I repeated the leaves, finishing off with the companion Petite Pairs phrase:

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_3 - Copy

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Vintage Leaves!

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Vintage Leaves!

Hey there! Today I have a whole handful of gorgeous fall swaps to share!

First, Betty Button combined Vintage Leaves with the Layered Letters Alphabet, cutting the leaves with the Leaflets Framelits:

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_4

Next, Elizabeth Giles combined Vintage Leaves with a thank you from One Big Meaning:

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_8

Angela Waters used the negative space left from cutting out a Leaflet Framelit for her focal point, then added the cut out leaf to the bunch she gathered with Burlap Ribbon threads.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_2

She cut one from the Kraft Corrugated Paper for more texture, adding to the Early Espresso card stock leaf and the Crushed Curry Vintage Leaf stamped one. A strip of Farmer's Marker Designer Paper and greeting from A Dozen Thoughts round it all out!

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_3

Anne Brown combined the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Folder with Bohemian Designer Washi Tape for her simple thank you. She softy sponged a Leaflets-cut leaf, tying with a bit of Gold Metallic Thread.

Stampin_up_leaflets_1
Melissa Roberts stamped the Soft Sky layer with the Brushstrokes Background, then cut a Whisper White Lots of Labels Framelit layer to stamp her Vintage Leaves with  Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive . A bit of Old Olive Baker's Twine and an Old Olive Candy Dot (on sale this week on the Weekly Deals!) frame the greeting from One Big Meaning.

Stampin_up_vintage_leaves_5

Finally, Karen Trelfa stamped her Vintage Leaves with Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Wild Wasabi, adding splotches from Gorgeous Grunge. I love how she stamped her greeting from Something to Say, then cut it with a Leaflets Framelit, tying with a bit of Wild Wasabi 1/2" Seam Binding!
