Stampin’ Up! Another Art Gallery Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Another Art Gallery Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Today I want to share with  you another card I created with the Fine Art Floral Suite! This time I created a "book-style" card so I could feature both sides of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper:

Stampin_up_art_gallery_carolpaynestamps1

For this card I only cut out the "just" from the "just want to say" die cut to coordinate with the "thinking of you" sentiment. Originally "I'm thinking of you" in the Art Gallery stamp set, I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker to omit the "I'm".  I cut it out with a Floral Gallery Die, then layered on a strip of Basic Black. I framed it with a Gilded Gem on each end to complement the strip of Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate I added over the Basic Black "spine" of the card front.

Stampin_up_art_gallery_carolpaynestamps2
I stamped the inside with a sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set, another new one from the January/June 2021 Mini Catalog. See how pretty the other side of the designer paper I used for the front flap is? I have the measurements below so you can make a card like this one too!

Stampin_up_art_gallery_carolpaynestamps3

Measurements for today's card:

Basic Black card base: 5 1/2" x 5 1/4", scored at 4 1/4"

Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper front: 4" x 5 1/2"

Basic Black to cut "just": 1 1/2" x 3" greeting mat: 5/8" x 3"

Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate: 3/4" x 5 1/2"

Whisper White greeting strip: 1" x 3" inside layer: 3 3/4" x 4 3/4"

Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper inside strip: 1/2" x 3 3/4"

You will be able to order the Fine Art Floral Suite and all of it's components beginning January 5th!

Until then you probably should check out the Year End Closeout Retiring List and Clearance Rack. You can view the list here:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 27th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 27th!

Hey there! I can hardly believe I'm actually posting a Sunday Swap Day on SUNDAY! YAY!

We decided to stay home from church and watch it online again like we did last week. We are feeling MUCH better, but still tired and not up to our usual energetic selves yet. I've made the executive decision not to decorate my tree this year; I'm going to focus on getting the mound of presents wrapped and the house cleaned so we can host our family next Friday.

Today's swaps were all created by my lovely team member, Joanne Cantrell!

First, her creation with the Best Year Bundle of stamps and dies:

Stampin_up_best_year_carolpaynestamps1

Next, she made this lovely card with the Fancy Phrases Bundle of stamps and punch:

Stampin_up_fancy_phrases_carolpaynestamps1
She created this card with the Massive Thanks stamp set, Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder, and Ornate Style stamp set.

Stampin_up_massive_thanks_carolpaynestamps1

She used Nature's Beauty to create this masculine thanks card:

Stampin_up_natures_beauty_carolpaynestamps1

This pretty little card was created with the Summer Days Host Rewards set:

Stampin_up_summer_days_carolpaynestamps1

Timeless Tropical is the name of the stamp set used on this one:

Joanne used the Well Written dies and Well Said stamps to create this one:

Stampin_up_word_wishes_carolpaynestamps1

She used the Well Written dies again to create this Magenta Madness card:

Stampin_up_word_wishes_carolpaynestamps2

For her final creation, Joanne used the Zoo Globe stamp set with a fun fold!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Today is our first day out of quarantine, and although I don't think we are venturing out yet and may not for a few more days, it's good to know we don't have to stay home!

We will be having our family Christmas next week on New Year's Day, so I still have Christmas-y things to do when I feel up to it. We are still pretty tired.

Today I'm sharing a fun card I created with the new Art Gallery Bundle from the Fine Art Floral Suite in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog:

Stampin_up_art_gallery_carolpaynestamps1-1

The element that attracted me the most to this bundle was the Floral Gallery Dies with the "just want to say" phrase, so of course I used it on the very first card I made! I embossed the Petal Pink layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder after I had added the strip of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. I added a bow tied with Mossy Meadow 3/16" Braided Linen Trim to coordinate with the Mossy Meadow card base.

Inside I inked the flowers with Blushing Bride then used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker to add the streaks of color to the blooms.

Stampin_up_art_gallery_carolpaynestamps2-2

All of the stamps, dies, and accessories used on today's card will be available to order starting on January 5th, 2021!

