Stampin’ Up! So Much Happy!

Hey there! Last night when I was starting to work on my blog post for today my computer wasn't cooperating. I use an older laptop to do most of my online stuff and I often leave it on for days at a time. I do put it to "sleep" at night, but after awhile it stops cooperating and needs to be shut down for awhile. So I'm blogging this morning instead. You just have to be flexible with technology, right?

In my last order I receive the So Much Happy Bundle, and I've been dying to play with it. For my card today I paired it with Artistry Blooms Designer Series paper to create this bright and cheery birthday card:

The Happy dies that coordinate with the So Much Happy stamp set are my favorite feature of this bundle! I will be playing more with this one so you can see it's potential! I used the new In Color Magenta Madness for the card base and the ink.

I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to create the greeting label from a 1" x 3 1/2" strip of Whisper White.

I used a kissing technique to add the tiny stars to one of the solid stars. I explain this technique in the directions I am including at the bottom of this post!

Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Kissing!

Hey there stampers! I had a wonderful, though very quick, trip to Shreveport, LA, then was able to see my son play the Wizard in the Wizard on Oz on Sunday afternoon! Spring Break is this week, so I have time to recover before babysitting resumes next week!

I created today's card with the Flourishing Phrases and Timeless Textures stamp sets. I was actually planning to make a completely different card for the Dragonfly Dreams class next week but this happened instead, and I'm glad it did!

Tip Top Taupe (retiring) , Soft Sky, Pool Party, Whisper White and Sahara Sand. The Soft Sky layer was embossed with the Elegant Dots folder, which is also retiring.

KISSING TECHNIQUE:

Ink solid flower stamp with Soft Sky ink. Ink the flourish stamp with Pool Party ink.

After stamping the Pool Party-inked flourish stamp on the solid flower stamp, it is ready to then stamp on the card stock.

For the rest of the background, I inked with Sahara Sand and stamped off the Timeless Textures flourish once before stamping on the layer and stamped off twice with the grid stamp.

Both the card front and inside sentiments are from Flourishing Phrases.

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Occasions Smarty Pants!

We had a really nice stamping time yesterday! There's just so many fun ideas for Sale-a-bration, I can't seem to find the time to share them all!

Today's card is with the free Sale-a-bration set, Patterned Occasions, accented with a Parker's Patterns Extra Large Tag pocket and a Hung Up Cute Clip:

We used the "kissing" technique to achieve the jeans texture on the pants with the Netting Background stamp.

The inside word is from Seasonal Sayings, a carryover set from the Holiday Catalog.

Here's a mini tutorial of how to "kiss" with stamps!

1. Ink stamp with a light color. Marina Mist used here. DO NOT stamp image.

Ink Netting Background stamp with Midnight Muse ink. Lay stamp rubber-side-up on stamping surface. Press pants stamp onto inked background stamp.

Here's the image after it has been "kissed":

Stamp image on Whisper White cardstock:
