Stampin’ Up! Mother’s Love!

Stampin’ Up! Mother’s Love!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning. There are about 25 people coming to my house today for Mother's Day dinner (don't worry, I'm not doing ALL of that cooking, we are getting some KFC, and using disposable plates, cups, etc)

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day and share this card with you. I belong to a Facebook group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that shares card ideas. Each month I share a card idea and then I can share any of the other ideas that month with you!

Even though this card was created by a UK demo, the sentiment still rings true:

Mothers love

That's all for now! Hope all of you mother's have a lovely day!

Until tomorrow, which will be Sunday Swap Day on Monday, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Four Thanks!

Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Four Thanks!

Hey there! I just got home from the Spring Into Stamping event in Champaign, IL a few hours ago. After I arrived home I headed back to Mt Vernon to grab the groceries we need for Sunday dinner tomorrow. Now I am home, the groceries are put away and I'm about ready to put myself away for the night too!

My presentation went really well and I received a lot of positive feedback.I feel like it was a day well spent!

I'm really too tired at the moment to post a Sunday Swap Day blog, so I'm just going to share this next card in my Fabulous Four series and call it a night. We will have a Sunday Swap Day on Monday, ok?

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_thanks_1 - Copy

This card uses the same Fabulous Four set and Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper, and a length of Gold Metallic Baker's Twine.

Stampin_up_fabulous_four_thanks_2 - Copy

I continued the diagonal strips of designer paper on the inside, then added a sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts and accent images from Little Sunshine.

That's really all for now. I'm happily worn out for today. Hopefully by the time you read this post I will be waking up from a restful night's sleep!

Here's the supply list for today. You can order everything on the list in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Glue Dots

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands Meets Adventure Bound!

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands Meets Adventure Bound!

Hey there! How are you doing today? Things have calmed down around here after all excitement yesterday, and I had a little time to create! My hostess for tonight has requested a card using the Wetlands stamp set, so I put my thinking cap on.

I decided to use a bit of retiring Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for my card base, then layered on a piece of Adventure Bound Designer Paper from the stack in the Occasions Catalog. I cut a window with one of the soon-retiring Window Frames Framelits dies, then added a Baked Brown Sugar frame cut with the same die and the next-larger die from the same set.

Stampin_up_wetlands_1

I stamped a layer of Very Vanilla with the little shore birdies from the Wetlands set. My hostess had also admired a technique on a swap I had on my display board that used the swish stamp from the Work of Art stamp set, so I used that stamp to add the background colors behind the birdies. I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored the shore grass with my Blender Pen using Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand ink from the lid of the pad.

Stampin_up_wetlands_3

Inside I used the cut-out from the Adventure Bound layer on the front, then stamped the sentiment from Yippee Skippee! (which is retiring) and cut it out with the next-to-smallest Window Frames Framelit.

Stampin_up_wetlands_2

A bit more stamping with the Work of Art "swish", the birdies and the grass finish off the inside. I kept the stamping of the grass and the birdies on the envelope simple by using just the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Here's the instruction sheet for you to download:

Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals Again!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals Again!

Hey there! It's finally Friday! yay! I think if the weather cooperates we will be taking the kids to the park today.I am helping my sister-in-law, Debbie, take care of her three grandchildren while their parents are on a trip. Even though I hadn't seen these little ones for about a year and half, they all three warmed up to me pretty quickly. By bedtime the oldest two, age 4 1/2 and 2 1/2, we both on my lap for multiple story books! The littlest one is only 10 months, so this is my first meeting with little Allison! I love it!

Before we take off for the park I want to share with you this card created with the Painted Petals stamp set and a Butterfly Basics greeting:

Stampin_up_painted_petals_1

It's simple and easy, but oh, so cute! Inside I finished it off with a sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the some of the same stamps from Painted Petals.

Stampin_up_painted_petals_2

Here's the supply list. Some of the items are on the Retiring Stamps & Accessories List (such as the Coastal Cabana cardstock which is most likely sold out by now) but can be easily substituted with another similar color (like Pool Party)

Just click on any picture in the supply list and you will be taken directly to my online store or click this link to go there: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
