Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Evergreen Elegance!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Evergreen Elegance!

Hey there! I'm back again with Day #3 of Christmas In July Week! Today I have another new bundle from the Annual Catalog, Evergreen Elegance! This bundle consists of a red-rubber cling stamp set and a border punch. I didn't use the punch on today's card, but come back tomorrow and I will share a creation with it, ok?

For my card today I combined the Evergreen Elegance stamp set with the Wintry 3D embossing folders and gold heat embossing. Evening Evergreen ink, Basic White card stock, and gold embellishments all come together for such and elegant look!

Stampin_up_evergreen_elegance_carolpaynestamps2

I embossed the vellum with one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders:

I heat-embossed the traditional Merry Christmas with gold powder, then added gold twine from the Elegant Trim Combo Pack and Gilded Gems to coordinate.

I cut a mat for the inside sentiment layer with a Stitched Rectangle die.

Every day I think today's card is my favorite, but wait till you see the one tomorrow!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Week!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Week!

Hey there! I traditionally hold a Christmas in July class at my house, but this year circumstances are not letting it happen, so I decided to do the next best thing, hold a Christmas In July Week here on my blog!

Today's card is the first one I created with the Tidings and Trimmings bundle from the Annual Catalog!

Stampin_up_tidings_&_trimmings_carolpaynestamps1

I used Crumb Cake as my neutral instead of the usual Basic White or Very Vanilla, stamping directly on it with Evening Evergreen, then cutting with a Hippo & Friends die. I cut a larger mat layer from Cherry Cobbler with another Hippo & Friends die. The holly & star embellishments are cut with Christmas Trimmings dies.

Stampin_up_tidings_&_trimmings_carolpaynestamps3

I embossed the Soft Succulent layer with one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders that is sized to fit in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I chose my card stock colors to coordinate with the colors in the Tidings of Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper I used on the card front.

Stampin_up_tidings_&_trimmings_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I stamped again on Crumb Cake with a Tidings & Trimmings sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink.

Stampin_up_tidings_&_trimmings_carolpaynestamps5

I had fun creating my first Christmas card of 2021! I will be back tomorrow with another Tidings & Trimmings creation!

Stampin’ Up! A Found Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! A Found Swap Day!

Hey there! I am recovering from a nasty UTI. Without being TMI, my doctor said it was a "rip roarin" one. Fortunately, the prescription is working and I'm feeling much better.

Obviously, I've had no motivation to stamp, but I hunted through my pictures and found a some lost cards. Weird, but they must have hidden themselves just so I would have something to share today!

First, Mary Waring used the soon-retiring Square Pillow Box Dies with (in a Bundle to save 15%!) A Little Something stamps. She added Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Cording (retiring), Whisper White 5/8" Satin ribbon, and colored Rhinestones with a Sharpie to coordinate with the Season of Cheer Designer Paper(retiring):

Stampin_up_a_little_something_2

Next, Nancy Hall used Merry Moments Paper Stack with the Tree Punch, Decorative Dots and Stylish Stripes Folders, Itty Bitty Accents Punches, and Festival of Trees and Embellished Ornaments sets for a gift card holder:

Stampin_up_festival_of_trees_2

Laura Milligan used a Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag with the Tree Punch, Christmas Greetings Thinlets, Decorative Label Punch, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Crumb Cake 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain, and a Tea Lace Doily for a gift card/treat holder:

Stampin_up_christmas_greetings_1

Finally, Susan Berreth used a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag for her fold-up gift card holder. She used Versatile Christmas (retiring), Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Paper, Curvy Corner Trio Punch, and Peaceful Pines Framelits:

All of these items, while some are retiring, are still available in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Snow, Snow, Snow!

Stampin’ Up! Saturday Swap Day Snow, Snow, Snow!

Hey there! We've not had any snow yet, but today's swaps have plenty!

First, I received this little emery board holder at Dallas OnStage. They used Merry Moments paper, Home for Christmas Enamel Dot, and Real Red 1/4" Cotton Ribbon:

Stampin_up_happy_scenes_1

This next swap using Jingle All the Way, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, and Softly Falling folder is also anonymous. I love the vellum "moon"!

Stampin_up_jingle_all_the_way_1

Next, Leslie Carmon created a striking snowman card with Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, and a circle of Red Foil!

Stampin_up_snow_place_1The holly berries are from Snow Place, cut with a Snow Friends framelit:

Stampin_up_snow_place_2

I love how Leslie put the Red Foil nose inside the card!

Stampin_up_snow_place_3

Carol Bardin stamped a sentiment from Snow Place to accent the snow bank she created with torn Whisper White paper. She softly sponged the Smoky Slate trees, embossed with the soon-to-retire Woodland folder, then added little red birdies punched with the Tree Builder Punch.

Stampin_up_snow_place_4

Cindy Ewertz combined the Flurry of Wishes and Wonderland sets for her creation, turning a Spider Web Doily over to emboss with clear powder, before  adding a Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Snowflake!

Stampin_up_wonderland_1

Silver foil backgrounds the Spider Web doily, as well as behind the 1/8" Silver Ribbon bow.

Stampin_up_wonderland_2

"Joy" is from the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 to create the closure:

Finally, Ruth Bingle's punch art snowman combined perfectly with the Softly Falling folder and the sentiment from Snow Place:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Christmas Swaps!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Christmas Swaps!

Hey there! I'm continuing my Sunday Swap Day tradition today with some really nice Christmas Card Swaps!

First, Susie Wood created a card I'm planning to CASE for my next Christmas Card Buffet in November. She used the Holly Jolly Greetings set with Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, and Silver. I LOVE the Iced Rhinestone she put in the snowflake center!

Stampin_up_holly_jolly_greetings_1

Rhonda Bassler created an elegant card with the Happy Scenes stamp set, Softly Falling embossing folder, Flurry of Wishes set, and Hearth & Home Thinlets to cut the window. An entirely white card is hard to do justice with a camera. This card is GORGEOUS in person!

Stampin_up_happy_scenes_1

Becy Nidhols also used Happy Scenes and Hearth & Home Thinlets for her swap, adding pops of color with Real Red 1/8" Striped Ribbon, Red Glimmer Paper, and sparkle with White 3/8" Glitter Ribbon:

Stampin_up_happy_scenes_2

Did you spot the unusual use of the Bow Builder Punch? I had never thought to use it as a label!

Stampin_up_happy_scenes_3

Finally, Raedean Shibata created a gorgeous side-step card with the Flurry of Wishes set and Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Paper:
