Karen Kurz combined the Happy Hedgehogs Bundle with Picture This dies for her cute card design. Both the Hedgehogs and the dies will be carrying over to the new catalog!

Janace Charbonneau also used the Happy Hedgehogs bundle of stamps and punch. She used a pretty heart print from the Pattern Party Host 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper Pack, which is retiring for good on May 2nd.

Stampin’ Up! Fresh Freesia Nature’s Harvest!

Stampin’ Up! Fresh Freesia Nature’s Harvest!

Hey there! Today's card is sooo pretty! I found a layout I loved and adapted it to use with the Nature's Harvest and Dragonfly Garden stamp sets!

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps1

I created my own "designer paper" by heat embossing the flower spray with clear powder on a 1" x 5 1/4" strip of Basic White, then using a Blending Brush to apply  Fresh Freesia ink over it. The clear embossing resists the ink, creating this pretty look!

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the cone flowers with Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Fresh Freesia and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the centers of the flowers to add some shimmer.

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps3

I colored a strip of Fresh Freesia card stock with a Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend to get a darker version to put behind the circle with the cone flowers. I heat embossed a greeting from Dragonfly Garden on a 1/2" strip of Fresh Freesia, then cut one end into banner points with Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps4

I tied the ribbon in a bow and then added with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps5

On the inside I used the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend to add a darker edge to a 4" x 5 1/4" Fresh Freesia layer, then added the 3 3/4" x 5" white sentiment layer.

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps10

I stamped the inside with another Dragonfly Garden sentiment, and added Dragonfly Garden butterflies/dragonflies with Fresh Freesia ink. I did the emboss resist technique on the envelope flap as well.

Stampin_up_freesia_natures_harvest_carolpaynestamps6

I added a bit of Fresh Freesia ink over the stamped cone flower and added a few more Fresh Freesia butterflies.

Stampin’ Up! Revised Daisy Garden Cards!

Stampin’ Up! Revised Daisy Garden Cards!

Hey there! With stamp sets from the Last Chance Retiring List flying off the selves I am having to make revisions to some of the cards I'm prepping for my April classes, which is why I am sharing these two cards with you today.

My original post of this Daisy Garden card was created with Sunny Sentiments for the greeting and the Everyday Label Punch to cut it out. Sunny Sentiments is now sold out from the Last Chance Retiring List and the Everyday Label Punch is on the list and may go out any day, so I switched to the Flowering Tulips stamp set and Layering Circle Dies to create these two different themed cards.

Stampin_up_daisy_garden_revised_carolpaynestamps1

I highly recommend the Stamparatus for stamping the large background stamps such as Daisy Garden! The Stamparatus allows for re-inking and repeat stamping in the exact same spot to get a dark even coverage. After stamping Daisy Garden with Pacific Point ink I colored the stems with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends marker, then added Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers. The wink "moves" the Pacific Point ink, giving a darker ink look to the centers in addition to the shimmer. I simply cut the greeting with a Layering Circle die, then cut a larger circle mat with the next-size-larger circle die. I added the white bow with a glue dot and a few rhinestones for sparkle.

Stampin_up_daisy_garden_revised_carolpaynestamps2

This birthday greeting is also from Flowering Tulips. Flowering Tulips is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog!

Stampin_up_daisy_garden_revised_carolpaynestamps3

I've been dying for a reason to use this circular "thank you" stamp included in the Flowering Tulips set! I cut it with the same size Layering Circle dies as on the first card. For this card I colored the leaves and stems with the Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends Marker. Which one do you like best?

Stampin_up_daisy_garden_revised_carolpaynestamps4

This "love you so much" sentiment is also found in Flowering Tulips!

Stampin’ Up! Magenta Madness Flowers of Friendship!

Stampin’ Up! Magenta Madness Flowers of Friendship!

Hey there! Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you that I created with the Flowers of Friendship stamp set and Abstract Beauty 4" x  6" Designer Paper. Flowers of Friendship is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog, which debuts for you on May 3rd. Abstract Beauty Designer Paper is from the Jan/June Mini Catalog and is only available till June 30th, or while supplies last.

I used Magenta Madness card stock and ink, which is a retiring In Color. As of this blog post writing neither one had sold out yet, but I am crossing off items from my master list every day, so anything on the Last Chance Retiring List that you are wanting you had better place your order ASAP because especially the retiring In Color products won't last much longer!

Stampin_up_abstract_beauty_flowers_of_friendship_carolpaynestamps1

The Abstract Beauty designer paper in the background is cut 3" x 4 for the bottom floral layer, and the top layer is 2 1/4" x 4. The top layer is the flip side of the bottom layer. After stamping the blossom spray on a 2" x 4" Basic White rectangle with Tuxedo Black ink, I colored the blooms with a Blender Pen and the ink from the squeezed lid of the Magenta Madness ink pad. I colored the leaves with the same Blender Pen (after cleaning the tip with a few swipes on scrap paper) and Just Jade ink, which is another retiring In Color. I adhered the colored layer to a 2 1/8" x 4 1/8" mat of Magenta Madness card stock. I adhered it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals after tying 8 inches of White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon in a knot around both layers. I added retiring 2021-2023 In Color Jewels for some sparkle.

Stampin_up_abstract_beauty_flowers_of_friendship_carolpaynestamps2

Before adhering the matted layer to the front I also stamped a greeting from Flowers of Friendship with black ink.

Stampin_up_abstract_beauty_flowers_of_friendship_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I stamped another Flowers of Friendship sentiment with black ink and lines of tiny blooms from the same set with Magenta Madness ink.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Quiet Meadow Dragonfly Collage!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Quiet Meadow Dragonfly Collage!

Hey there! Last night I played with a couple of current sets that are not retiring to create today's card. Products, especially stamp sets, are flying off the shelves and selling out daily, so I've decided to try to make most of my cards moving forward with current and carrying-over supplies to avoid tempting you with products you can't order anymore.

I used the Quiet Meadow and Dragonfly Garden stamp set to create this collage card with a color palette of Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, and Pear Pizzazz.

Stampin_up_quiet_meadow_collage_carolpaynestamps1

I used a combination of stamping with full-strength ink and stamping off once or twice on scrap paper before stamping on the very vanilla paper. I did add a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the tops of the cone flowers for a bit of shimmer.

Stampin_up_quiet_meadow_collage_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding with one of the smudge stamps from the Nature's Harvest stamp set.

Stampin_up_quiet_meadow_collage_carolpaynestamps3

I cut the length of ribbon I needed (about 14 inches) then quickly stamped the ribbon with Blackberry Bliss ink. It was dry in minutes and ready to wrap around the bottom edge of the card and to tie in a bow. I secured the knot with a glue dot and added another glue dot to the middle of the ribbon on the back side to keep it from sliding off the end.

Stampin_up_quiet_meadow_collage_carolpaynestamps6

Inside I used a Dragonfly Garden sentiment with more stamping-off Pear Pizzazz stamping and ink blending with Pear Pizzazz and a Blending Brush.

I used a combination of stamping with full-strength ink and stamping off once or twice on scrap paper before stamping on the very vanilla paper. I did add a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the tops of the cone flowers for a bit of shimmer.

I stamped the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding with one of the smudge stamps from the Nature's Harvest stamp set.

Inside I used a Dragonfly Garden sentiment with more stamping-off Pear Pizzazz stamping and ink blending with Pear Pizzazz and a Blending Brush.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful!

Hey there! Today I have a fun card to share that I CASED from Australian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Gail Ellis. I found her card on Pinterest, and fell so in love with it that I pretty much copied it exactly the way she made it!

We used the Hello Beautiful Bundle with retiring Hand-Penned Designer Paper, Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, and Genial Gems!

To stamp the greeting in the small hexagon opening, I traced the shape lightly with a pencil before stamping the phrase from Hello Beautiful. After stamping I erased the pencil lines.

After prepping the front layer, I used a LOT of dimensionals to keep the area around the greeting from collapsing.

I tied a tiny bow with Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon and secured with a glue dot. I added a sprinkle of Genial Gems around the card front for some sparkle.

I adhered the designer paper and Basic White hexagons with liquid glue, trimming the excess from the edge of the layer with Paper Snips.

I used a smaller pair of hexagons to cut more designer paper for the inside to complement the sentiment I stamped from Hello Beautiful.

I glued some of the hexagons over the card fold and then closed the card so the entire design will be visible when you open it.
