Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Founder’s Circle Style!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Founder’s Circle Style!

Hey there! AS you are reading this I am on my way home from the Founder's Circle Retreat. I'm sorry it's over, but glad to be going home!

For my swap shares today I took some pics of display samples brought to Founder's by demonstrators so I have no idea who the creators are.

First, a gorgeous but easy card with For All Things from the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_for_all_things_1

For All Things again, but with a cool fold:

Stampin_up_for_all_things_2

A merge of Wondrous Wreath with Fall Fest:

Stampin_up_wondrous_wreath_1

I am pretty sure this 12 x 12 Halloween framed art was made by Glenda Travelstead:

Stampin_up_halloween

Festival of Trees:

Stampin_up_founders_circle_double_gate_fold_1

Festival of Trees framed:

Stampin_up_festival_of_trees_frame

A Petite Cafe bag from the Holiday Catalog with a punched tree (the punch matches the Festival of Trees set!)

Stampin_up_founders_circle_petite_cafe_bag

That's all for now. I will be home soon! yay! Be sure to come back and see more Founder's Circle stuff tomorrow!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day One!

Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Day One!

Hey there. Let me start by stating how very sorry I am for my absence. My hard-drive collapse, coupled with final preparations to leave for the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat, and then the whirwind of travel, has left me with no opportunity to blog at all!

Here's my technology status:

  • New hard-drive for computer: CHECK
  • Windows 7 Installed until replacement Windows 8 disc arrives from HP: CHECK
  • Major bookmarks and log-ins re-established: CHECK
  • Pictures re-loaded from camera SD card: CHECK
  • LOOONG process of categorizing said pictures: BEGUN

Things are still not where I want them to be: I still have to re-create my Carol Payne Stamps watermark in Picmonkey, re-edit the three September Christmas Card Class videos and get them uploaded to Youtube, and get my back-up programs established so when (and there's always a when) this happens again it won't be quite so devastating.

That said, let me just say that so far the 2014 Founder's Circle Retreat has been all and more than I expected it to be! If you are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram (if you want to follow me I'm instagrammy1959) you were able to see my progress across the country on Wednesday to first Las Vegas by plane and to St George, Utah by bus.

A couple of weeks ago I received this packet in the mail from Stampin'Up! containing my travel documents and info for the event:
Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_1
Inside were luggage tags, flight info, and an itinerary for each day:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_2

Arrival day itinerary:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_4

Here's my first glimpse of my home-away-from-home for the next few days;

Each Founder's Circle member has a WHOLE ROOM all their own! You just want to pinch yourself! Each year they decorate the doors with a special memento of the event:

Stampin_up_founders_circle_door_hanger

Shortly after our arrival we met in the Gathering Place to pick up our name badges, play a little Holiday Catalog Trivia game, receive a little welcome gift, then our first activity with our teams. I'm a Nutcracker!

Stampin_up_nutcrackers_2

Each team worked together to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_nutcrackers 1

We then enjoyed a delicious and beautifully appointed "Holiday Welcome" meal:

Meal

Every day we receive gifts, culminating each night with "the pillow gift"! Here's my collection from just Day 1:

Day one gifts

The "lumps of COAL"-wrapped package contained a brand-new stamp set and framelits from next Spring's Occasions Catalog! Sweet!

That's all for now! I will be back tomorrow with more Founder's Circle fun!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Bright & Beautiful 3-D Star!

Stampin’ Up! Bright & Beautiful 3-D Star!

Hey there! The first session of the Punch & Technique/Christmas Card Class starts this afternoon! yay! I can't wait to spend time with my stampin' friends!

Today's project is again made with the Bright & Beautiful set and the Star Framelits:

Stampin_up_brght_and_beautiful_3D_ornament_1

I started with three flat ornaments, gluing each layer together with Tombow Adhesive. When dry, I scored each ornament down the center on the backside, gently folded toward the front along the score line, then glued all three together, inserting the 1/8" Silver Taffeta Ribbon in the middle before finishing the gluing.

Stampin_up_bright_and_beautiful_3D_ornament_2

You can view the flat ornament and supply list I posted a few weeks ago HERE.

NOTE: The Bright & Beautiful bundle of stamps and framelits deal expired on August 31st. HOWEVER, you CAN still order the Bright & Beautiful stamp set (wood-mount #135026 $32.95, or clear-mount #135029 $24.95) and the Star Framelits (#133723 $26.95) !

When you are ready to order you, click here to go to my online store:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

That's all for now! I still have a little bit of prep for class this afternoon, so I've got to fly!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Card Thinlets Dies!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Card Thinlets Dies!

Hey there! It's Tuesday and a Liam Day! yay!

Here's another card we will make at my Christmas Card Class this week using the Snowflake Card Thinlets Dies:

Stampin_up_snowfalke_thinlet_1 - Copy

The glitz and glam on this card makes it really hard to show you just how gorgeous it is! I used Silver Foil paper cut with the snowflake thinlet die, then added an All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment and a Rhinestone to the center. I cut scrap cardstock with the same snowflake die, then used the negative from cutting (the hole after the snowflake is removed) to sponge Silver Encore Metallic ink on the Night of Navy card base. Frosted Sequins and more Rhinestones add to the "snowstorm" effect.

Stampin_up_snowflake_thinlet_2 - Copy

Flipping the snowflake center shows you the "for you" 1" Circle-punched greeting from the Letterpress Winter photopolymer set, layered on a silver foil-punched 1 3/4" Scallop Circle.

Stampin_up_snowflake_thinlet_3 - Copy

The card fully opens to reveal sentiments from the And Many More  and Watercolor Winter Too photopolymer sets with more silver-sponged snowflakes on the Whisper White.

To make this card, just click on any image in the supply list  below and you will hop right over to my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’Up! Holiday Home!

Stampin’Up! Holiday Home!

Hey there! It's Monday! I know many people hate Mondays, start dreading Monday morning on Sunday night, but I don't. I used to when I had a day-job, but since I became a full-time Stampin' Up! demo, Mondays are an exciting day for me! A whole new week to play with my stamps and accomplish things on both my "To Do" and "Want To" lists! Do you have a "Want To" list, or are all of your lists "To Do's"? Start a "Want To" list, make sure you accomplish one or two of them every week, and see if it doesn't help your outlook on Mondays!

Now that I'm off my advice-column soapbox, here's the Holiday Home card that we will be making at my Christmas Card Class this week:

Stampin_up_holiday_home_1

If you are local (and even if you are not) you can participate in my September Christmas Card Class. Just contact me to let me know you are coming to class or want to place a minimum $35 order to receive the class kits by mail. You will receive the kits to make all three cards in this class, (today's Holiday Home card plus two more, two each of the three different designs for a total of SIX cards!)

Here's the supply list for today to place your order in my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
