Stampin’Up! Another Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card!

Stampin’Up! Another Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card!

Hey there. Had a busy day today, but most of it was non-stamping related, so I will just cut right to it and show you my card:

Stampin_up_hardwood_chevron_lattice_1

Another Scalloped Tag Topper card closure, this time using the Hardwood Background stamp and a greeting from Petite Pairs, punched with the Ticket Duo Punch! You can see the lattice much better on this card than the one yesterday because I used one of the flower punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack!

Stamin_up_hardwooe_chevron_lattice_2

Inside I recycled the Crumb Cake ink on the Hardwood stamp by breathing on it to remoisten the ink and then lightly pressing the Very Vanilla layer on it to just get a faint image. Stamped inside is the companion phrase from Petite Pairs.

I am really lovin' coordinating my envelopes with the Envelope Liner Framelit Dies! It just give it all such an elegant look!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Eggstra Spectacular!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Eggstra Spectacular!

Hey there. With Easter fast approaching (only a little over a month away!), I thought I had better share these two swaps I received in February using the Eggstra Spectacular stamp set from the Occasions Catalog:

Stampin_up_eggstra_spectacular_laura_milligan

Laura Milligan used the Chevron Textured Impressions Folder to add a look of "hopping" to coordinate with the "hoppy easter" bunny stamp. She added a little peek of tea lace doily to the tag she created with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, grass cut with the fringe scissors, and a little "pom" purchased from a craft department for the bunny tail. A tiny Pink Pirouette butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, a piece of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and a bow of White Baker's Twin finish this card off perfectly!

Stampin_up_eggstra_spectacular_tammyackerson

Tammy Ackerson used Strawberry Slush cardstock and Designer Paper with a White Tea Lace Doily to create the perfect background for the little "hoppy easter" bunny on this card. A Pearl Basic Jewel serves as this bunny's tail!

Well, that's all for now. Quick and cute today!

Here's your supply list when you go to my Online Store to shop:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Sale-a-bration!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Sale-a-bration!

Hey there! As I am typing this a big "winter storm" is supposed to be on its' way: sleet, snow, freezing rain, and ice. It hasn't started yet, but everyone has "battened down the hatches" in readiness!

I received a new batch of monthly swaps this week, so I have a treat for all of us today, swaps using freebies from the Sale-a-bration brochure! Let's get started!

Stampin_up_barb_dykhouse

First, a scalloped tag topper-closure card from Barb Dykhouse. Barb used Sweet Sorbet Sale-a-bration paper, Petal Parade Sale-a-bration stamps, the Blossom Punch, and Gold Baker's Twine!

Stampin_up_see_ya_later_kellyacheson

Kelly Acheson used the See Ya Later Sale-a-bration stamp set with the Arrows Textured Impressions Folder, Banners Framelits, Owl Builder Punch heart, and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch to create a miniature version of the alligator I made for Cohen's birthday card! Just like I did, Kelly used the Sale-a-bration Decorative Dots Folder to emboss the alligator snout! Stampin_up_petal_parade_jackieordway
Jackie Ordway used Sweet Sorbet SAB designer paper and the Petal Parade stamp set for her creation!

Stampin_up_starburst_sayings_dawnklein

Dawm Klein united Sweet Sorbet paper, Decorative Dots folder, Floral Frames Framelit Dies, Starburst Sayings stamps, Gorgeous Grunge stamps, 1" Circle Punch, Pansy Punch, and the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack for her stunning creation!

Stampin'_up_petal_parade_ruth_bingle

Last but definitely not least, Ruth Bingle used the Petal Parade SAB stamp set with the Triple Time stamping technique to create this easy-but-impressive card! The greeting is from Sassy Salutations and the colors are Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, & Whisper White.

That's all for now. You can shop to your heart's content for any of the supplies to make these cards by going to My Online Store. For every $50 your order you will be able to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure. When you order $150, you will choose three free SAB items AND you will get to choose $25 more product for free!

Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Scallop Tag Topper Punch Card Closure!

Stampin’ Up! Scallop Tag Topper Punch Card Closure!

Hey there! I've had one of those rare days when I was able to stamp and play all day! I didn't even get out of my jammies! yay!

I completed 4 new cards, and have a fifth one almost done, but I took a break to take pics of the completed ones and get this blog post up!

