Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Wishes!

Hey there! Today I have a clean-an-simple (for me) card with the new Butterfly Wishes set and the gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Paper!

The Perennial Essence Designer Paper colors are Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Petal Pink, So Saffron, and Whisper White. Quite a long list, but I felt that none of those colors really do this print justice, so I pulled out my new Pretty Peacock card stock pack and ink pad and they matched perfect!

Stampin_up_butterfly_wishes_carolpaynestamps1

The butterfly images in this set are from the new patent-pending Distinktive line. Just look at the depth and detail of this butterfly, stamped with Pretty Peacock! After stamping the greeting with Blackberry Bliss and sponging the edges with Pretty Peacock, I added a single 2019/2021 In Color Faceted Dot. I love the color coordination Stampin' Up! provides!

Stampin_up_butterfly_wishes_carolpaynestamps2

I actually tried this combination too; stamping the butterfly with Blackberry Bliss and the greeting with Pretty Peacock. Which one do you like best?

Stampin_up_butterfly_wishes_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used more Butterfly Wishes images and sentiments.

Stampin_up_butterfly_wishes_carolpaynestamps3

I used a sponge dauber to gently add just a touch of Pretty Peacock to the white layer.

Stampin’ Up! One Wild Ride is Retiring!

Stampin’ Up! One Wild Ride is Retiring!

Hey there! This year's Retiring List is taking several sets that I just haven't stamped with enough, which means I either don't get to stamp often enough or I buy too many sets! Surely it's the former and not the latter! lol!

The card I have for you today with the One Wild Ride set one I haven't used enough. I love the motorcycle in this set, it's so masculine and grungy. I paired it with Retiring Classic Garage Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_one_wild_ride_carolpaynestamps1

I used a new fun-fold, the Corner Tuck:

Stampin_up_one_wild_ride_carolpaynestamps2

I embossed the corner with the retiring Maps Etc. folder, rubbing a black inkpad on the raised inside before running through my die-cutting machine. I hand-cut the "Route 66" sign with my Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_one_wild_ride_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped-off the Smoky Slate-stamped images so the black-stamped sentiment would really pop!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods for the First Day of Winter!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods for the First Day of Winter!

Hey there! Today at 4:23 p.m. is the Winter Solstice! It's felt like winter for quite awhile, and if it was about 10 degrees colder all of the rain we've been getting would be piles of snow!

In observance of the First Day of Winter, I'm sharing some cards created with the Winter Woods bundle and 1 more! These cards are all samples from Vacation Stamping School in August.

First, a simple but lovely card using those great bare trees from Winter Woods! The creator either a clear block to stamp the rectangle background or created a rectangular stencil to sponge the Pool Party ink before stamping with the trees with black ink. The addition of the layer of Gold Foil really gives this card an elegant look.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps1

The creator of this card also used those bare trees to stamp with Night of Navy ink on a Smoky Slate layer. They stamped the bold greeting with Night of Navy on white, then punched with the Everyday Label Punch. A bit of Silver Mini Sequin Trim and a vellum tree cut with an In the Woods Framelit are the finishing touches.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps2

The creator of this card used an In The Woods Framelit to cut the Very Vanilla Tree then embossed with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions folder. They mounted it on a Garden Green card base stamped with black ink and the Buffalo Check background. A greeting from Beautiful Blizzard cut out with a Stitched Labels Framelit, 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim, and Red Rhinestones complete the homespun look.

Stampin_up_beautiful_blizzard_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, this fun card was created with the Cross-Stitched Christmas set. This set is perfect to stamp with the Stamparatus. If you don't have a Stamparatus, get one! Once you start stamping with it, you'll be glad you did!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings with Farmhouse Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings with Farmhouse Christmas!

Hey there! I'm continuing to play with the Tags & Tidings bundle and I decided to add in the adorable little truck from the Farmhouse Christmas set!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the Tags & Tidings image with Whisper White Craft ink on the Crumb Cake layer. While the craft ink dried, I stamped the Farmhouse Christmas truck with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Watercolor Paper, then colored with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I cut it out with a Festive Farmhouse Framelit, then used the "slope" thinlet, also from the Festive Farmhouse dies, to cut the Sparkle Glimmer Paper to create the "snow".

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

Coloring inside the super-thin lines of the "for you" image requires a very light touch with the brush tip of the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend.

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I used my favorite sentiment from Farmhouse Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Baby Shower Card for Sheila!

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Baby Shower Card for Sheila!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a special baby shower card. Sheila's my oldest daughter, Jessica's, bestie since they were babies. Both now 40, Sheila is having her very first baby in December. We are over the moon happy for her and her sweet hubby, David!

Honored to be asked to create an "Adventure Awaits" banner for the event,  I'm waiting for pictures as I didn't feel my camera could do it justice. But I can share the card I created that coordinates with the banner:

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps1

I used the Up & Away Thinlets Dies to create the hot-air balloon. The map paper background is a retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. I keep almost all of my retired stuff. Although it takes up a lot of storage room, it comes in handy when a custom project like this comes along!

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps2

I cut the intricate balloon outline from Basic Black card stock, then used more of the thinlets to cut the panels behind it from Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron.

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps3

I used "Congratualtions" from the Beautiful Bouquet set to stamp in black ink.

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a sentiment from Hold on To Hope:

Stampin_up_hold_on_to_hope_carolpaynestamps1

I inked the mini-balloon from Lift Me Up with Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron Stampin' Write Markers. After cutting out with an Up & Away Thinlet, I adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Stampin_up_lift_me_up_carolpaynestamps1

Lest you think I am a perfect stamper who never makes a mistake, here's what I discovered after I adhered the banner to the card front. Can you see what's wrong with this card? Fortunately it was easily fixed!

Carol Payne Stamps Country Lane!

Carol Payne Stamps Country Lane!

Hey there! I've been working on the cards for my Country Home Class in early October. Today I used three designs from Country Lane Designer Series Paper with Country Home stamps. I adhered each strip to an Early Espresso layer before adding a piece of Chicken Wire Element with a thin layer of Liquid Glue.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the greeting from Country Home with Blackberry Bliss ink on a strip of 2" x 4" Whisper White. then stamped-off Mint Macaron ink with the bloom image over the greeting. I punched both ends with the Tag Topper Scallop Punch so I could thread Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon through the slots, wrapping around to the back and securing the ends on the back with double-stick tape, I then adhered it all to the card base with a generous amount of SNAIL adhesive.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps3

I pressed a Framed Element into the Blackberry Bliss ink pad, dried with my Heat Tool, then slid under the edge of the greeting banner, securing with a couple of glue dots.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a sentiment from Bunch of Blossoms.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps5

 Simply thankful!
