Stampin’ Up! Shutter Cards from Vacation Stamping School!

Hey there! I'm still struggling a bit with technology (still lots of passwords to re-establish, as well as printer connections, etc), and now my washing machine is broken. I've called the repair people. They hope to be able to send someone to me tomorrow. Until then I took several loads to Kimberly's today to run through her washer while I babysit. She is a lifesaver!

Today I'm still sharing more projects we saw demonstrated and displayed at Vacation Stamping School. There were two sessions where we could watch demonstrators "demonstrate" how they made a project, fun fold, or technique. Laura Borchert demonstrated how to make a shutter card and also had several samples to see.

Her first sample used the Fresh Florals Designer Paper and the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set:

The fun part is when you open the card to reveal the opening shutter:

Coffee Cafe' and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. I love the sponged "coffee" on the cup front!

The coffee bean paper is also found in the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper pack!

With Daisy Delight and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Laura created a "bellyband" to keep this card closed.

I love the coordination of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers!

Laura paired Graceful Garden with the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper:

These shutter cards are very easy and so much fun!

Finally, Laura used Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Star of Light stamps for a gorgeous Christmas shutter card:

She used Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon to create the bellyband instead of card stock.

Stampin’ Up! Coffee Cafe’ from Vacation Stamping School!

Hey there! Just a quick post this morning to show you a collection of cards from Vacation Stamping School created with the Coffee Cafe' Bundle. There was a whole board of cards created with this set!

Here's a few that I photographed individually to remember more detail. Remember, when I take pictures of displays I have no way to note who the creators are.

This one used the Marbled Background with Tempting Turquoise and Lemon Lime Twist. They used a Happy Birthday Gorgeous Greeting along with the Coffee thinlets.

A sweet and yummy-looking square card:

The creator of this card used the cup and the sugar cubes to create "ice cubes" for a cup of lemonade!

I love the addition of the Cherry Cobbler heart!

A decorated clear acetate box!

A fun Christmas-themed card with Be Merry Designer Series Paper:

The "foam" on top was created with Embossing Paste with real cupcake sprinkles!

Finally, a card contest card created with the Holiday Catalog set, Merry Cafe coordinates with the Coffee thinlets!

Stampin Up! Sunday Swap Day September 3!

Hey there! Since it's Sunday, I am taking a break today from the Creative Crew Challenges with a Fall theme to share with you another stack of swaps!

First, Amy Combs used Beautiful Bouquet with Petal Garden Designer Paper and the Garden Trellis embossing folder for her warm-but-elegant card:

Next, Raedean Shibata used the corner of her inkpads (Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz?) to drag across the white layer to create a unique background for the So Many Shells greeting she cut with a Stitched Shapes oval framelit. The Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding sets off the Night of Navy stamped greeting, as well as the Night of Navy mat layer cut with a Lots of Labels Framelit.

Sheila Roberts used the Coffee Cafe' Bundle, Coffee Break Designer Paper, and a clear Window Sheet for her creation. The "happy birthday" is from Rose Wonder and "celebrate" is from Thoughtful Banners.

Cheryl Noble used Lots of Love for her creation.

The "consider yourself hugged" circle is the end of a ribbon bookmark!

Finally, Linda Harris used the You Move Me Bundle to create her "bridge" card. I HAVE to try this fold soon!

Hey there! Today's collection of cards for Sunday Swap day are all in the browns/coffee/marbled category. In other words, pretty yummy!

First, Karen Kurz created a flip flap card with the Coffee Break Suite from pages 30 & 31 of the new Annual Catalog. Coffee Cafe stamps, Coffee Cups Framelits, and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper are just made for each other!

She used Silver Foil sheets to cut the stars and a sentiment from Big on Birthdays.

Next, Amy Combs created a fun tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create her Coffee Cafe card!

Kristi Sova used the Inlaid Embossing Technique with Garden Green and Early Espresso-punched circles and the new Garden Trellis folder to create a happy background for her coffee cup!

Finally, Jan Rodrian combined Glossy cardstock with the Marbled Background, sponging with Pear Pizazz, So Saffron, and Flirty Flamingo to create a pleasing background for the greeting from Just Add Text.

She used another sentiment from Just Add Text and another strip of glossy stamped with the Marbled Background
