Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Yay!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Yay!

Hey there! FINALLY, a Sunday Swap Day! yay!

First a card created with the Sale-a-bration set, Honeycomb Happiness! Sometimes I get a card in my swap with no creator information. This little fellow was stamped on a yellow print of  Botanical Gardens Designer Paper, cut out, then added over a stamped chick on a white oval.  Another design from the same paper pack ads interest and the greeting,"OH, HELLO" from Honeycomb Happiness is highlighted by a Pool Party flower cut with a Botanical Builder die.

Next, Karen Kurz stamped the little chick on Watercolor Paper, then colored with an AquaPainter. The Softly Falling folder and strips of Love Blossoms and Blushing Bride Glimmer paper make a fun background.

Up close you can see that Karen added shimmer to her chickie with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush:

Carol Slack used her punches to make a happy little Easter Bunny. She used the greeting from Easter Lamb, flowers cut with the Rose Garden and Blooming Heart Dies, and embossed the background with the Boho Chic folder:

Amy Combs used a favorite Sale-a-bration set, Flowering Fields, with Sale-a-bration Wildflower Fields Designer Paper for her bright and cheery creation:

Cindy Ewertz also used Flowering Fields and Wildflower Fields paper, but she chose softer colors for a completely different look!

Finally, Dena Tarkowski used varying shades of Night of Navy with Whisper White for her clean-and-simple creation:

Stampin’ Up! Easter Lamb!

Stampin’ Up! Easter Lamb!

Hey there! Aren't you glad it's Friday? I sure am! I'm looking forward to some time tomorrow to STAMP! Besides spending time with my husband, kids and grandbabies, my next favorite thing is playing with my stamps!

Today's card is created with the adorable wood-mount Easter Lamb! I can see using  little lamb-y for baby cards too, so I cut the stamp apart, putting the lamb on one side of the  block, and "happy easter" on an end.

Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps_1 - Copy

I decided to feature "lamb-y" on an easel card. Easy to make with great visual appeal!

Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps_2 - Copy

I used a bunch of the Ovals Collection Framelits, piercing the largest Blushing Bride scallop oval with my Paper-Piercing Tool and embossing the inner Blushing Bride oval with the Fluttering Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps_3 - Copy

ADDED BONUS!!!! The Fringe Scissors creating the "grass" are on sale in the Weekly Deals! YAY!

I punched tiny Blushing Bride flowers with the Tree Builder Punch, and after smooshing them into the Stampin' Pierce Mat with the end of my Paper-Piercing Tool I dotted the centers with my White Gel Pen. I also filled in the larger "fluffs" on the Blushing Bride lamb's wool with the same pen.

Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps_4 - Copy

I stamped "happy easter" with Soft Suede ink, punched with the Washi Label, then adding over a Blushing Bride scallop circle, also pierced in each scallop.

Stampin_up_easter_lamb_carolpaynestamps_5 - Copy

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Suite Sayings and cut with another Ovals  framelit.

Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher for My Friend!

Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher for My Friend!

Hey there! This morning I have a card I created a couple of weeks ago using the Pedal Pusher Sale-a-bration set with a design from the Schoolhouse Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_pedal_pusher_carolpaynestamps_1 - Copy

The bicycle image from Pedal Pusher coordinates wonderfully with the bicycle design from  the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper. I used some of  the colors in this design; Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango to guide my color choices for the bicycle, birds, and flowers.

Stampin_up_pedal_pusher_carolpaynestamps_2 - Copy

Inside I used images from the Sheltering Tree set because it has the tiny little baby bicycle that coordinates too!

The greeting and main sentiment on the front and inside are both from Pedal Pusher. "MY FRIEND" is from the now-retired Sale-a-bration set, Hello.

Stampin’ Up! Guy Greetings is So Vintage!

Stampin’ Up! Guy Greetings is So Vintage!

Hey there! Today I have the  second card we made at the Mt Vernon Library Class on Saturday using the Guy Greetings and That Thing You Did sets:

Stampin_up_that_thing_you_did_1_carolpaynestamps - Copy
We used Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes to make prep for these cards a snap!

We stamped the car on a Crumb Cake layer before embossing with the Woodgrain folder.

Stampin_up_that_thing_you_did_2_carolpaynestamps - Copy

It was easy to combine these two sets! Just as easy as corner-rounding the greeting layer with the Envelope Punch Board!

Stampin_up_that_thing_you_did_3_carolpaynestamps - Copy

Nearly mono-chromatic stamping and sponging with Crumb Cake ink makes this card both vintage and masculine.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms Chalkboard!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms Chalkboard!

Hey there! This morning I'm on my way to help my photographer daughter's house to get her tax nfo ready for her tax lady. We do this once a year, and it takes all day, but it's one of the rare days of the year we get to spend the whole day together so I love it!

Today I"m sharing another card created for my #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp-a-stack but didn't make the cut. I used the chalkboard technique with Birthday Blooms stamps and Timeless Elegance Designer Paper:
Stampin_up_birthday_blooms_1_carolpaynestamps - Copy

I started with a Lost Lagoon card base, a layer of Basic Gray, then a layer of  Timeless Elegance Designer Paper softly sponged with Soft Sky ink using a Sponge Dauber.

Stampin_up_birthday_blooms_2_carolpaynestamps - Copy

The reason this card didn't make "the cut" for my class is probably obvious. After I heat-embossed the blooms on Basic Black with white powder, I gently sponged the blooms only with White Craft ink for the "chalkboard" look. I "fancy cut" with my Paper Snips (aka fussy cut) the blooms.

Stampin_up_birthday_blooms_3_carolpaynestamps - Copy

I layered Venetian Crochet Trim over Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, and added a white-heat-embossed greeting from Birthday Blooms punched with the Washi Label Punch.

Stampin_up_birthday_blooms_4_carolpaynestamps - Copy

Inside I punched the Very Vanilla corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch and stamped the bloom again with Soft Sky ink.