Until then you can shop the Year-End Closeout for some good deals on retiring Holiday Catalog products. All items are while-supplies-last. Check inventory in my online store to be sure of availability.

Stampin’ Up! More Christmas Cards From Friends!

Stampin’ Up! More Christmas Cards From Friends!

Hey there! Today I have more Christmas  cards from friends I want to share with you. Since tomorrow  is Christmas I won't be posting anything, but on the 26th I will be back to start sharing some sneak peeks from the January/June Spring Mini Catalog!

I have three cards to share today, starting with this one from Diane Laur. Diane used a retired Stampin' Up! Christmas set with white heat embossing and Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper (50% off right now on the Year-End Close-out List)

IMG_1277 (2)

Next, LeeAnn Byrne CASED a card I shared here a couple of months ago to create her Christmas card. I am so honored! She made a few changes to make it her own, of course!

IMG_1273 (2)

Finally, Donna Ninness created about 40 of these to send out to her besties. She used the Peaceful Nativity Bundle, another Year-End Closeout find. The Nativity Dies are a steal at 50% off the regular price!

IMG_1268 (2)

Donna used her Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers to color the nativity images.

Here's the full list of Year-End Closeouts, including the discounted items. All are while-supplies-last. To be sure the items you are wanting to order are available, be sure to order them directly from my online store.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Cards From Friends!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Cards From Friends!

Hey there! We are still hanging out at home, waiting for our quarantine time to pass. I still have plenty to do to get ready for our family Christmas next week, but I'm waiting to wrap until after I'm no longer contagious.

I've received some pretty cards in the mail from friends and customers, so I decided to share some of them today and tomorrow with you. Most of these today have been created with retired Stampin' Up! products, but it shows how timeless and lasting Stampin' Up! is!

First, my friend Becky Anderson created this pretty card with vellum and retired silver glimmer paper. She attached the vellum over the stamped snowflakes with strategically placed glue dots under the "peace" and the jewels.

IMG_1276 (2)

Norma Artman used Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper with the Christmas Gleaming Bundle (still available on the Year End Closeout List) The Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper and the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack are both discounted 50%!

IMG_1275 (2)

Tina Biby combined retired designer series paper with the retiring Ornamental Envelopes Bundle of stamps and dies for her pretty creation. The Envelopes Dies are currently 40% off!

IMG_1271 (2)

Finally for today, my friend Crystal Lopez enjoys playing with products from many different companies. She sent me this super awesome slim-line shaker card!

IMG_1278 (2)

Hard to believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Very different around here this year, but I'm still thankful we are doing as well as we are and that there is light at the end of our tunnel!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Happenings!

Hey there and welcome to the December edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

Our December theme is "Holiday Happenings". Today I want to share with you some custom ornaments I created with my daughter to give to her kid's teachers with the Gnome for the Holidays and Way to Goat stamp sets!

First the Gnomes! I actually stamped and colored these little guys (and the goats) while creating the Merry Christmas banners I shared with you a while back. I stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends.

I adhered each one to a window sheet circle cut with a Layering Circles Die using glue dots. I added a matching Whisper White circle that I had printed "Christmas 2020" and the recipient's name. After punching a hole at the top I tied some white sewing thread to it so I could hold on to it while rolling it into a tube to fit through the top of the ornament. It popped back open easily!

IMG_1265

I tied the thread to the ornament wire, then tied some Real Red Sheer Ribbon for the hanger.

IMG_1266

Now for the goats! First the dad:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday December 14th!

Hey there! Another busy weekend. I try to stay ahead as much as I can, but always something comes along that gets me off-track. Family always comes first, so that's why I've been blogging my Sunday Swap Days on Monday so much lately.

Today I have a fun collection of gift card holders to share with you!

First, Emily Tull created her gift card holder with Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the Moose Punch, which are both on the Year-End Closeout Retiring List!

Stampin_up_merry_moose_carolpaynestamps

Next,  Laura Barto used the retiring Festive Post with the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and the Rectangle Postage Punch for her gift card holder. The Mossy Meadow 3/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon is 50% off on the Year-End Closeout Retiring List.

This gift card holder pulls out:
