Stampin’ Up! Masked Happy Hedgehogs!

Hey there! Today's card has a bit of a technique with it. I used the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set, without the hedgehog, and the Peaceful Moments stamp set to create this card with a masked section in the middle!

I started by laying down a piece of Post-it Tape across the Very Vanilla layer so I could stamp along the top and bottom edges but leave the center empty. I lined up the edges of the layer with the squares on my grid sheet, then laid the Post-It Tape across, using the lines of the squares to keep the tape straight. I was able to stamp the flower spray, the toadstool, and the butterfly, letting the stamping overlap the tape a bit without inking the middle.

I colored the toadstool with the nib tip of the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend, then colored the flounce below it with the Light Poppy Parade. I colored the flowers with a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend and the flower centers with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.

I stamped a greeting from Peaceful Moments in the center with Tuxedo Black ink. I added a few rhinestones for some sparkle, otherwise this would have been a completely flat card!

Inside I used another Peaceful Moments sentiment, then stamped the other images from the front with the same inks but left them uncolored.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day April 10!

Hey there! Today I have a fun collection of cards to share with you for Sunday Swap Day!

First, this adorable card from Linda Pagel was created with the retired and sold-out stamp set, Back On Your Feet! The Stitched With Whimsy dies used on the white layers are carrying over to the next new catalog.

This is a cool fun-fold I will definitely be trying soon!

Karen Kurz combined the Happy Hedgehogs Bundle with Picture This dies for her cute card design. Both the Hedgehogs and the dies will be carrying over to the new catalog!

Janace Charbonneau also used the Happy Hedgehogs bundle of stamps and punch. She used a pretty heart print from the Pattern Party Host 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper Pack, which is retiring for good on May 2nd.

Jan Farring also combined Happy Hedgehogs with Pattern Party Host 12 x 12 Designer Paper for her bright and cheery card!

Kathy Morgan combined Happy Hedgehogs, Flowering Rain Boots Bundle, Scalloped Contours Dies, and the Stitched Greenery Die for her card.

Lastly, Ruth Bingle used the Party Puffins stamp set, Gingham Embossing Folder, Artistry Blooms Sequins (retiring), Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (retiring), and the Detailed Trio Punch for her fun birthday card.

She added a simple little pop-out inside!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs!

Hey there! Today I have a little card I created “just because” that turned out to be my monthly swap! They are going in the P.O. today, and in about two weeks I will get back a package containing 20 different swaps! It’s a lot of fun and I get a lot of great ideas to share on my Sunday Swap Day blog post, and sometimes I adapt them for my card-of-the-month or even for class cards!

Today’s card was created with the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set. There’s a hedgehog builder punch that coordinates with this set, but I didn’t use it for today’s card.

I stamped the hedgehog and butterfly on plain Basic White card stock, then left it plain after cutting with a Layering Circles die before adhering to the layer embossed with the Pretty Flowers folder.

I colored the body of the hedgehog with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker, and the butterfly with a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I added touches of Wink of Stella to the butterfly wings for a bit of sparkle.

I stamped a greeting from Celebrating You (Jan/June Mini Catalog) with Bermuda Bay ink before embossing with the Pretty Flowers folder.

I finished off the inside with another sentiment from Celebrating You and the birdie from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs!

Hey there! I'm just getting started with the new Happy Hedgehogs bundle! For today's card I paired it with the Medium Daisy Punch, Strawberry Builder Punch, Banners Pick-a-Punch, and the Stitched Greenery Die!

This sentiment from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set is so sweet! I punched the ends of the white greeting strip with the Banners Pick-a-Punch and added a Brushed Brass Butterfly!

I punched two Medium Daisies to layer together with a glue dot in the middle, then punched Daffodil Delight with the bloom part of the Strawberry Builder Punch for the center. I added a Matte Black Dot to make the daisy pop!

I stamped Poppy Parade blooms with an image from the Hello Ladybug stamp set, then punched them with the same bloom from the Strawberry Builder Punch! I added a white Classic Matte Dot to these centers.

I stamped the hedgehog with Early Espresso ink on Kraft card stock (#156325 carried over from the Holiday catalog), punched with the Hedgehog Builder punch, then punched his fur from Early Espresso with the same punch. I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder before adhering together with stampin' dimensionals.

Inside I used another sentiment from Happy Hedgehogs and stamped the mushroom (or is it a toadstool?) with Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz ink.
