Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope for VBS!

Hey there! I'm the director of VBS Crafts and I order most of my kits from Oriental Trading. When they arrived, one set of kits was on backorder and now are listed as "out of stock". I've hunted Pinterest and racked my brain, but was coming up with zilch. Then I pulled out Hold On To Hope and my Heat Tool and went to work!

I started by clear heat embossing two crosses on Pool Party cardstock, cutting with a Cross Hope die. I adhered back-to-back with Stampin' Dimensionals, then stamped the "God is Love" banner on Very Vanilla with Early Espresso. I pressed the Versamark pad directly on the image, then heat embossed with clear powder. I cut with another Cross of Hope die, then adhered with dimensionals.

For the flip side, I stamped a bible verse, from the now retired His Grace, with Early Espresso on Very Vanilla. I pressed the Versamark pad on it, heat embossed with clear powder, punched with the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle and adhering with stampin' dimensionals.

I finished the cross by punching at the top with my long-retired Crop-a-dile, then used retired ribbon to create a necklace.

This craft is a mix of old and new Stampin' Up! Sometimes I'm really glad I'm a packrat! lol!

Stampin’ Up! Well Wishes and Magnolias!

Hey there! This afternoon is my Annual New Catalog Party and BOGO, and here's one of the cards we'll make!

I combined Magnolia Lane Designer Paper with a print that is actually the envelope liner!

I discovered the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes liners coordinate with TWO prints in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper! The Whisper White background piece on top is the envelope liner.

I cut off three inches of the liner (useless inside the envelope) to use on the card!

Plenty of left to line the flap!

I cut a piece 3" x 4" to fit inside the pre-printed silver frame on the card front.

I cut "birthday" from Silver Foil using a Well Written die, then stamped "thoughts" with black ink on a scrap of Petal Pink. I punched the greeting with the Classic Label.

I cut the remaining scrap of liner into two 3/4" x 3" pieces to add to the ends of the inside sentiment layer. The sentiment is also from Well Said.

Although the Well Said/Well Written stamps and dies will be in the New Annual Catalog, they will NOT be bundled and you can't save 10% like you can if you order them NOW!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Happy Tails & More!

Hey there! It's Sunday, which means it's time for Sunday Swap Day! yay!

Since I posted the Happy Tails birthday easel card I created for Cohen yesterday, I decided to share a couple of fun swaps I've received with the same bundle, and a few more!

This card by Mary Waring incorporates the Happy Tails Bundle, Nine Lives Stamp set, and Cat Punch! She embossed the Powder Pink background with the Corrugated Dynamic folder for interest and punched a heart from a Sale-a-bration freebie, a Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet!

Next, Kathy Johnson also used the Happy Tails Bundle for her pet loss sympathy card.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments with Inlaid Embossing!

Hey there! Today's card was created with Snowflake Sentiments stamps, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, and the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I was inspired to create these cards by Lyssa Zwolanek, a friend from my Founder's Circle Days.

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique to adhere the strips of Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper to the Very Vanilla layer first, then embossing the entire layer with the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This technique makes the designer paper look like it has become one with the Very Vanilla paper!

I stamped the Snowflake Sentiments greeting with Cherry Cobbler ink on a 2" x 4" Very Vanilla piece that I punched on one end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. After I cut down a piece of 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim to about 1/4" wide, I tied it in a bow through the ribbon slot. The tag is adhered to the card with dimensionals.

I kept my inside stamping all Cherry Cobbler. I love those small flourishes from Snowflake Sentiments!

Stampin’ Up! Polished Stone Dashing Deer Swap!

Hey there! I arrived home late last night, so this morning I'm posting this absolutely gorgeous card I received in a swap by Tandra Boyer. Tandra combined the Dashing Deer Bundle with the Polished Stone technique and a greeting from the Warm Hearted Holiday Catalog Host Set to create this beauty!

Tandra used Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue, and Mint Macaron reinkers with rubbing alcohol and cotton balls to dab the colors on a layer of Glossy White card stock. After the colors blended, she added dabs of Wink of Stella to finish the "polished" look! She cut a layer of Shimmery White card stock with a Detailed Deer Thinlet to allow the beautiful polished stone to peek through! She also added Iridescent Sequins using liquid glue for a bit of sparkle. I have a class for a monthly group in Marion scheduled for this Friday and we will be making this card! I think they will like it1

Stamping Rox Varied Vases!

Hey there! Varied Vases was another popular favorite for swap stamping on the Alaska Incentive Trip!

This pretty swap combines the Varied Vases Bundle (stamp set and Vases Builder Punch) with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions folder for the background and Garden Impressions 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper for the punched vases. The flowers are colored with a White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

The Varied Vases Bundle was combined with the Hexagons Dynamic folder, Letterboard Messages, and Tropical Chic stamp sets. Heat embossing with white embossing powder accomplished the white-on-black message.

Another use for white heat-embossing to highlight the white blooms on the Crumb Cake layer. I love this color combo of Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, Crumb Cake, and Bermuda Bay!

The Tufted Dynamic folder embossed the Petal Pink background layer, then Garden Impressions Designer Paper and a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Polk Dot Ribbon highlight the focal image punched from Gold Glimmer Paper.

This one has the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions folder embossing the Whisper White background, a strip of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, and "celebrate" cut with a Celebrate You Thinlet.
