Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Tuilps!

Hey there! One of the awesome perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is to get to order new products early, even host sets that you can only get by having a stamping party! All of the new Host sets are pretty much ones you can't-live-without, but my fav of the one's coming in the new catty is the set I used for today's card, Tranquil Tulips!

I stamped these pretty Berry Burst blooms on a layer of Whisper White, layered on new In Color Berry Burst, layered on a Whisper White Notecard. I stamped the stems and leaves with new In Color Tranquil Tide.

These blooms are two-step, which means there are two separate images for each flower. To stamp the larger, lighter portion of the bloom, "stamp-off" on scratch paper after you have inked the stamp but before you stamp on the paper. The leaves and stems are Tranquil Tide.

Carol's Stamping Tip: Stamp the three-stemmed set of stems first, then the blooms. It helps to stamp the two-step bloom when you can see the top of the stem. Stamp the leaves last.

NOTE: Tranquil Tulips images are intended to look faded to give them a vintage feel. This makes it easier to stamp because they aren't perfect on purpose!

I stamped the greeting a frame using the Label Me Pretty Bundle, which includes the Pretty Label Punch. Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is the finishing touch!

Just Add Text provided the inside sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Nailed It!

Hey there stamping friends! I'm working on the projects for an upcoming "Guys & Gals" class.

For today's card I used the retiring Nailed It stamp set (still available), retiring Urban District (still available), Guy Greetings (not retiring), and the now sold-out Build It Framelits:

I used a Clear Stampin' Up! envelope to create a "Faux Shaker" card. I added "tools" stamped with Nailed It images and cut with Build It framelits. I also added Gold Sequins pulled from a strand of retiring Gold Sequin Trim. The "ruler" is cut with a Build It Framelit from Silver Foil paper. I stamped the group of tools from Guy Greetings in the background with Smoky Slate ink on Smoky Slate card stock.

The greeting is from Guy Greetings stamped with Basic Black on Crushed Curry.

The inside phrase is from Urban District. This card is truly a blend of all three sets!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Friends!

Hey there! One of the fun things I like to do before a new catalog starts, besides order new catalog stamps and accessories of course, is create cards to swap! I belong to a Facebook Group called Stampin' Leaders, and right before each new catalog someone will organize a swap. Today's card I created for this swap using a fabulous new set called Lovely Friends!

I used two new In Colors and one returning In Color: Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Dapper Denim. ALL of the images I used on the outside and the inside of this card are included in Lovely Friends, which is photopolymer and contains 23 stamps; a lovely mix of phrases, flowers, brackets, and accents!

I added another New Catalog product as the only addition to this completely flat card, a Glitter Enamel Dot in Berry Burst!

The flowers are two-step, with the solid image stamped-off once, and then the detail stamped full-strength, all with Berry Burst.

Stampin’ Up! Eastern Beauty!

Hey there stamping friends! My creation today is with the Eastern Palace Suite, which you will be able to pre-purchase from the NEW Annual Catalog beginning on May 1st!

This year the catalog has samples using components of different suites throughout the pages. I found some samples on page 129 of the new catalog that inspired this:

New 2017/19 In Color Powder Pink paired with Very Vanilla! After I cut out the Very Vanilla with an Eastern Medallions Thinlet die, I took it one step further by cutting out the medallion to mount separately. You can compare today's card to my Thailand Achiever's creation by clicking HERE.

All of the stamped images are included in the Eastern Beauty stamp set that coordinates with the Eastern Medallion Thinlets Dies. The Sparkle Textured Impressions Folder, a current one, also coordinates perfectly with the image I stamped and cut out for the medallion center!

Berry Burst, another up-coming new In Color, was the perfect "pop" to stamp the greeting. Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim was the finishing touch!

Inside I used more Eastern Beauty images. I LOVE the "let's be friends forever" phrase! I will be returning to the Eastern Beauty set to use this phrase over and over this year!

Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Kissing!

Hey there stampers! I had a wonderful, though very quick, trip to Shreveport, LA, then was able to see my son play the Wizard in the Wizard on Oz on Sunday afternoon! Spring Break is this week, so I have time to recover before babysitting resumes next week!

I created today's card with the Flourishing Phrases and Timeless Textures stamp sets. I was actually planning to make a completely different card for the Dragonfly Dreams class next week but this happened instead, and I'm glad it did!

Tip Top Taupe (retiring) , Soft Sky, Pool Party, Whisper White and Sahara Sand. The Soft Sky layer was embossed with the Elegant Dots folder, which is also retiring.

KISSING TECHNIQUE:

Ink solid flower stamp with Soft Sky ink. Ink the flourish stamp with Pool Party ink.

After stamping the Pool Party-inked flourish stamp on the solid flower stamp, it is ready to then stamp on the card stock.

For the rest of the background, I inked with Sahara Sand and stamped off the Timeless Textures flourish once before stamping on the layer and stamped off twice with the grid stamp.

Both the card front and inside sentiments are from Flourishing Phrases.

Stampin’ Up! That’s the Tag Succulent Garden!

Hey there stamping friends! Today I have another card featuring the That's the Tag Bundle.

For today's creation I started with a Pear Pizzazz card base, then added a Pear Pizzazz layer that I embossed with the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Folder. I then added a 2" x 5 1/4" strip of Succulent Garden Designer Paper that I had layered on a 2 1/8" x 5 1/4" Tip Top Taupe:

I cut the Tip Top Taupe tag with the That's the tag framelit and the leaves thinlet, then heat embossed
"thinking of you" with white powder. I added a bit of Sweet Sugarplum Succulent Garden 3/8" Ribbon, tied at the top with a length of Linen Thread.

Inside I stamped my favorite phrase from Suite Sentiments with Sweet Sugarplum, adding some Pear Pizzazz delicate flower sprays from That's the Tag.
