Hey there! Well, yesterday family took priority over stamping! Usually after Christmas or New Year's we start getting sick with sniffles or flu. Troy came down with flu on Sunday and Mark started a bad cold on Monday. Yesterday I needed to run several errands to deliver and acquire meds, food, and supplies for both. Consequently, blogging did not happen, the very first day of the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration!

Today I'm sharing a card we made at my Stampin' in the New Year class, created by Tamie Ackerso and finished on the inside by me. We used Birthday Blooms, Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, and Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon:

The greeting is from Birthday Blooms, stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.

I inked the largest bloom with Blushing Bride ink first, then applied Mossy Meadow marker directly on top of the Blushing Bride ink on the leaves. I "huffed" the ink before stamping in case some of it had dried while adding the Mossy Meadow.

Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love!

Hey there! One of my goals this year is consistency, and second is to not let my stamping business run my life. I LOVE stamping, LOVE my stamping friends, and I LOVE blogging, but sometimes it displaces my family life. You know how it is when you are trying to "do it all". Whoever coined that phrase was either on something or just lying to themselves. NO ONE can "do it all". Believe me, I've tried. Something (or someone) has to suffer, and I've come to realize that life is too short to be stressed. So if, and inevitably when, I miss a day (or two or three) of blogging, rest assured I have not given up!

Today I have another card from my Stampin' in the New Year class. I took a monthly swap and converted it. I LOVED the outside and didn't change a thing! In the process of converting it to a card I've lost track of the creator. Either Lorraine Duran or Kathy Johnson  used Bloomin' Love and Bloomin' Heart Thinlet Dies:

The Pink Pirouette background is subtly stamped with Versamark for a soft, elegant feel.

The creator added a lovely mix of flowers, pearls, banner, and a Linen Thread bow.

I turned this somewhat Valentine-y card into a friend birthday card by using a phrase from the new Suite Saying set in the Occasions catalog. I punched the corners with the returning Curvy Corner Trio Punch:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's about time we had a Sunday Swap Day, don't you think? I still have some samples from the November Monthly swap that I was saving to show you!

This first sample does not have a name on it. I'm not sure if it came that way or if I somehow lost it, but regardless, it's a lovely masculine swap created with the Hearth & Home framelits (which will still be available to order from the new Occasions Catalog!) and The Open Sea stamp set:

The creator made her own textured very vanilla background by scoring lines with her Simply Scored Tool. The "happy birthday" is from And Many More.

Next, Karen Kurz created a free-standing pop-up card using the same Hearth & Home Thinlets (which will still be available in the Occasions Catalog) with the Happy Scenes set (which IS RETIRING on January 4th)

Rhonda Bassler also used Hearth & Home thinlets and Happy Scene stamps. She used the Woodland Textured Impressions Folder, a Holiday favorite that, although not available to order right now, will be available again in the new Annual Catalog that starts June 1, 2016! "Thinking of You" is from the ever-popular Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Hey there! Today I have another card for you, which is also a card we will be making in the January Online Class! I played with the A Nice Cuppa stamp set and Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack:

When I found that the Cups & Kettle Framelit Die for the teapot cut the top separate from the body, I knew I had to make it "speak"! I used the birthday phrase from Sunburst Sayings, punched with the Sweetheart Punch. I added little hearts from the Hearts Border punch for the "steam trail".

I couldn't resist cutting my teapot from a piece of the adorable Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack. How cute are those little teapots????? I embossed the Bermuda Bay background with the Happy Hearts folder. It's not just for Valentine's Day, you know?!

A Tea Lace Doily folded over makes a great tablecloth. I added a bow tied with Melon Mambo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon just for another pop of pink!

Hey there and Happy New Year! Today's card is one we'll be making at my Stampin' In The New Year Class today and tomorrow AND it is also one of the January Online Class Cards! yay!

I used the Party Pop Up Thinlets Dies with the Party Wishes stamp set,  Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Memento Tuxedo Black ink with Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, and the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.

After cutting out the Happy Birthday with with Party Pop Up Thinlet Die I cut it free with my paper snips and then adhered to the Confetti Textured Impressions-embossed white layer with a Fine Tip Glue Pen. I added Gold Wink of Stella to the candle flames.

I punched It's My Party Designer Paper with the Balloon Bouquet punch and one of the new Party Punch Pack punches. I finished the inside with more Party Wishes images and lined the envelope with It's My Party Designer Paper.
