Stampin’ Up! Seasonally Scattered!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonally Scattered!

Hey there! Since my last two posts have been featuring the Seasonally Scattered stamp set, I decided today would be a good day to share more Founder's Circle swaps with this set!

First, one of the really awesome things we get to do at Founders's is swap with the Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! herself, Shelli Gardner!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day Two!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day Two!

Hey there! Oh my! Stampin' Up! really knows how to spoil their demonstrators! Thank you Stampin' Up! and my stampin' customer friends for making it possible for me to enjoy this retreat!

Thursday, September 18th was all about relaxing and being spoiled rotten by Stampin' Up!

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_5

I spent much of my day in the Gathering Place, relaxing and visiting with friends!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_gathering_place

Stampin' Up! decorated the Gathering Place to reflect the "Home for the Holidays" theme!

This is my friend Derek Christiansen. Derek & I go way back to the first Stampin' Up! Regional I ever attended. Derek & I have a special bond because he interviewed me on stage at the Kansas City Regional. It was his and my first appearance on stage for Stampin' Up! Derek is now runs all of the events for Stampin' Up!, but he always has time to chat with old friends!

Founder's Circle wouldn't be Founder's Circle without yummy treats:
Stampin_up_founders_circle_mug_of_love

Besides offering a vast array of yumminess for our tummies, each jar was beautifully decorated with adorable tags to inspire our creativity!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_holiday_cheer

Pretty much all the decor was accented with products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! BTW: we get to keep the mug! yay!

Stampin_up_founder_circle_joy

The highlight of this day, of course, is the Business Share and Swap!

Stampin' Up! CEO and Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, greeted us, then it was on to the Share and the Swap, all while wearing our jammies!

Here's all 113 of the swaps I created with the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and Star framelit dies:

Here are swaps I received in return:

You will be getting to see these up-close in the next few weeks of Sunday Swap Days!

That's all for now! I will be sharing more Founder's Circle fun over the next few days, but be sure to come back tomorrow for Sunday Swap Day!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day One!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day One!

Hey there. Let me start by stating how very sorry I am for my absence. My hard-drive collapse, coupled with final preparations to leave for the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat, and then the whirwind of travel, has left me with no opportunity to blog at all!

Here's my technology status:

  • New hard-drive for computer: CHECK
  • Windows 7 Installed until replacement Windows 8 disc arrives from HP: CHECK
  • Major bookmarks and log-ins re-established: CHECK
  • Pictures re-loaded from camera SD card: CHECK
  • LOOONG process of categorizing said pictures: BEGUN

Things are still not where I want them to be: I still have to re-create my Carol Payne Stamps watermark in Picmonkey, re-edit the three September Christmas Card Class videos and get them uploaded to Youtube, and get my back-up programs established so when (and there's always a when) this happens again it won't be quite so devastating.

That said, let me just say that so far the 2014 Founder's Circle Retreat has been all and more than I expected it to be! If you are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram (if you want to follow me I'm instagrammy1959) you were able to see my progress across the country on Wednesday to first Las Vegas by plane and to St George, Utah by bus.

A couple of weeks ago I received this packet in the mail from Stampin'Up! containing my travel documents and info for the event:
Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_1
Inside were luggage tags, flight info, and an itinerary for each day:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_2

Arrival day itinerary:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_4

Here's my first glimpse of my home-away-from-home for the next few days;
10384215_10202710945235383_4230767395505402802_n

Each Founder's Circle member has a WHOLE ROOM all their own! You just want to pinch yourself! Each year they decorate the doors with a special memento of the event:

Stampin_up_founders_circle_door_hanger

Shortly after our arrival we met in the Gathering Place to pick up our name badges, play a little Holiday Catalog Trivia game, receive a little welcome gift, then our first activity with our teams. I'm a Nutcracker!

Stampin_up_nutcrackers_2

Each team worked together to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_nutcrackers 1

We then enjoyed a delicious and beautifully appointed "Holiday Welcome" meal:

Meal

Every day we receive gifts, culminating each night with "the pillow gift"! Here's my collection from just Day 1:

Day one gifts

The "lumps of COAL"-wrapped package contained a brand-new stamp set and framelits from next Spring's Occasions Catalog! Sweet!

That's all for now! I will be back tomorrow with more Founder's Circle fun!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Founders Circle and a Dazzling Diamonds Snowflake!

Stampin’ Up! Founders Circle and a Dazzling Diamonds Snowflake!

Hey there!  Now that our family vacation is over (insert frowny face) I'm back to daily blogging. This has been one CRAZY busy summer!

I didn't go to the Stampin' Up! convention this year. Last year I stayed home to help with baby Oakley. (no frowny face) This year I had to cancel again (but all is well)  Friday night I received this text, "You got Founders Circle!" I'm honored and humbled to be in the Top 100 Stampin' Up! demonstrators in the U.S.

10489620_947084535308533_4677575354108542814_n

I've already registered for the Founders Circle Retreat in St George, Utah in September, my fifth since 2008.  My customers, downline, and family deserve all my thanks. They stamp with me, work with me, and put up with me and my stampy chaos!

This weekend is my Christmas in July card class. Here is one card we are making, using the new Whats Up punch, new Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, and a future hostess set:

Stampin_up_dazzling_diamonds_snowflake_1 - Copy

I used Snowflake Soiree (soon retiring) on the inside with Encore Metallic Silver ink and a phrase from the new Christmas Bliss photopolymer, which is while-supplies-last.

Stampin_up_dazzling_diamonds_snowflake_2 - Copy

This card was inspired by Canadian demonstrator Jackie Topa.

If you haven't RSVP'd yet for Christmas in July, please do so today!

Here's today's supply list. You can click on any image or click HERE to shop in my Online Store:

Stampin’Up! Gently Falling Sponged Watercolor!

Stampin’Up! Gently Falling Sponged Watercolor!

Another project from yesterday's Punch/Technique Class, a CASE of a Founder's Circle swap from Tami White I call "Sponged Watercolor"!

Gently falling 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Inside:

Gently falling 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

The technique is incredibly simple:

  • Stamp image first in lightest color of ink (maple leaf was first stamped on a More Mustard stamp pad
  • Ink up a Sponge Dauber in darker color of ink (Cajun Craze ink was sponged around the edges of maple leaf, re-inking the dauber and continuing to add color until I had an intense application all around the edges of the leaf)
  • Spritz inked surface with plain water. (I held my stamp away from me as I sprayed at but not directly onto the stamp. This way the ink was wet, but not pushed around on the stamp by the force of the spray)
  • Stamp onto cardstock, holding the stamp on the paper (on this sample Naturals White) for a few extra seconds longer than normal to allow the ink to saturate the paper a bit more)
  • Allow the ink & paper to dry. The paper may bump up a bit at first from the extra moisture, but will flatten as it dries.

Here's sample showing the same leafed inked the same way but the leaf on the left has been spritzed with water and the one on the right has not:

Gently falling 3

Amazing the difference a little bit of added moisture can make, eh?
