Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Christmas!

Hey there! Today I have another double z-fold card, but I turned the presentation differently and used Evergreen Elegance stamp set with Beauty of the Earth Designer paper:

The Beauty of the Earth Designer paper contains some lovely prints that are perfect for Winter/Christmas cards! I paired them with Night of Navy card stock and ink, along with images and sentiments from Evergreen Elegance. I cut this front greeting with a Stitched Rectangle die and accented with a Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone.

The measurements for this card:

Night of Navy base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4".

Night of Navy z-fold arm: 1" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I flipped the arm around to adhere to the base so the z-fold arm folds are opposite of the base.

Front and middle panels designer paper: 2" x 5 1/2"

Back panel Basic White: 4" x 5 1/2"

Front panel greeting: white scrap at least 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Front z-fold arm panel: white 1" x 4 1/2"

Remaining z-fold arm panels: white 1" x 2 1/8" and 1" x 2

This card came together very quickly!

I used Night of Navy to stamp the tree tops, only re-inking after stamping each tree twice to get the lighter Night of Navy shade.

Tidings & Trimmings Class-By-Mail:

Fee: $45 (shipping is free)

Receive: All of the prepped supplies to make 8 cards, two each of the four cards shown above, with envelopes and emailed instructions.

NO STAMPING, but all cutting, scoring, die-cutting and embossing will be done for you, as well as embellishments and ribbon for each card will be included in your packet.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Triangle Layers with Tidings & Trimmings!

Hey there! Today I have my final card created for Christmas in July Week! I was flipping through some past creations and ran across a couple of cards I had created with this technique. I'm still not sure what it is called, but you can find my previous creations, with dimensions and tips, HERE and HERE.

The Tidings of Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is so pretty, and on sale 15% off right now, so I wanted to create one of my Christmas In July Week cards with one of the pieces. The designer paper is one piece of double-sided Tidings of Christmas, cut on the diagonal in an "X", then two opposite pieces are flipped over before adhering to the card front.

I used this sentiment from Tidings & Trimmings again, and then added open stars, which are also from the same set. I cut it and the Evening Evergreen mat layer with Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I finished it all with a few Cherry Cobbler Rhinestones and a bow tied from Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon.

Inside I stamped the same stars with Evening Evergreen ink, and the Tidings & Trimmings sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas In July Week!

Hey there! I traditionally hold a Christmas in July class at my house, but this year circumstances are not letting it happen, so I decided to do the next best thing, hold a Christmas In July Week here on my blog!

Today's card is the first one I created with the Tidings and Trimmings bundle from the Annual Catalog!

I used Crumb Cake as my neutral instead of the usual Basic White or Very Vanilla, stamping directly on it with Evening Evergreen, then cutting with a Hippo & Friends die. I cut a larger mat layer from Cherry Cobbler with another Hippo & Friends die. The holly & star embellishments are cut with Christmas Trimmings dies.

I embossed the Soft Succulent layer with one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders that is sized to fit in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I chose my card stock colors to coordinate with the colors in the Tidings of Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper I used on the card front.

Inside I stamped again on Crumb Cake with a Tidings & Trimmings sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink.

I had fun creating my first Christmas card of 2021! I will be back tomorrow with another Tidings & Trimmings creation!

Our Family Pictures!

Hey there! No card sharing today, but I'll be back tomorrow with a new creation to kick off the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog. Today I'm sharing our annual family Christmas card and pictures of our growing family.

First, our family Christmas card. We took most of these pictures in September during our September family birthday celebration. Right now we have birthdays in all months of the year except March and June!

My daughter, Jessica, is our photographer. She used a timer to set up the shots and jump in before the shutter snapped!

The back side of our card featured all of the grands. Left to right back row: Oakley, Maddie Kate, Ava, Cohen, and Liam.

Front row left to right: Jaxon (holding Avara), Darcy, Cyndal, Fiona, Ivory, and Lando.

Now I will share individual family pics. Starting with Jessica's family left to right: Luke Thompson (Maddie Kate's fiance'), Maddie Kate, Jessica, Johnny, Cohen, Ava, with Jaxon in the front.

Christmas pic: Jaxon (almost 9) Madddie Kate (19), Ava (15), and Cohen (almost 13) . Cohen's shirt says "I paused my game to be here"!

Next, Kimberly's family: Liam, Kimberly, Tony, Darcy. Baby Fiona in front.

Next is newlyweds Troy & Grace. They will celebrate their 2-year anniversary in March!

Last but certainly not least, our youngest son, Benjamin. He is currently living with us again while he takes classes to become a high school English teacher.
