Stampin’ Up! Gingerbread Man!

Hey there stamping friends! I can’t believe I am finally getting to use my blog! Typepad, the blog platform I have used since I started blogging in 2007, closed down at the end of September, so I had to choose a new blog platform. A close friend of mine and a member of my team, Joanne Cantrell, uses Word Press for her blog, so I asked her to “help me” migrate my blog to the same platform. (by “help” I mean she DID IT ALL for me, lol)

I’ve been wanting to get back to blogging for a long time, and hope to be more consistent with it moving forward. The past few years have been jam-packed with non-stamping activities, from babysitting grand babies to helping my daughter move out of her home, then supporting her emotionally as she goes through the process of divorcing her not-so-nice husband of over 25 years. I won’t get into the sordid details, but just suffice it to say there will be no regret for any of us when the divorce is final. We DO have fun things to look forward to in 2026: two more grand-babies coming in March and June, and a second great-grand arriving in January. We will have a total of 20 Grands and 2 Great-Grands by mid-June!

Today I want to share with you this fun Gingerbread Man card I created back in August for a swap.

This card was fun to create! The die to cut the gingerbread man is actually two of the same outline with a connection at the arms so the piece can be folded to create a shaped card. After heat-embossing the man image on Pecan Pie I cut out the two attached outlines, then attached to a standard card base of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. For the inside I stamped the man in Real Red on white, cut him out with just one side of the die, then trimmed him down with scissors. The greeting is from the Jar of Joy stamp set.

Finally, I added a white layer to the back of the card base for the area to add a signature and any other sentiments. I used images from the Jar of Joy Bundle.

You can find all of the supplies I used in the supply list at the bottom of this post. Click on the image of the product you want to order and it will take you to that product in my online store.

Or you can browse everything Stampin’ Up! has to offer in my online store: http://www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

This month only, Stampin’ Up! is also offering TWO Starter Kit Specials. Both are awesome with differing price points to meet your needs!

Your first choice is the Standard Starter Kit, usually $99 for $125 worth of Stampin’ Up! products of your choice, for only $35!

Your second choice is to choose $189 worth of Stampin’ Up!, including the newest products that will be available to order in November, for $99!

You may think this offer is only for people who want to run a Stampin’ Up! business, but it’s never required. You can simply take advantage of this awesome chance to choose either kit to get your stamping supplies at a great discount and never “sell” to anyone else but yourself! As long as you meet a threshold of $300 in sales every quarter (the quarter we are in doesn’t count so you would have until the end of March to submit $300 in orders) you will receive a 20% discount on every order as well as the 10% in “Rewards” to use on future orders. If you have questions, which I am sure you will, please email me at carol@carolpaynestamps.com , text me at 618-237-6281, or message me on Facebook if we are friends. If we are not friends, then send a friend request to: Carol Ann Payne

To purchase the “Starter Kit” before October 31st, click the “Join the Fun!” link at the top of this blog.
