Carol Payne Stamps Country Lane!

Carol Payne Stamps Country Lane!

Hey there! I've been working on the cards for my Country Home Class in early October. Today I used three designs from Country Lane Designer Series Paper with Country Home stamps. I adhered each strip to an Early Espresso layer before adding a piece of Chicken Wire Element with a thin layer of Liquid Glue.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the greeting from Country Home with Blackberry Bliss ink on a strip of 2" x 4" Whisper White. then stamped-off Mint Macaron ink with the bloom image over the greeting. I punched both ends with the Tag Topper Scallop Punch so I could thread Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon through the slots, wrapping around to the back and securing the ends on the back with double-stick tape, I then adhered it all to the card base with a generous amount of SNAIL adhesive.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps3

I pressed a Framed Element into the Blackberry Bliss ink pad, dried with my Heat Tool, then slid under the edge of the greeting banner, securing with a couple of glue dots.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a sentiment from Bunch of Blossoms.

Stampin_up_country_home_carolpaynestamps5

 Simply thankful!

She punched the Wood Textures paper with the Everyday Label Punch for the background behind the daisies. She colored the blooms and around them with an Aqua Painter.

Sharon Tong-Robinson used Share What You Love Specialty Paper as a background after embossing the Crumb Cake card base with the Tufted Dynamic Folder. Lots of fun little touches on this card!

She used a Detailed with Love sentiment, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, the Subtle Dynamic folder to emboss the Old Olive strip, and added a piece of Silver Mini Sequin Trim as a collar for the kitty!

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door Take 2!

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door Take 2!

Hey there! Last weekend I did a class for a dear friend of mine. She requested a Barn Door card with a red tractor, so I modified a card I have shown you already for her class:

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps1

We did a lot of sponging on the Pinewood Planks layer; on all of the layers actually. We stamped the door on a piece of Wood Textured Designer Paper for a more authentic look.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps2

We used the Stamparatus to stamp the door on both sides of the Wood Textures piece, and used Real Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers to ink the tractor stamp before stamping on the Very Vanilla layer. "Happy Birthday" is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings set.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps3

On the inside we huffed our breath on the tractor stamp without re-inking, then stamped on the inside layer. The sentiment is from the Heartland set.

Stampin_up_heartland_barn_door_carolpaynestamps4

This card would also make a really great Father's Day card, don't you think?

Stampin’ Up! Picnic With You Double Z-fold!

Stampin’ Up! Picnic With You Double Z-fold!

Hey there! Despite the wintry weather, I'm forging ahead with springtime creations! Today's card uses the Picnic with You Bundle!

Stampin_up_picnic_with_you_carolpaynestamps1

So many cute things to stamp and cut out!

Stampin_up_picnic_with_you_carolpaynestamps2

I used a Petal Pair Textured Impressions folder for "grass", and the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions folder for the z-fold.

Stampin_up_picnic_with_you_carolpaynestamps3

Embossed card stock can be a little floppy, so I adhered it to an un-embossed strip of Crumb Cake for sturdiness.

Stampin_up_picnic_with_you_carolpaynestamps4

To cut out multiple images I used bits of washi tape.

Stampin_up_picnic_with_you_carolpaynestamps5

Turn it over so the cutting edge faces up on the Big Shot Platform.

Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket Colored with Markers!

Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket Colored with Markers!

Hey there! I want to see how many different coloring techniques I can use with the Blossoming Basket Bundle!

After heat embossing the basket with white powder, I colored the backside of vellum card stock with Stampin' Write Markers.

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps1

It looks messy and ugly from this side doesn't it? I colored the basket with a Chocolate Chip marker, then used Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive to fill in the blooms and leaves.

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps8

When you turn the vellum over to the front, the vellum and embossed lines make the messy markering look soft and lovely!

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps9

I adhered the vellum  to the card front with strategically placed bits of Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps10

The vellum is adhered over a layer of Pear Pizzazz dry embossed with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder for a softly green background.

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps2

A hand-snipped greeting banner and embossed and colored butterflies (hand-cut with Paper Snips) finish the front.

Stampin_up_blossoming_basket_carolpaynestamps4

The inside is stamped with more Blossoming Basket images.

Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings with Fun Foam!

Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings with Fun Foam!

Hey there! I've been re-visiting another oldie-but-goodie-technique, Heat Stamping on Fun Foam!

Stampin_up_count_my_blessings_carolpaynestamps5

How do you heat stamp? What is Fun Foam?

First, Fun Foam is a spongy sheet 1/8" – 1/4" thick found at craft stores. I bought a beige 12" x 18" sheet for 89 cents! I can cut a bunch of squares, rectangles, and strips!

To heat stamp on fun foam: Heat with your Heat Tool until the foam gets a little wet-looking and starts to curl. This doesn't take very long! As soon as the foam is heated, press an inked red-rubber stamp into the foam. Hold in place for a few seconds. Remove and voila! You have heat stamped the Fun Foam!

NOTE: Red-rubber stamps work best because they are more deeply-etched than photopolymer.

For my card I started with an Early Espresso card base,  then added a Crumb Cake layer embossed with the Pinewood Plank Dynamic Folder inked with Crumb Cake.  I added strips of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, than the Fun Foam square  I had cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit, heated with the Heat Tool and stamped with a Count My Blessings image inked with Early Espresso. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso  before adhering to the card with a Stampin' Dimensionals in each corner.

Stampin_up_count_my_blessings_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped a Butterfly Basics greeting and finished with a single Gold Faceted Gem.

Stampin_up_count_my_blessings_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped inside with a Count My Blessings sentiment, stamped-off acorns, and Early Espresso sponging. I covered the Very Vanilla envelope flap with the fabulous acorn pattern from the Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper!
