Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance CASEing Myself!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you a card that I CASE'd (Copy And Selectively Edit) from myself! I was stamping up some leftover class kits when I decided to change the card a bit using most of the original supplies. I liked it so well I knew I needed to share it with you!

My original card on the left used the Butterfly Brilliance bundle of stamps and dies, Peaceful Moments and Dragonfly Garden stamps, and the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks with both White Craft and Balmy Blue Ink.

I kept the same basic layout and stamps for my CASE, but instead of using the mask and a Blending Brush, I stamped part of the Butterfly Brilliance background image with White Craft ink, then heat embossed with White Powder.

I added Elegant Gems to the butterfly bodies just like I did in the original.

Since I will be packaging most of these up to offer at my next Craft Fair, I decided to leave the inside free of any sentiment so they can be used for multiple occasions.

Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss Butterfly Brilliance!

Hey there! Today I have a couple of sympathy cards to share with you, created with the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. Sympathy cards are not my favorite to make, but I really am happy with the finished result of these two very similar cards:

I started by inking the Butterfly Brilliance stamp with Blackberry Bliss ink, then stamping once on scrap paper. I then breathed on the stamp to re-moisten the leftover ink and stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Very Vanilla. I then stamped over the butterflies with stamped-off-once Crumb Cake and the words image from Quiet Meadow.

I then cut the layer with a Scalloped Contours Die and then added Crumb Cake ink around the edges with a Blending Brush.

Finished card front with a strip of Blackberry Bliss Regals 6" x 6" Designer paper behind and a Blackberry Bliss die cut with a Meadow Die.

I cut out the "Thinking of You" with another Meadow die, Blending Brushed the edges, then mounted it over a piece of frayed 3/8" Fine Art ribbon.

Inside I stamped the same butterfly image for it's third stamping without re-inking, and stamped-off the Crumb Cake words twice before stamping each time. The sentiment is also from Quiet Meadow.

The second card is identical to the first, with the exception of adding Clear Wink of Stella to the largest butterfly. The moisture in the Wink of Stella changed the color of the butterfly just a little bit.

Stampin’ Up! Misty Butterfly Brilliance!

Hey there! Today I combined new Butterfly Brilliance stamps and dies with retiring Butterfly Wishes stamps to create this:

Using a monochromatic color combo of Misty Moonlight and Basic White, I stamped a Butterfly Brilliance butterfly with Misty Moonlight, cut with the largest Brilliant Wings die, then cut a vellum butterfly with a single Brilliant Wings die. I added a Seaside Spray Pastel Pearl to hide the glue dot I used to attach them together.

I embossed the Misty Moonlight layer with a Meadow Moments embossing folder (love the tiny embossed butterflies!) then added White Craft ink to highlight the embossing.

I breathed on the leftover Misty Moonlight ink on the image before stamping on the greeting strip. I stamped the Butterfly Wishes greeting with Misty Moonlight.

Inside I used another Butterfly Wishes sentiment. Sad to see Butterfly Wishes retire, but you can still order it today!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance!

Hey there! Today I have two cards I created with the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. Since I made them the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper has sold out and won't be restocked, but I wanted to share them anyway because you can make these with just about any other designer paper you have on hand.

This first card is a Vertical Easel fold. (It looks more complicated than it actually is.)

I stamped a sentiment from the now-retiring Fancy Phrases stamp set on the inside.

My second version is very similar to the first. It is a flat-front card with the same Butterfly Bijou Designer paper

I used a Stitched With Whimsy die to add the whimsical stitched trails around the Basic White square I mounted the Magenta Madness/Basic Black Butterfly. I added a single Matte Black Dot to the butterfly head.

Inside I stamped the same sentiment from Fancy Phrases as well as a few of the other butterflies from the set. I also stamped them on the envelope.
