Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tuilps!

Hey there! One of the awesome perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is to get to order new products early, even host sets that you can only get by having a stamping party! All of the new Host sets are pretty much ones you can't-live-without, but my fav of the one's coming in the new catty is the set I used for today's card, Tranquil Tulips!

I stamped these pretty Berry Burst blooms on a layer of Whisper White, layered on new In Color Berry Burst, layered on a Whisper White Notecard. I stamped the stems and leaves with new In Color Tranquil Tide.

These blooms are two-step, which means there are two separate images for each flower. To stamp the larger, lighter portion of the bloom, "stamp-off" on scratch paper after you have inked the stamp but before you stamp on the paper. The leaves and stems are Tranquil Tide.

Carol's Stamping Tip: Stamp the three-stemmed set of stems first, then the blooms. It helps to stamp the two-step bloom when you can see the top of the stem. Stamp the leaves last.

NOTE: Tranquil Tulips images are intended to look faded to give them a vintage feel. This makes it easier to stamp because they aren't perfect on purpose!

I stamped the greeting a frame using the Label Me Pretty Bundle, which includes the Pretty Label Punch. Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is the finishing touch!

Just Add Text provided the inside sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tuilps!

Carol's Stamping Tip: Stamp the three-stemmed set of stems first, then the blooms. It helps to stamp the two-step bloom when you can see the top of the stem. Stamp the leaves last.

Stampin’ Up! So Detailed Dragonfly!

Hey there stamping friends! My creation today was CASED from page 52 of the Occasions Catalog. Did you know it's perfectly o.k. to copy (CASE) the projects Stampin' Up! features in their catalogs? Did you know it's o.k. to CASE my projects ? IT IS!!!

Of course, everyone that CASES a project changes something a little bit. That's what I did today.

The So Detailed Thinlets I used to cut the glittery Blushing Bride "doors" are retiring. They are bundled with the So In Love stamps used for the "a day to celebrate" greeting, saving you 10%. So In Love and So Detailed Thinlets are only available while supplies last.

The Falling In Love Designer Series Paper used on this card is sold out, but easily substituted.

I used about 40 inches of Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon to wrap three times around the card for a rich, elegant look. This retiring ribbon is discounted from $6.00 to $3.60.

Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, also retiring, is discounted from $5.00 to $3.00.

I cut a single Basic Black dragonfly for the front.

After untying the "doors" and lifting the front, I stamped the So In Love bloom with Blushing Bride. The greeting and dragonflies are from the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, which will only be discounted 10% through May 31st. Although not retiring, they won't be bundled for savings in the new catalog.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Tag for April Online Rewards!

Hey there stampers! For the April Online Rewards I'm using the That's the Tag Bundle. That's the Tag has 20 photopolymer stamps with 10 phrases; extremely versatile!

The first creation for the April Online Rewards features BUTTERFLIES!

I'm thinking this would also have been a good birthday card for my MIL, since I used Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder again. Very feminine and springy!

The Timeless Tags Thinlets are 7 dies, one that cuts out these teeny-tiny butterflies! I stamped the greeting and the dotted oval, also from That's the Tag, with Elegant Eggplant. The Wisteria Wonder tag under the white tag provides the color for the butterflies.

I inked one side of the Fluttering Textured Impressions Folder by rubbing directly with the Wisteria Wonder inkpad before embossing the Whisper White layer.

Inside I stamped a phrase from Suite Sentiments.

The butterflies around the sentiment are the cut-outs from the tag on the front, lightly sponged with Wisteria Wonder and added with Fine Tip Glue.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Tag for April Online Rewards!

Stampin’ Up! Bunny Buddies Gift Bags for the Nest!

Hey there! With Paper Pumpkin you don't have to make the projects exactly as shown. After I made the Bunny Buddy Bags as instructed, I modified them:

The tag is stamped with a Circle of Spring phrase and cut with a Basket Builder Framelit.

Instead of the pre-printed linings from the kit, I sponged the inner ears with Sweet Sugarplum.

In keeping with Stampin' Up!'s Angel Policy, I stamped the copywrite on the back underneath the sponge-daubered tail. I used a Project Life Journaling Pen to add my branding.

I made a few girl and boy versions. These are going to a local vintage re-sale shop owned by a friend of mine.
