Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop April Edition Think SPRING!!!

Hey there! It's time for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop April edition: Think Spring!

Where I live we've mostly had clouds, rain, cold, and gloominess, so I went through my stash and found my pack of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper. This print is soooooo spring-like!

Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper is retiring, as is the Wisteria Wonder Card stock, ink, and Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon.

The Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch ARE NOT retiring, although the bundle price savings will go away after May 31st. Clear Faceted Gems are staying in the Annual Catalog too!

Inside I stamped a Beautiful Bouquet sentiment, which is also staying.

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop September Color Challenge!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!

Our theme this month is a color challenge: Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, and Very Vanilla!

As soon as I saw these colors together, I knew it would be perfect to pair with the Painted Harvest stamp set. It's early in the Holiday Catalog season, but so far I've seen more Painted Harvest projects online than any other Holiday Catalog set!

I added Crushed Curry and Soft Suede to the color palette to add to the warmth of the three original colors.

I used sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet set. "Happy Birthday" fits nicely inside the Pretty Label Punch. I added a Fresh Fig Pretty Label that I cut in half to "stretch" behind the Fresh Fig-sponged greeting before adding it to the cards' belly-band.

As the card is opened the "shutter" starts to open to reveal the inside sentiment:

The farther you open the card, more of the sentiment is revealed:

I added a Gold Faceted Gem for a bit of sparkle!

Though probably not a card you would want to make a million of, it has its' place on the fireplace mantel!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop, June Edition, Celebrating the Men in Our Lives!

Hey there! The Stamper's Dozen Blog Hoppers are celebrating the men in our lives! I have one husband, three sons, three sons-in-law, and five grandsons, so I have lots to celebrate!

I have the One Wild Ride set, so I decided to make a pair of easel cards; a Father's Day, and a birthday card:

I decided to go "old school": no Big Shot or embossing; just stamping and punches. I fussy-cut the motorcycle after stamping with Basic Black Archival ink on a Silver Foil Sheet. Since we no longer have StazOn ink, using Basic Black on something as non-porous as Silver Foil only requires a bit of heating, mostly blowing, with a Heat Tool to dry. I layered onto Basic Black card stock, then fussy-cut again before adhering with dimensionals.

I used the Classic Label punch on the Teeny Tiny Wishes greeting, and fussy-cut the "Route 66" sign.

I used the Best Badge to create the "easel stop". I added silver Metallic Enamel Shapes for a bit of sparkle.

I stamped the inside with One Wild Ride images:

I turned the easel on its' side for the birthday card:

I combined Best Badge and Classic Label punches for the greeting:

I punched the "Route 66" signs with the 3/4" Circle punch and matted with a Basic Black 1" Circle.

Inside I stamped-off a Smoky Slate motorcycle behind a Basic Black Special Celebrations sentiment.
