Stampin’ Up! Ridiculously Awesome Criss Cross Cards!

Hey there! Today I have two more criss-cross cards to share with you, this time created with the retiring Ridiculously Awesome stamp set and retiring Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper:

Both Ridiculously Awesome and Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper are currently still available on the Last Chance Products Sale List. Ridiculously Awesome is guaranteed to be available to order through April 23rd, but the Flowers For Every Season paper, which is currently discounted from the regular price of $11.50 to $6.90, is only available while supplies last.

I used Ridiculously Awesome sentiments both for the outside and the inside of both of today's cards.

For my second card I used this sentiment which resonates greatly with me after all of the anxiety I have dealt with this winter. I am doing much better now, after a change of doctors and medications. I am starting to act and feel like myself again! While the dr and the meds were definitely major factors in my recovery, I give God all the credit for sustaining me through this ordeal and guiding me to change doctors at just the right time.

I do wish this sentiment could say, " you (and God) have got this. Nothing I do is on my own.

Stampin’ Up! Saying Goodbye to the Retiring List!

Hey there! It's time again for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme is "Saying Goodbye". We're featuring some of our favorite products retiring from the Annual Catalog on May 3rd.

For my project I'm using Dandelion Wishes!

I used 1" x 5" strips of So Saffron, Coastal Cabana, and Calypso Coral, adhering to a 5" x 3 3/4" Basic White prepared with a layer of Adhesive Sheet. I trimmed the strips flush with the white layer before adding a 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" Basic White mat layer. I heat embossed the dandelions with white embossing powder, adding Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some sparkle.

I heat embossed the sentiment on Coastal Cabana, punching with a retiring 2" Circle Punch. I added a Basic White mat punched with the retiring 2 1/4" Circle Punch.

Inside I stamped just the dandelions.

Card dimensions:

Coastal Cabana Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored & folded at 4 1/4"

Basic White layer: 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Basic White layer to adhere strips: 5" x 3 3/4"

So Saffron, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral strips: 1" x 5"

Coastal Cabana for greeting and Basic White mat: 2 1/2" x 3

Basic White inside: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Criss-Cross Card!

Hey there! Today I have a new technique to share with you! I didn't invent it, but I don't actually know the name for it, so I'm calling it a "criss-cross card". I used retiring Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the retiring So Sentimental Bundle to create this:

I used one piece of designer series paper, cut at the diagonal from two corners, then flipped two of the sections over to use the opposite side. Here's a couple of pictures that explain it a little more:

I put two opposite corners of the 3 3/4" x 5" piece of designer paper rectangle along the cutting track of my paper trimmer, then cut to create two equal-sized triangles. Keeping the rectangle pushed together, I turned it 180 degrees so the un-cut corners are now lined up with the cutting track.

After the second cut, you will have four triangles.

The greeting is from the retiring stamp set, So Sentimental. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies it is bundled with are not retiring, but you need to order the bundle before May 3rd because not only will the stamp set be gone forever, the 10% savings will be too. The Just Jade 1/4" In Color Ribbon is also retiring.

The card base is a super-easy z-fold!

The inside sentiment is also from So Sentimental.

Just Jade base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2"

Misty Moonlight layer: 5 1/4" x 4" -need two greeting mat: 3" x 4"

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Sneak Peek with Elegantly Said!

Hey there! Today I have a sneak peek created with a brand-new bundle coming out in the new Annual Catalog on May 4th! Elegantly Said is bundled with the brand-new Elegant Tag Punch!

I created this card to accompany another wedding shower gift for my granddaughter, Maddie Kate!

I heat embossed the flourishes with white embossing powder. I love the intricate details!

I punched the greeting from Elegantly Said with the coordinating Elegant Tag Punch, then punched two more tags fro Champagne Foil to layer behind it.

I used a Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends marker to color the White/Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon. This ribbon was on the retiring list and is already sold out, but the White/Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (which is also retiring) has not sold out yet. This ribbon is so elegant for wedding and special occasion cards, and can be colored any color you need with a Stampin' Blend. You need to order a few rolls of it TODAY before it sells completely out!

I stamped the inside layer with another Elegantly Said sentiment, as well as the envelope with more flourishes, all with Misty Moonlight ink.

The Elegantly Said Bundle of stamps and punch are not orderable until the new Annual Catalog goes live on May 4th, but here's the currently available supply list:

Stampin’ Up! Misty Butterfly Brilliance!

Hey there! Today I combined new Butterfly Brilliance stamps and dies with retiring Butterfly Wishes stamps to create this:

Using a monochromatic color combo of Misty Moonlight and Basic White, I stamped a Butterfly Brilliance butterfly with Misty Moonlight, cut with the largest Brilliant Wings die, then cut a vellum butterfly with a single Brilliant Wings die. I added a Seaside Spray Pastel Pearl to hide the glue dot I used to attach them together.

I embossed the Misty Moonlight layer with a Meadow Moments embossing folder (love the tiny embossed butterflies!) then added White Craft ink to highlight the embossing.

I breathed on the leftover Misty Moonlight ink on the image before stamping on the greeting strip. I stamped the Butterfly Wishes greeting with Misty Moonlight.

Inside I used another Butterfly Wishes sentiment. Sad to see Butterfly Wishes retire, but you can still order it today!

Basic White front layer: 4" x 5 1/4"

Stampin’ Up! Misty Butterfly Brilliance!
