Hey there! Today is our family's gathering for Easter at our house. I am very thankful that this year I am able to host. Last year I was still fragile-but-recovering from my post-covid anxiety attacks so we gathered at my daughter, Alisa's house. I am also very thankful for modern medicines that have helped me in my recovery.

Stampin’ Up! Revised Daisy Garden Cards!

Stampin’ Up! Revised Daisy Garden Cards!

Hey there! With stamp sets from the Last Chance Retiring List flying off the selves I am having to make revisions to some of the cards I'm prepping for my April classes, which is why I am sharing these two cards with you today.

My original post of this Daisy Garden card was created with Sunny Sentiments for the greeting and the Everyday Label Punch to cut it out. Sunny Sentiments is now sold out from the Last Chance Retiring List and the Everyday Label Punch is on the list and may go out any day, so I switched to the Flowering Tulips stamp set and Layering Circle Dies to create these two different themed cards.

I highly recommend the Stamparatus for stamping the large background stamps such as Daisy Garden! The Stamparatus allows for re-inking and repeat stamping in the exact same spot to get a dark even coverage. After stamping Daisy Garden with Pacific Point ink I colored the stems with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends marker, then added Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers. The wink "moves" the Pacific Point ink, giving a darker ink look to the centers in addition to the shimmer. I simply cut the greeting with a Layering Circle die, then cut a larger circle mat with the next-size-larger circle die. I added the white bow with a glue dot and a few rhinestones for sparkle.

This birthday greeting is also from Flowering Tulips. Flowering Tulips is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog!

I've been dying for a reason to use this circular "thank you" stamp included in the Flowering Tulips set! I cut it with the same size Layering Circle dies as on the first card. For this card I colored the leaves and stems with the Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends Marker. Which one do you like best?

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Fields Pocket Card!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Fields Pocket Card!

Hey there! Today I have a fun pocket card to share with you. One of my stamping friends, Donna, mentioned she would like to make one of these some time soon, so I sat down and created this one in just a very short amount of time!

I started by deciding I wanted to use the Flowering Fields Designer Paper along with the Celebrating You stamp set, all from the Jan/June Mini Catalog. I found a swap I had received a couple of months ago with the pocket card fold, so I had a prototype to go on. I used completely different colors, designer paper, ribbon, sentiments, images, punches (with the exception of the Detailed Trio Punch used to round the corners), and embellishments.

I stamped the greeting from Celebrating You, then punched it three times with the Tailored Tag Punch. The second and third times I used a Post-It Note to hold and guide it into the punch for perfect placement. I used Pool Party Holiday Rhinestones for accent.

The pocket is held together entirely with the Playful Pets red-and-white-stitched ribbon. I punched the Flowering Fields designer paper with the Tailored Tag, folded it in half over the top of the pull-out layer, then pierced two holes to thread the ribbon before tying in a knot. I used a dental floss threader to pull the ribbon through the tiny pierced holes.

 I finished off the pull-out layer with another sentiment from Celebrating You, as well as tulips from the Flowering Tulips set.

Stampin’ Up! Tulip Fields!

Hey there! Today I have one more book-binding fold card to share with you (at least for now!). I created this one with the Tulip Fields Bundle from the January-June Mini Catalog!

I stamped the windmill with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake card stock, then cut with a Windmill Fields die. I adhered the the Gingham-embossed background with mini stampin’ dimensionsla.

I used one of my favorite birthday greetings, from the Flowering Tulips stamp set, stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink. I stamped the greeting before embossing with the Gingham folder. I accented with a Pastel Pearl and cut Soft Succulent card stock with the adorable bike die from the Windmill Fields dies. I adhered it with tiny dots of liquid glue.

This Flowering Tulips sentiment works for so many different occasions! I added a 1/4″ strip of the Flowering Fields designer paper to match the 3/4″ wide strip on the book-binding are of the card front.

Hey there! Yesterday I had a great time stamping with a group of women at Margaret Frazier’s house in Salem, IL, which is why I was unable to post yesterday. I have been having a few small group stamping events over the past couple of years, but this one was attended by 9 ladies, which was soooo nice!

The card I’m sharing today we didn’t get to make at the class, but I will be sharing the card we made like it here on Monday. Today’s card was created with the Art Gallery Bundle, which is on sale this month for 20% off, and one of my favorite In Colors, Fresh Freesia. I also used the book-binding fold that I have recently discovered and am currently loving!

I stamped the stems with Soft Succulent ink directly on the white layer before embossing with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder. I cleaned the stamp and then stamped with Fresh Freesia on a white scrap before cutting with the matching Floral Gallery die. I popped the blooms over the stamped ones with dimensionals.

This greeting, stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, is from the Flowering Tulips stamp set. I embellished the card front with a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Inside I used another phrase from Flowering Tulips. I stamped the blooms again with Fresh Freesia.