I will be eeking these out to you over the next few days! Here's the first one using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch to create a unique and fancy card closure:

Stampin_up_scallop_tag_topper_2

When I first saw this card online, I thought the Scalloped Tag Topper ends were actually the ends of a belly-band wrapped around the card, but closer inspection reveals they are punched into the edges of the card and then the excess on each side are cut away with the Paper Trimmer! Such a NEAT idea! This card also doesn't require any more than the standard card base dimensions of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"!

Stampin_up_scallop_tag_topper_3

I used a stamp from my sadly neglected A Round Array for the greeting set amongst the Pool Party/Petite Petals-punched flowers.

Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon and Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding blend perfectly with the Baked Brown Sugar in the Fresh Prints Designer Paper and the Coastal Cabans flowers.

Stampin_up_scallop_tag_topper_4

A close-up of the closure.

Stampin_up_scallop_tag_topper_5 - Copy

The inside is stamped with one of the stamps from the Sale-a-bration See Ya Later. I used some of my painter's tape to mask off the cloud and the sun when I inked it with Baked Brown Sugar ink, then removed the tape before stamping.

This card could be for several different occasions, but I decided to make it a birthday card with a single phrase from Petite Pairs!

That's all for now. Here's the supply list for your shopping in MY ONLINE STORE:

Peite Petals stamps/punch Bundle: #134821 wood-mount $24.50, #134822 clear-mount $21.25

A Round Array: #129087 wood-mount $18.95, #129090 clear-mount $14.95

Scalloped Tag Topper Punch: #133324 $22.95

Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack: #132996 $6.95

Naturals White 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock: #102316 $7.50

Pool Party 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock: #122924 $6.95

Whisper White 8 1/2" x 11 cardstock: #100730 $8.50

Coastal Cabana inkpad: #131175 $5.95

Baked Brown Sugar inkpad: #131174 $5.95

Stampin’Up! Monster Hug & Word Bubble Valentines for My Grandkids!

Stampin’Up! Monster Hug & Word Bubble Valentines for My Grandkids!

Hey there! A couple of days ago I went to Jessica's to make valentines with my grandkids. I started this tradition when Maddie Kate was in kindergarten. She's in 7th grade now, so that's makes 8 years of valentines! I wish I had taken pictures of our first ones, but oh, well, here's this years' installment:

Stampin_up_monster_hugs_1

In past years we've spent a lot of hours making quite elaborate valentines, but since this year I knew I might be more pressed for time with all the commitments I have, I decided to go easy. Ava said, "Wow, Grammie, these are alot easier than last year!" I asked if she still liked them and she said "OH YES!" (guess easy can sometimes be just as good or better?)

For both Ava (in 3rd grade) and Cohen (in kindergarten) I opted for the "Monster Hugs" valentines we still have available on the "Whole Lot of Love" flyer:

Stampin_up_monster_hugs_4

Ava was able to assemble these adorable little "monsters" all by herself, signing the "to: from:" area on the monsters' little bum, removing the protective cover on the adhesive area on the front and adhering the candy, adding the single googlie eye, and then attaching the arms together with the slits just above the monster hands!

Stampin_up_monster_hugs_5

Cohen needed a little bit more help, but he managed signing his name to the backside, adhering the candy, and adding the googlie eye. The googlie eye was his favorite part!

Stampin_up_monster_hugs_2

Stampin_up_monster_hugs_3

I brought Nerds, Bottlecaps, and Laffy Taffy for the monsters to "hug"!

Stampin_up_word_bubble_valentines

Maddie Kate's were pretty simple too. A strip of Fresh Prints Designer Paper punched on both ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (my FAVORITE new tool in the Occasions Catalog!), then scored in the middle to create the flat area to attach the candy (chocolate, of course!). We tied to ends together with Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, then added the valentine greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes, cut with a Word Bubble Framelit and mounted on a 1 3/4" Pool Party Scallop Circle. We added just a bit of bling with a Silver Glimmer circle!

Just so you know, I had Jessica take these pictures with her fabulous camera! (I'm still learning how to use mine, but I will get better!)

My hubby came along on this trip, so Jessica fixed us a yummy supper before we headed home. Good times!

That's all for today. You can still order the Monster Hugs (for your little munchkins or grandbabies next year!). Just go to my Online Store by clicking HERE.
